  • Part 1 Devon Tour. We tour Devon in our campervan, Vandolph Elddis CV40. Day 1 & 2 of our tour, we take you to Exmouth, East Devon. The town is motorhome friendly; we park up next to the sea and wild camp in the long stay estuary carpark. We capture the most amazing sunrise, which will blow you away. The town is unspoilt, family friendly and most certainly a town you must visit, if you visit Devon. We drone the local area and the estuary, capturing some great footage. The local leisure centre allows motorhomers to use their showers and facilities for £2, which is amazing when you are wild camping. Travelling in our campervan with no plans or campsites booked. How long can we wild camp without booking into a campsite. On day 2 we end the vlog heading to Budleigh Salterton and drone the arson attacked manor house. Please subscribe, ring the bell to watch part 2 to see more of amazing Devon. We have fallen on love with the devon coast, you will too.

thank you for showing us Exmouth, one of the local towns, we are on the other side of the estuary, probably could see us on your drone shot!
that's near Powderham, on the Dawlish rd. A379.
Interesting staying at the estuary car park. A few years ago, travellers set up camp there and there were quite a few vans, so eventually they went,( not sure how)? and I think the council changed the payments and conditions. like you say people still stay there, and no harm done. some people have mentioned the maer car park, which is a long stay, and you can overnight there.
thank you for the excellent filming, very nice shots. the estuary being tidal has excellent, bird wildlife migration in autumn, worth a watch and visit.
The boat yard part where you went, i think was called Shelly beach?, and back in the 30s probably right up until about 10 years ago, people were living down there in old prefab type houses, it was a whole community of people, then got sold off and and flats were built , not very affordable ones either. The M&S is not that old and there was nothing there before apart from sea views!
enjoy your journeys, and pebble beach at Budleigh...!

Hi and thank you for your comments, very interesting, and educational, I absolutely loved stayin at the estuary, peaceful and the best views and sunset ever! We litter picked too and paid the overnight charge, so hopefully left it a cleaner place and money in the councils pocket, Tracey loved the M&S store a little too much. You’re so lucky living where you do and you seem to be very appreciative of it. Hope to be back down end of summer and hope you can keep watching our vlogs.
      Much love sent to you

No motorhomes after 10pm and no overnighting but does it anyway.
No wonder the UK hates motorhomes.

The Uk loves motorhomes and we paid overnight parking with no height barriers, we litter picked so left it better and richer than it was, we spent at M&S so spent more then we would of done if we had gone to a campsite/field. Not for us we like the adventure, surely a good thing. 👊😁no harm to no one! Thanks for your comment tho it’s great to hear peoples point of view either way! ❤

Exmouth was one of my top spots for camper van park ups at queens drive. But sadly my van was to long to park up overlooking the sea. Maer road car 24 hour £11 a night. Even the free park up at estuary view had hight restriction barrier installed. If you are going to north Devon. a good camp site is the Tarka trail camping. You can stay at the long stay car park in Bideford also. Not as nice as Exmouth.

Hi sally and Mike! Yep we loved it sadly home now, well on another site back in northampton, I’ll keep the targa trail site in mind! We stayed at Morrisons my parking space the last night in Bideford and enjoyed a lovely fry up breakfast before the 6 hours drive home, hope you enjoyed the vlog 🇬🇧👍
