@@iemier He is like the high dragun (spoilers) he has a lot of gimmicks, the rat has rat related things, poison, rat traps etc., but his second phase is a metal gear, it has a lot of special weapons, won't get into that, but there is a last phase, and this phase is basically punch out, you can die at anytime during phase 1 and 2, haven't gotten to phase 3, just know about it.
Couple tips: Chests have rarity. brown are the worst, then blue, green, red and black is the best. try not to waste keys. It is to build the bullet that kills the past, it takes 4 items, the prime primer on the second floor, the arcane gunpowder on the third floor, the bullet casing on the fourth floor, and the obsidian she'll casing on the fifth floor, give these to the forge shop don't remember her name, but she will ask you for those items, you give it to her, and she will give you the bullet that kills the past, you use it to of course kill your characters past, for the Marine it's bitching out when his fleet needed him, for the pilot it is bitching out and leaving his partner, the convicts is giving up and being arrested, and the hunters past when she failed to complete her mission, complete their past you get a alt skin, fight with the skin and kill the past again you get an alt weapon starter skin, you can unlock two other playable characters free of charge to play, then you have two other characters that cost hegemony credits, these being the paradox, and the gunslinger.

In order to open it, you need an item from the first secret floor, which is accessed from the first actual floor. - The Gorguns' shockwave is what turned you to stone. You can dodge-roll over it to avoid the effect. - The room at 10:35 is a jumping puzzle. You have to ride the minecarts along invisible tracks and dodge-roll at the right time to cross the room. At the other end is an item you need for the true ending. You can also cheese the room with certain items. - Green ammo boxes will refill your currently equipped weapon. Brown ones partially refill all your weapons' ammo reserves. - You earnt the Master Bullet by beating the boss without taking damage. There's one of each per floor, and you'll need them for a sidequest. - The 'Cool-Aid Man' is a health storage system. Interacting with healing items when you are already max health will put the health into storage, and can be accessed later from either the elevator to the next floor or the shop. Be aware, it resets after each floor. - The Drill is part of the Payday 2 crossover. You attach it to a chest, and it turns into a small horde-mode style arena. Survive for long enough, and the drill will open the chest without needing a key. - You can steal items from the shop, though to do so you will need certain equipment.
To be fair, the Marines' pistol is probably the most reliable starting weapon in the game (when compared to everyone elses' infinite-ammo starter weapons).

A few tips just in case you see this comment: If a chest moves when you first enter the room, it's a Mimic. If you shoot every chest you see once, you'll always know whether it's a Mimic or not instantly and can avoid wasting a key on it AND getting attacked once you waste said key. Killing Mimics will drop whatever was inside them for free. If you play as the Huntress, you'll have a doggo that barks constantly at chests that are Mimics to let you know (but you could just shoot every chest once with your infinite ammo gun and that also tells you). Chest color directly correlates to the rarity of the goodies inside: Brown < Blue < Green < Red < Black < Rainbow. There are also Synergy, Glitched, and Rat Chests. There are two locked chests every floor. One will always give you a gun, one will always give you a power-up of some kind. You get two free blanks every floor if you used all of your blanks up on the previous floor. Freezing enemies is super useful and it does actually work against the bosses, slowing them down and making them fire less bullets. I think the rule is that if you keep hitting the bosses with the freeze, they'll stay slow, but if you let up and they get unfrozen you can't freeze them a second time. I am super impressed at how far you got on your first try (tbh Hollow is THE WORST and it took me forever to get past it) and also glad to see you playing this game. I don't know that I ever expected you to! There's still a lot left for you to discover, though I think you'll find it's similar to Undermine in a lot of ways lol
hey when you saw the drill you are meant to get it by either stealing it or shooting at the shop keeper leaving via teleport and coming back (you might have to do this a couple times) if he is gone the drill should be free hope this helps anyone wanting to know and if you hit a chest with it enough the drill latchs on the chest and enemys spawn when you kill them the chest opens up give you its loot it also increases the chance of finding payday easter eggs because it is one.
If you kill a boss without taking damage you get more health containers. There is a fireplace that you can push a water barrel into, after doing so walk into the fire place and press a switch. Hope I helped Df, if you ended up reading this that is Edit: oh and you can press the interact button on harts in order to save them later
Quick tip on character selection: each character has their own starting items, passive, active, and sometimes even guns. The marine has an item that gives him 1 armor each floor, one that reduces reload time and increases accuracy, and the ammo drop. The pilot has a lockpick, which has a chance to open chests for free or lock the forever, as well as some other stuff I dont remember. The hunter has a crossbow and a dog, who has a chance of finding items such as ammo containers, hearts, keys, or money. Also, the green ammo containers fully refill any ONE weapons ammo to full, but the red ones refill ALL your weapons ammo by half. The chests also have a hierarchy of tiers, which goes: brown, blue, green, red, black (which has cursed items sometimes), then lastly rainbow (which is a special kind that you cant normally find) if I'm correct. On that note, cursed items are powerful guns, passive items, or active items that give you a single point of curse. For each point of curse you have, enemies have a chance of becoming "jammed" which turns them red and makes them do a full heart of damage per hit, which can apply to bosses. At 8 curse points, a reaper enemy will follow you for the rest of your run, occassionally attacking, and it cant be damaged at all. Also, once you gain a point of curse, you cant remove it even if you drop the item that gave you it, so be careful. And that's some general, helpful info about the game from someone who's played it way too much, lol. I'll let you figure the rest out, though, ;) Edit: Thank you to those who have corrected some of the mistakes I've made, theres also apparently been some changes since I last played, lol. And I was honestly never too sure about the order of the chest tiers when it came to blue and green.
WolvesoftheBeyond Ragsmore you are correct on almost everything just two minor corrections. 1 swap the swap green and blue in the chest rarity. (Think green as in uncommon and blue as in rare in most games with that sort of thing) and 2 the red ammo fills the equipped gun by half all other guns are given 20 or 25%. Edit: and 1 side note it is possible to find a rainbow chest in a normal run but you have to be the luckiest bugger to get one to spawn as they don’t spawn in the normal chest locations they are an extremely rare room drop
Some corrections: - the marine has 1 starting amor, not +1 each floor. - cursed items aren't only in black chests. Rainbow ones can be found in normal mode too, but they're super rare (and sometimes disguised as brown chests). There are also glitched chests, extra rare as well. - the Lord of the Jammed appears at 10 curse, not 8, and he attacks on sight. You can actually decrease curse by dropping items. At 10, however, you'll have to also change level for the LotJ to disappear. - there's also an hidden "coolness" mechanic, working kinda the opposite of "curse".

I never got anything good from green and it always showed up more for me than blue did so going of similar colour rarities in other games you understand my confusion. As for the rainbow chests showing up in normal chest rooms... really!? In over 600 hours never happened to me though I’ve had them show up in normal rooms quite a few times. I genuinely had no idea
There is a way to steal things in Enter The Gungeon, you just need an active item (bottom left) called the grappling hook, you can grapple an item towards you and steal it, but beware the shop keeper will never come back on that run if you steal and item
a few things you should know: If you no hit a main floor boss you get rewarded fo a master round in addition to the item/gun which increases your max HP. Press i to open the ammonomicon, it explains what your stuff does. There 5 tiers pf chests: brown,blue,green,red,black Black is the best and brown is the worst. Always open a red or a black chest if you see it because they usually contain very OP items/guns. There are 5 secret floors in this game:The sewers, Abby of the true gun, RR's lair, R&G dept and Bullet hell. Check out the wiki to find out how to access each one. In this game, each character has a uniqe past you need too kill, but getting the gun that can kill the past isn't enough. Talk to the blacksmith in the forge, she'll explain everything. Gonna drop small tips for ya hope they help. You did your first floor great. If you don't open a chest before fighting the boss you force it to drop you a weapon instead of taking the chance of weapon or passive upgrade.

Things about KEYS: the price will go up by 5 each floor. Some chests are Fused so save keys just in case (they explode and destroy your loot). In the room where the people were you did use a key, A golden key, you need to find that by killing enemies to get more NPCs and more items unlocked. I hope this was helpfull to anyone reading.

Hey DF, I want to help as well! -If you really can’t open a chest with a key, you could open it by shooting it, but be careful, it could explode! -Not taking any damage during a boss fight rewards you with the extra item, it gives you one heart. -Red and black enemies and bullets are called jammed and deal a full heart of damage instead of a half heart, and are more powerful than usual. They may also drop more cash. -Some items and guns are cursed. The more curse you have the more jammed enemies appear. With enough curse bosses may become jammed and you may start being followed by an invincible enemy... -If you’re on fire, stop, drop, and roll to put it out. -Red chests have the lowest tier items, and black chests have the highest tier items. -The boss will always drop a gun if you haven’t picked one up on the same chamber.
Shooting chests do not open them, they just drop other random things mostly junk, unless the chest is a mimic, then it will drop its items. And red chests are not the lowest tiers, one of the top actually, brown chests are and the highest is rainbow if you're extremely lucky. But besides that, great advice.
@@theocartergaming1075 i know he has some pretty good day 1 skills but the mine flayer for new player can make or break a run and because he had the bees he could just ignore most of his patterns and spam them he is pretty good for a new player but if he hadnt gotten his guns he wouldn't have made it far the proof is on his second run he died on floor 3 he is pretty good but he got carried by luck (and the beehive which is a broken weapon that is great for boss killing)
About that room where you said it was "not to trust," it requires an item from a secret floor you find on the first floor by dousing the fireplace in on of the rooms.
Yes, your type of commentary plus this game is so amazing, and a helpful and non toxic tip there is a setting in settings for a quick gun switch so you can quickly switch between two selected guns so when you're ready bind the key and money scales with floors so buy keys early and often, I hope you keep playing I love this game
Hey DF. I have a pro tips for you. Before opening chest shoot it once. There is few % that this chest can be a Mimic or a really big % if you have a lot of curses. In treasure ooms try shooting walls with guns which doesn't have unlimited ammo. Guns can make cracks in the walls and after using blanks you can open secret rooms. If secret rooms aren't in treasure rooms they can be at shop, elevator room or other npcs room. Also you can get access to secret room by taking out fire from the fireplace. You just need to kick a blue barrel (watch out enemy bullets can destroy this barrel) into fireplace and when you walk into fireplace, use interaction button to open secret floor. After secret floor you are getting Old Sigil or something like that which you can put on the altar on the 2nd floor. But you can't get hit by the enemies. To get items worth 9999 bullets you need to steal them. Try shooting shopkeeper while pressing E to "buy item". He is gonna start shooting and he is gonna kick you out but this one item will be waiting for you. This is how you are unlocking items worth 9999
Ok so the chests are ranked by color with it going brown, blue, green, red, black. Each one give you an item from its set color pool with brown often having the worst items and black having god items. Prime primer is used way late in the game so its a waste of money to buy at your current state. Finally items in the shop you buy with the green credits dont change until you buy them all so jsut spend all your money there.
DF, in the room with the fireplace on the first floor. You can roll a barrel of water (1 spawns in the room another spawns in another random spot on the floor) into the fireplace and the fire will go out. If you walk into the fireplace and press e it’ll open up a secret room that unlocks a room that has a grate (and a save & quit button) that requires 2 keys to open. This grate will take you to the oubliette which is a floor where you will find the Old Crest which can be placed on an altar on the second floor. DO NOT TAKE THE OLD CREST BEFORE YOU FIGHT THE BOSS the old crest acts like a shield that surpasses all of your health and active shield even if you pick one up after you pick up the old crest. Once you place the old crest on the altar on the second floor it will open up a staircase to the Abbey of The True Gun which is where you can fight The Old King and once you defeat him you get a synergy chest which will either grant you a synergy with an item you currently have or a random item. Thought you could use this to get better loot on earlier floors for your runs cause you land on the third floor when you leave the abbey of the true gun
1st advice: if you beat a boss without taking damage you get a extra heart. 2nd advice:here are the rank of the chests in order S rank(the best):Black coloured chest A rank:Red coloured chest B rank:Green coloured chest C rank:Blue coloured chest And D rank:Brown coloured chest 3rd advice:In the first floor there's a room with like a chimney thing with fire, if you get a water barrel to it you can turn off the fire and get inside the chimney, then inside there press the action button and a secret room will open, there will be a trapdoor with two key holes, use two keys and jump inside the trapdoor to unlock a secret floor. Great, now you know everything you need to start.

hey when you saw the drill you are meant to get it by either stealing it or shooting at the shop keeper leaving via teleport and coming back (you might have to do this a couple times) if he is gone the drill should be free hope this helps anyone wanting to know and if you hit a chest with it enough the drill latchs on the chest and enemys spawn when you kill them the chest opens up give you its loot it also increases the chance of finding payday easter eggs because it is one.

If you kill a boss without taking damage you get more health containers. There is a fireplace that you can push a water barrel into, after doing so walk into the fire place and press a switch. Hope I helped Df, if you ended up reading this that is

Quick tip on character selection: each character has their own starting items, passive, active, and sometimes even guns. The marine has an item that gives him 1 armor each floor, one that reduces reload time and increases accuracy, and the ammo drop. The pilot has a lockpick, which has a chance to open chests for free or lock the forever, as well as some other stuff I dont remember. The hunter has a crossbow and a dog, who has a chance of finding items such as ammo containers, hearts, keys, or money.
Also, the green ammo containers fully refill any ONE weapons ammo to full, but the red ones refill ALL your weapons ammo by half. The chests also have a hierarchy of tiers, which goes: brown, blue, green, red, black (which has cursed items sometimes), then lastly rainbow (which is a special kind that you cant normally find) if I'm correct.
On that note, cursed items are powerful guns, passive items, or active items that give you a single point of curse. For each point of curse you have, enemies have a chance of becoming "jammed" which turns them red and makes them do a full heart of damage per hit, which can apply to bosses. At 8 curse points, a reaper enemy will follow you for the rest of your run, occassionally attacking, and it cant be damaged at all. Also, once you gain a point of curse, you cant remove it even if you drop the item that gave you it, so be careful.
And that's some general, helpful info about the game from someone who's played it way too much, lol. I'll let you figure the rest out, though, ;)
Edit: Thank you to those who have corrected some of the mistakes I've made, theres also apparently been some changes since I last played, lol. And I was honestly never too sure about the order of the chest tiers when it came to blue and green.
WolvesoftheBeyond Ragsmore you are correct on almost everything just two minor corrections. 1 swap the swap green and blue in the chest rarity. (Think green as in uncommon and blue as in rare in most games with that sort of thing) and 2 the red ammo fills the equipped gun by half all other guns are given 20 or 25%. Edit: and 1 side note it is possible to find a rainbow chest in a normal run but you have to be the luckiest bugger to get one to spawn as they don’t spawn in the normal chest locations they are an extremely rare room drop
Some corrections:
- the marine has 1 starting amor, not +1 each floor.
- cursed items aren't only in black chests. Rainbow ones can be found in normal mode too, but they're super rare (and sometimes disguised as brown chests). There are also glitched chests, extra rare as well.
- the Lord of the Jammed appears at 10 curse, not 8, and he attacks on sight.
You can actually decrease curse by dropping items. At 10, however, you'll have to also change level for the LotJ to disappear.
- there's also an hidden "coolness" mechanic, working kinda the opposite of "curse".

- green is actually better than blue.
- rainbow chests can spawn in the normal locations.

I never got anything good from green and it always showed up more for me than blue did so going of similar colour rarities in other games you understand my confusion. As for the rainbow chests showing up in normal chest rooms... really!? In over 600 hours never happened to me though I’ve had them show up in normal rooms quite a few times. I genuinely had no idea

There is a way to steal things in Enter The Gungeon, you just need an active item (bottom left) called the grappling hook, you can grapple an item towards you and steal it, but beware the shop keeper will never come back on that run if you steal and item

a few things you should know:
If you no hit a main floor boss you get rewarded fo a master round in addition to the item/gun which increases your max HP.
Press i to open the ammonomicon, it explains what your stuff does.
There 5 tiers pf chests:
brown,blue,green,red,black
Black is the best and brown is the worst. Always open a red or a black chest if you see it because they usually contain very OP items/guns.
There are 5 secret floors in this game:The sewers, Abby of the true gun, RR's lair, R&G dept and Bullet hell. Check out the wiki to find out how to access each one.
In this game, each character has a uniqe past you need too kill, but getting the gun that can kill the past isn't enough. Talk to the blacksmith in the forge, she'll explain everything.
There are 4 secret characters you can unlock too, check out the wiki to find out how to unlock them.

Gonna drop small tips for ya hope they help. You did your first floor great. If you don't open a chest before fighting the boss you force it to drop you a weapon instead of taking the chance of weapon or passive upgrade.
Can't wait till he tries the harder, out of the way areas/bosses of the game.

Things about KEYS: the price will go up by 5 each floor. Some chests are Fused so save keys just in case (they explode and destroy your loot). In the room where the people were you did use a key, A golden key, you need to find that by killing enemies to get more NPCs and more items unlocked. I hope this was helpfull to anyone reading.

-If you really can’t open a chest with a key, you could open it by shooting it, but be careful, it could explode!
-Not taking any damage during a boss fight rewards you with the extra item, it gives you one heart.
-Red and black enemies and bullets are called jammed and deal a full heart of damage instead of a half heart, and are more powerful than usual. They may also drop more cash.
-Some items and guns are cursed. The more curse you have the more jammed enemies appear. With enough curse bosses may become jammed and you may start being followed by an invincible enemy...
-If you’re on fire, stop, drop, and roll to put it out.
-Red chests have the lowest tier items, and black chests have the highest tier items.
-The boss will always drop a gun if you haven’t picked one up on the same chamber.
Shooting chests do not open them, they just drop other random things mostly junk, unless the chest is a mimic, then it will drop its items. And red chests are not the lowest tiers, one of the top actually, brown chests are and the highest is rainbow if you're extremely lucky. But besides that, great advice.

@@theocartergaming1075 i know he has some pretty good day 1 skills but the mine flayer for new player can make or break a run and because he had the bees he could just ignore most of his patterns and spam them he is pretty good for a new player but if he hadnt gotten his guns he wouldn't have made it far the proof is on his second run he died on floor 3 he is pretty good but he got carried by luck (and the beehive which is a broken weapon that is great for boss killing)

About that room where you said it was "not to trust," it requires an item from a secret floor you find on the first floor by dousing the fireplace in on of the rooms.

Yes, your type of commentary plus this game is so amazing, and a helpful and non toxic tip there is a setting in settings for a quick gun switch so you can quickly switch between two selected guns so when you're ready bind the key and money scales with floors so buy keys early and often, I hope you keep playing I love this game

Hey DF. I have a pro tips for you. Before opening chest shoot it once. There is few % that this chest can be a Mimic or a really big % if you have a lot of curses. In treasure ooms try shooting walls with guns which doesn't have unlimited ammo. Guns can make cracks in the walls and after using blanks you can open secret rooms. If secret rooms aren't in treasure rooms they can be at shop, elevator room or other npcs room. Also you can get access to secret room by taking out fire from the fireplace. You just need to kick a blue barrel (watch out enemy bullets can destroy this barrel) into fireplace and when you walk into fireplace, use interaction button to open secret floor. After secret floor you are getting Old Sigil or something like that which you can put on the altar on the 2nd floor. But you can't get hit by the enemies. To get items worth 9999 bullets you need to steal them. Try shooting shopkeeper while pressing E to "buy item". He is gonna start shooting and he is gonna kick you out but this one item will be waiting for you. This is how you are unlocking items worth 9999
Ok so the chests are ranked by color with it going brown, blue, green, red, black. Each one give you an item from its set color pool with brown often having the worst items and black having god items. Prime primer is used way late in the game so its a waste of money to buy at your current state. Finally items in the shop you buy with the green credits dont change until you buy them all so jsut spend all your money there.

YES. DF finally playing Enter the Gungeon. I love this game so much, I want to see you play more of it!
DF, in the room with the fireplace on the first floor. You can roll a barrel of water (1 spawns in the room another spawns in another random spot on the floor) into the fireplace and the fire will go out. If you walk into the fireplace and press e it’ll open up a secret room that unlocks a room that has a grate (and a save & quit button) that requires 2 keys to open. This grate will take you to the oubliette which is a floor where you will find the Old Crest which can be placed on an altar on the second floor. DO NOT TAKE THE OLD CREST BEFORE YOU FIGHT THE BOSS the old crest acts like a shield that surpasses all of your health and active shield even if you pick one up after you pick up the old crest. Once you place the old crest on the altar on the second floor it will open up a staircase to the Abbey of The True Gun which is where you can fight The Old King and once you defeat him you get a synergy chest which will either grant you a synergy with an item you currently have or a random item. Thought you could use this to get better loot on earlier floors for your runs cause you land on the third floor when you leave the abbey of the true gun
I've been wanting this for so long but after the Undermine videos i hadn't expected anything else
1st advice: if you beat a boss without taking damage you get a extra heart.
2nd advice:here are the rank of the chests in order
S rank(the best):Black coloured chest
A rank:Red coloured chest
B rank:Green coloured chest
C rank:Blue coloured chest
And D rank:Brown coloured chest
3rd advice:In the first floor there's a room with like a chimney thing with fire, if you get a water barrel to it you can turn off the fire and get inside the chimney, then inside there press the action button and a secret room will open, there will be a trapdoor with two key holes, use two keys and jump inside the trapdoor to unlock a secret floor.
