    Hi from Portugal,
I think a roundabout instead of the intersection would help to decrease the problem. But 1st the drivers had to understand how it works and adapt driving to it.

Places where residential intersections exists need to have speed limit reduced to 45mph. This reduction would have prevented the death of this beautiful soul.

The Haynes Crossing exit is extremely dangerous with ZERO warning signage leaving the subdivision or headed to Frankfort or the opposite direction to Lexington. The opposite is true x miles away in Lexington.
The exit from Westmorland onto Versailles Rd, near Keeneland has multiple signage. There are two sets of large yellow crossing signs with yellow flashing lights, one going towards Keeneland, the same in the opposite direction before you get to Westmorland.
In addition, there are two more large yellow crossing warning signs with flashing lights, one facing each direction, directly over the road crossing.
Both McClelland Circle and Versailles Road are divided highways. Both subdivisions exit from the north, and there are open fields opposite the exit.
One of the three witnesses interviewed said Robert Brewer, the driver of the Ram Truck, passed her speeding at 75-80 MPH. The speed limit is 55 MPH.
Troy Brewer’s truck T-boned Sydney Cassady’s Toyota Corolla right onto the driver’s door. She was killed instantly. Brewer is now suing the Cassady parents for damages to the front of his 2014 Ram 1500 truck. Brewer’s Alcohol and drugs blood tests were pending per the police report.
