yea few years ago i used to be 300 pounds living in a hotel was very depressed wasnt doing anything in life would just order food everyday its comfort when youre bored having nothing to do the food is there to give u that good feeling but ever since i left from that hotel ive gotten my weight way down im 190 pounds right now i really dont eat much at all anymore to be honest barely think about food nowadays but yea excessive eating is when youre bored or depressed for that comfort

I used to weigh 380+ lbs because I was very depressed I got down to 226 lbs in a year because of sports and family pushing me I then had some health issues and lost a lot of family members really quickly I am now backup to 270 but want to start losing again but all these bad things happening with my family I find to much comfort in food sadly 😔

Not on the level of these people here, but I wanted to share my journey with anyone who doubts that they can make big changes. In April of 2024, I weighed in at 422lbs. I decided enough is enough and made some drastic changes. I started the Carnivore diet and not long after that, started doing CrossFit 5 days a week. As of today, I weigh 283lbs and have lost just under 140lbs in 8 months. I still got more to go and plenty more goals to achieve, and I will reach those goals. I know it's cliche, but it's real. If I can do it, you can too! Best of luck to anyone who is making brave changes
Telling an overweight person to "stop eating" is like telling an alcoholic to "stop drinking" or a drug user to "stop injecting." The difference is we DO need to eat to live. I'm not taking the blame away from any of the people in these populations, but there is a bent toward a particular addiction in each one. And I've personally faced a major problem while trying to lose weight. An alcoholic can quit drinking for a couple of months and people notice a significant difference. Same with a drug addict. People like this can try for months and still look heavy, regardless of their progress, and continue to get ridiculed. Then, all it takes is one weak "what's the point" moment. Just say'en.

Especially when you’re depressed. Binge eating is at an all time high. Food gives you temporary pleasure. You don’t feel that much pleasure when depressed so things like sex, drugs, food give you those dopamine hits to satisfy you for a little bit.
My older sister has a mental disability and it has caused her to eat and she relies on food to function and she is at least 350-400 lbs. while it could be more or less I wouldn’t know due to us no longer communicating

The scary thing is, It's more possible than you think. Its totally possible to reach 20,000 calories with a high UPF diet bro. I'll give you an example of just breakfast... A large bowl(1000ml) of plain granola(610g = 2,980 calories according to Nutritionix), with British double cream(750ml = 3500 calories), or a total of 6480 in just your cereal. Wash that down with a large Peanut butter and Banana smoothie with double cream... You're now sitting over 10,000 calories for just breakfast alone bro... When you add lunch, snacks, dinner and desserts into the equation, 20,000 calories a day is easy.
