As a Vols fan I watched this kid a lot this Season and the bigger the game the better he was. Dalton is for real, he creates shots and if they feed him he will thrive. Gonna make most if not all teams that passed on him regret it and I’m calling it now 2024-25 ROY!! GBO🍊🍊

laker fan since 1980 or so here....and i have not been this excited for a laker pick in long long time...like you said he will remember, and i love his story...worked to get where he got, not that others didnt, but his story is rare, and 6'6 good wingspan AND 39" vert..off ball movement, off the catch, catch and shoot, can attack basket. and being coached by JJ who at press conference turned me around to him as our new coach(F duke). I am stoked

Austin has a better handle and better defensive player and finisher as of now. Until Dalton ACTUALLY plays in the NBA among adults and his game translates in the pros, he's just potential right now. I love him but he might be traded for a Trae or Murray.
I love Dalton especially with JJ as his coach, but Luka was dominating Euro league at 17 which is substantially higher level basketball than NCAA. Dalton could be a more athletic JJ type of player which is why this pick is perfect for LA. He can go be a scorer immediately and is athletic enough to improve his defense to not be picked on by year 2 or 3.
