I am going through to this kind of church hurt right now and man, it truly is hurtful and painful. My family don't know how to process these things for this church is the first church when we got started as a Christian. It is all new to us especially the pain. I found this video right after asking God why he allowed people in church who I helped a lot to turn on me. Then these enemies would then befriend the pastor, turn him against me, then these pastors would remove me from church committees I worked on. This has happened in more than one church after I labored and helped the church so much. One of the churches I was a long-term member for 16 years. My pain runs deep, especially since I asked these pastors why they removed me without any explanation as to what I did wrong. They just stated they just want me off the committee and afterwards treat me much worse than before. Now I'm feeling betrayed, used and discouraged 😢😢 Please pray for me that God heal my pain and give me courage in this trial!
I am so sorry you have had to go through this. You certainly have not been in a healthy church environment. And I know you feel like so much has been wasted there. While replying to you here, a verse came to mind. Perhaps the Lord wants to speak to you through it. Check out Joel 2:25. I believe that verse for you!
