yeahhhh! I was late getting Duncan an idea for a thumbnail, and his fantastic art takes time, so I just moved it to the next day. So you got a 24 hr sneak peek!
Cursed Soul definitely needs a win condition other than "kill everyone else". It's a really fun role to have in town, but probably not that fun if you're trying to actually win. And the condition should be of a sort where it leaves town, not the one that ends the game. My previous idea was that it just needs to survive until day 4 without dying or turning back into Cursed Soul, which then kills the one that currently holds Cursed Soul role, like a hot potato. The other idea I have as a penalty for letting it win would be to reveal all roles that got involved in swapping without saying who got swapped. Alternatively, make it so Cursed Soul can only win by dying. For example, Cursed Soul Chilled swapped with Tracker Vikram, then Cursed Soul Vikram swapped with Wildling Ze. Then Chilled died. He can now pick between Vikram and Ze and possess them, winning if possessed player achieves their win condition and being able to talk to them at night like a medium. And give them additional powers depending on the amount of swaps that happened. For example, after four swaps, dead Cursed Soul can see current roles of all swapped players. After fifth, they can also see their current factions. After sixth, they can barrier their host with a single night cooldown. After seventh, they can force their host and everyone in their faction to win, as well as the last player to initiate a swap. Because, if Cursed Soul role is not dead after seven turns, that's kinda impressive enough to be rewarded with a win.
Spending the whole session tuned out watching sports, only to jump back in and immediately ignore being blackmailed and prosecuting Courtily... Real class act, Vikram.
I have seen the first game three times from different persepectives- Ze, Cheesy, and now Chilled. I still can't believe that youtube subtitles said Army Jailer each time.
I'd replace the Prosecutor with a Marshall on the last game, 4 teams competing to vote the other 3 when the Marshall pop out would be pretty interesting to watch.
An idea for the crazy last game, with all of the cursed souls; at least one marshall. Not sure if that's a good idea, or a bad idea, but it is an idea.
That first game was wild from the start XD It had me rolling with my chair LMFAO! OMGOSH! THE SECOND ONE WAS EVEN BETTER XD LMFAO!!!! OMGOSH! The last round was just fking nuts XD
The problem with having too many cursed souls is that they are a faction together with their own night chat. If no cursed soul died night 1, there would be a high chance they would already have majority day 2.
While I cannot confirm or deny the Cursed Soul arsonist interaction, there is a very good chance it operates as though there are multiple arsonists in the game. If you as an arsonist douse someone, if another arsonist then later ignites, they ignite ALL doused players, however, any arsonist can only see who they themselves doused. The doused factor is only removed by specific interactions. Arsonist when staying home will clean themselves off, n' I believe admirer can care fer their lover which removes oil. (Though I don't think it removes it from themselves, so might be a moot point in a lot of cases) This also means that as the arsonist you can ignite and kill yerself.
59:29 ha that reminds me of when you and Galm played and Galm got the one investigator you put into the list out of like 17 of the fun roles you put in
I thought both were able to get their words in. I mean, the vote definitely reflected Court's side anyway (even if some of it was nefarious voting.) Kara realized she made a terrible mis-read and was desperate to try and correct that. But I was still able to hear Court's allegations.
Vikram at the end of the last game: for the sack of integrity you have to vote innocent Then you realize Vikram ruined the game's integrity on day 2 when he talked while blackmailed and wound up getting someone else killed due to it lol Not sure who should've won to keep the game's integrity as Vikram should've been killed night 2/executed day 3 for that blunder
Did Vikram actually say anything all that bad though? I was trying to hone in on what he said, but it sounded like all he was doing was looking for a random number. So it seems like the 'random' prosecution was still going to happen (albeit, maybe not on Courtilly until she spoke, ironically.) Don't get me wrong, he definitely needed to pay attention with being silenced, but it didn't seem like he said anything TOO terrible. That mistake is bound to happen though. Kind of wish there was a stronger visual on screen for the players. I know the game isn't intended to be played via voice chat, but still.
Can you imagine if it was a 50% chance that investigator gave the right info or 50% chance that coven actually killed their target? I get cursed soul is supposed to be a "lol random" role, but I wish it was a bit less random.
I think it makes sense for cursed soul to be random vs the other things you mention. With investigator or coven kills, the entire intent of the action is to learn info or kill someone. On the other side, with the cursed soul, you're getting a 2-for-1 special: 1. You get a new role 2. You have a 50% chance of knowing the role of the person you targeted. If it was any more certain than 50%, there are so many scenarios in which the cursed soul becomes way too powerful. If you snag the werewolf, serial killer, conjurer, or ritualist, it's game over for your target. We can probably add vigilante and jailor to that list as well. Seems a bit much to be able to steal their role AND kill them in consecutive nights.
@@IRanOutOfPhrases They could just make it so you have the same limitation as a N1 vigi and you can't kill the first night you have the role if it was that big of an issue. But honestly cursed soul has a huge uphill battle if they kill the person they swapped with right away. Then they just outed their role by the faction color (for example, if they kill a purple cursed soul, then both coven and town know they swapped with coven, with coven knowing the particular role). If they wanted it to a random swapping type role they could have you choose two targets and have multiple results: -both targets swap roles -you swap role with target 1 -you swap role with target 2 -everyone swaps roles
@@Sybato The cursed soul wouldn't be outed though. Sure, people would know the CS is the one who landed the kill, but there's no telling WHO did it. Obviously it's no big deal for a regular SK to use their role thus 'outing' their existence. What negative is there for the CS if everyone knows that the CS is now the SK? It doesn't seem particularly helpful. The bigger issue for everyone else is the fact that there is an SK out there who can take more people out. That it used to be a CS isn't of any particular importance.
