Sad to see you don’t do many videos anymore. Just discovered ya and this was better than command quarters in my opinion! Very concise explanations for all the synergy and uses. Thanks!
@@CommandValleyI'm really just enjoying what you guys are doing in general. But if you're asking maybe do something on Esper control or UW control around Ephara, God of the Polis.
We’ve got some control lovers here, we’ll see what we can do! Check out our Merieke deck tech if you haven’t already: th-cam.com/video/OCRGBj_H4fI/w-d-xo.html
I really enjoyed how you break every thing down and explain what would go into the deck and why. Alot of videos just compile a list of cards but have no context. Would you consider cards like resonator and helm of the host to double up on the coin counters? Also what do you think of whip of erebos for this deck?
Thank you for the feedback! Yep, we definitely wanted to put Strionic Resonator in, just cut it from the tech in favor of talking more about the recursion (I believe we added it to the deck list, might have to double check). Helm of the Host is a great card as well for the strategy, but we chose not to add it in favor of some reanimator cards that can achieve the strategy as well.
Being able to recover creatures from exile is a very interesting aspect of Athroes. I'd like to mention Diabolic Servitude as a reliable reanimator that this deck can use. Do you plan on doing a deck tech for Gallia of the Endless Dance?
Possibly! We're intrigued by the Satyr synergy and what's to come from the new set, so we probably won't release one before the full set has been revealed. We definitely see potential in Gallia. Also, Diabolic Servitude is pretty sweet for this deck. Thank you for the suggestion!
Try out Fleshwrither with coin counter, 4 CMC directly onto the battlefield per turn. Also Dimir House Guard, tutor a card to hand every turn. Strionic Resonator to copy the coin counter effect
@@CommandValley Just realized Dimir House Guard is not transfigure, but transmute. It is payed and cast from hand, not sacrifice on battlefield. But it does however have sac a creature to regenerate, so we can still recur it in a reanimator deck with stuff like Golgari Thug
Appreciate the vid but I think there is some mistakes in the routes of play you’ve described... cant put a counter on corpse dance or dawn of the dead, just creatures... corpse dance being an instant I don’t believe you bring it back to the battlefield... maybe this part of the vid was just explained incorrectly but I don’t understand how that interaction works
Hi Jaaples! Sorry about the confusion. You’re totally right, we can’t put coin counters on those spells, but Corpse Dance and Dawn of the Dead are both very useful reanimator spells for the cases where Athreos doesn’t work. Dawn of the Dead will stay on the battlefield, and Corpse Dance has a buyback cost so we can bring it back to our hands after casting it.
What commanders/commander cards are you all excited about that are coming in Theros: Beyond Death?

I just discovered you. Great video. I like your calm voice and your way to break down and describe things, keep it up!
Just discovered this channel! Love the content, thank you!!
Thank you Vel! Let us know if there’s anything you’d like to see us talk about!

Just looked at the deck list and you already included the whip. Thank you this will help me build the deck.

Those are some awesome and creative tutor effects for Athreos! We’ll have to explore that in our future brewing. Thank you for the suggestion!

Definitely awesome additions to the deck yes! I may have to look for a copy of each! :)
