Wow, I can’t imagine doing this unmedicated! I have tremendous respect for anyone who does an unmedicated birth. Little tip from a three time mom: my first baby I pushed out from flat on my back like that, and it was two hours of pushing. With my second and third babies, I was sitting up, and both were out in two and three pushes respectively. Gravity is your friend when it comes time to push!
Yes! I had one laying down, the next standing/squatting unmedicated and the third I was laying down again (epidural) and she got stuck, so I needed a csect. Being vertical definitely helps.
My first I pushed on my back and it took 2.5 hours my second I pushed squatting on all fours and she came out in 60 seconds only! So fast! Definitely agree! ❤️
I can give birth of my baby anytime by now. I feel so relieved to be able to watch a positive, calm birth experience, help me a lot with my anxiety to give birth of my first child. Thank you so much!
Same happened with me & my water. I was induced. 3am water broke, they tested, came back negative. I told them i was sure & they ignored me. At 6am the Dr came in to break my water & said, "huh, it looks like its already broken." I said, "Yeah, 3 hours ago when I told them it did." Very frustrating. Good for you for advocating for yourself!
I’ve been so nervous about birth (I’m currently 37 weeks!) and this by far has been the best birth blog I’ve seen. You’re so tranquil and calm and made it look way less traumatic than what I’ve seen! Thanks for sharing. Xx
This birth story is so beautiful! I have watched many birth stories before and I am a Mama of almost two, but this one I keep coming back to and rewatching. It's just so inspiring to see the love you both have once your son is born... and the birth itself was nothing short of miraculous! Congratulations to you and your family!💙
You did amazing! As a German midwife it is soooo different to see all these women giving birth on their backs when there is actual evidence that the upright position is better for mum and for baby (and the pushing Periode goes by faster). Women here in Germany even stand up with epidurals. Interesting to see. But still very nice and emotional birth vlog. Congrats
My german midwifes in the hospital had me on my back and did not allow me to move up or anything, a lot of unnecessary interventions and a big and deep tear. The second time around was a homebirth on all fours - so much better and only a very small tear. Third one will hopefully be another homebirth. 🥰

You cant stand with an epidural without being 100% supported as your legs do not work. Sometimes you can with a walking epidural but they are almost not worth it.
You were so calm and quiet! I definitely screamed from pain with my home birth last year lol. But in my defense, my baby was pushing into my tailbone bc my cervix didnt line up with mu birth canal, so there was that, and also the fact that my midwife had to move my cervix so the baby could come out. Seeing this was so helpful! I want a natural unmedicated birth and we’re due in about 3.5 months. To say the fears are intense is an understatement, but I know I can do this, and seeing others go through it gives me strength!
Girl I would have yelled at everyone to hush. All of that yelling and directing you when to breath when to push. The doctor saying "listen to me". Like doc my body was meant for this I need you to kindly leave me be hahaha. Great job though, such a beautiful baby:)

I am 32 weeks pregnant & I am so inspired by this video to go through with a natrual unmedicated labor & delivery. I cried the entire video! You both have very natural & nurturing parents ❤
I have been watching some birth vlogs to overcome my fear of pregnancy. This video not only relieved some anxiety but moved me. I've been crying for the past 7 minutes now I wish you and your family the best!
I had a phobia of pregnancy from 16 to 24, to the point where I asked a doctor to sterilize me. She refused and I eventually got off birth control and my aversion was replaced with baby fever. I'm now married and having the first of many very soon, which is why I'm preparing by watching this video.
Wow, several things: (1) how did you not cry or scream at all?? I labored to “complete” unintentionally because the hospital sent me home and at the end I was crying and moaning/screaming. They were able to give me an epidural so I did deliver with it but wow, this is incredible. (2) so glad that you stood your ground and convinced them you were in labor. Hospitals are so quick to send laboring mothers home (happened to me with both pregnancies). (3) so incredibly impressed by you and your baby is so cute!!
I’m 37 weeks and seeing this I got a little nervous, spending all this hours and still stay calm and do your best, all my respect for you. You did a very good job and congratulations 🤍❤️
This was beautiful! Made me cry so much! Respect to those midwives & nurses for guiding you! Im due on June 22nd first time mom and these videos are helping prepare mentally & physically for this exact moment!
I'm at 32 weeks and didn't ever have a preference on a birth plan, and didn't really see the meaning behind natural birth... but I've been exploring it a little more. The fact that you were able to work through the pain with your practiced meditation and getting in the "zone" and that your caption says you wish you could relive it, shows me that this experience is a unique one and I'm starting to have second thoughts about any medication! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing, and congratulations!
I had a failed epidural with my daughter. Honestly after awhile dealing with contractions you can kinda get “in the zone” you get so focused and in your own head space basically that it’s not bad in my opinion. I felt everything and I’d go through it 100times over again ❤️ I definitely don’t plan on having an epidural again this time. The key is getting over the first really intense ones and not panicking or fighting your body. Once you learn to work with it you can do it ❤️ good luck mama either way you’ll do great ❤️
That was amazing kids!! Its been 48yrs since we had our firstborn and they would not let us fellas in there back then son. What I wouldn't give to have been with her then. You truly be thankful medicine has come so far. And you are one tough cookie young lady. My best half had to have epidural during both of our childrens births. Hats off to both of ya from Texas
Wow !! You guys are a great team and I'm so happy you had a beautiful experience. I can't believe how calm you were. An unmedicated birth is not easy but you made it seem so effortless that I want to try the first time without medication one last one of 3. Congratulations again 💙💙
Girl you are a BEAST! I’m having my first child and you have INSPIRED me so much not to have an epidural. You handled your birth with ABSOLUTE GRACE AND BEAUTY like seriously dog on!
She dod amazing for sure!!! In my experience as a 4 th time mom going on 5, the nerves calm down so much when you do t feel fear. Use the tub or shower ( w chair or without) and keep those positive affirmations going. Mine was I GOT THIS w my last birth. Epidural slowed my birthd down n my forat baby had to be a vacuum assist bc I couldn't feel my leg at all. There is a time when EVERY woman ( so it s said) questions qetjwr they re doing this safely or whether they can do it bc that's your brain trying to reason pain. Practice those yoga postures ..esp the ones that strengthen your pelvic floor bc they are the star of the show as they say. I love Brett Larkin Yoga n Sarah Beth yoga..both have awesome birth stories btw....Wishing you the best..hypnobirthing apps are cheap n have free downloads🎊🎉
@@ashlynmclemore4772 Congratulations. I had two c-sections so I know how you feel. It's disappointing but as long as the babies are healthy, that's all that matters.
@@B-ch6uk right. So I ended up having a second baby on my first baby’s birthday. I had 2 C-section too. Like you said as long as the babies are healthy 💙💙💙

Aw! Thank you so much. I was trying my hardest to stay in my zone. Haha. My husband and birth team helped me so much! But everyone labors totally different! Nothing wrong with screaming girl!!
This is the 2nd unmedicated birth vlog that I've seen, and still made me burst into tears right after the baby came out. It's so amazing. I'm expecting a boy to come out of me too in October, my first child too, I'm so excited! I am also thinking of doing it naturally (no-epidural) as I am pretty confident of my high tolerance in pain. You helped me feel more confident. Thanks so much! Your son looks perfect indeed! You are a beautiful family. Congratulations! 🥳
I'm 32 weeks today and I'm so so excited ❤️❤️ I can't stop watching these birthing videos. I had an epidural with my first 2 but it ran out with my son right beforeI started pushing so I felt every bit of him coming out. I was very appreciative of that so I'm going to try to go natural with this one. TRY is the operative word here lol. Y'all have a beautiful family!! Congrats 👏🎉❤️
Have given birth unmedicated 5 times Water, tub but warm shower helps, counter pressure on hips or back, being free to stand, sway, bounce on birthball or rock. Not pushing on back Side lying can help. Not pushing with all your might Slower gentle pushes
@@Suebearish it’s just not the same for everyone. Believe me, I was all in on the non-medicated water birth. Both of my deliveries (attempting water births at home) were excruciating, no matter what position I was in due to the back labor bc my uterus is tilted wrong. Its not supposed to cause an issue, but both times, it caused my cervix to not line up with my birth canal and it had to be manually moved for alignment. (1st labor was 31hrs bc of it, the second was 8 hrs). That was the worst pain ever. And I ended up delivering on my back anyway. After that, I can’t ever judge another woman for choosing a hospital birth and an epidural. Bc my next delivery will be with one. I tried so hard, but even some of us who are not high risk just can’t handle natural birth.
@melindamercier6811 I've given birth 3 times naturally. And Im definitely going to ask for an epidural this time. I just dont want to feel that transition pain and ring of fire ever again. I can't believe people go unmedicated and dont make a peep lol. Its almost as if my screams just came out of me on their own. It was like an out of body experience
I had 2 un medicated births over 40 years ago. One with pitocin to speed up contractions. It gives a WHOLE NEW MEANING to “Labor”. But It gave me such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. And babies were perfect! Women are stronger than they know. But please don’t misunderstand me. Epidurals and C sections are also great ways to bring babies into the world! I mean no disrespect to women who can’t or don’t want an unmedicated delivery. Congrats for you guys!
I had natural birth many years ago before there were epidurals. Women these days who get an epidural have no idea how painful natural birth can be. But the women who have epidurals are usually the first to complain about how painful childbirth is🙄
Watching this thrilled my heart to tears. I’m 74 y.o. and have 3 children; this brought back such precious memories. With my first two children, my doctor was out of town so the doctor filling in for him had me almost fully sedated (He didn’t know I didn’t want that.) so I remembered very little about the births. I was very sad and disappointed about that. With my third child my water broke at home and I had a natural birth with him because there wasn’t enough time to sedate me. I had him almost immediately after getting to the hospital. It was so awesome and I actually had no worse pain with the natural birth than when I was sedated. Your baby is so cute!
Omg! This was just perfect from the start to the end🙏😍 im in my week 32 almost 33, and I am crying 😂🤰😭 big congrats you guys ❤️🙏 so adorable, and Nice work mamma 💪🏼 Dad was amazing on your side🙏
I'm glad I'm not the only one crying! Haha. Congrats on your pregnancy! I wish you a healthy and safe rest of your pregnancy, along with a healthy delivery! You got this!!
I'm crying! Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm 34 weeks with my first pregnancy and also hoping for an unmedicated birth. This was exceptional to witness. Thank you so much for sharing.
Only 25 days to go and I’ll be having my third & last baby. This was such a nice video to watch! I wish I could try for unmedicated again but when I had my second, I had tried to get the epidural but I couldn’t stay still through the pain of contractions so I had to go without bc they were too nervous to try & place it safely with how bad I was shaking/moving.. and having him naturally was SO painful. I just am not sure I could go through that kind of pain again 😅 you made it look like a beautiful breeze mama! Congratulations to you both on your baby boy! 💙 there is nothing like being a mama/parent; esp alongside the one you love.
Congratulations amazing Mum for your courage and trust in your body, this was one of the sweetest and most inspiring videos I have ever seen, you truly are a force of nature! Baby and Dad looking awesome too! As a perinatal psychologist I can say the Internet needs many more videos like this of positive birth experiences. Best of all luck to the whole family!!
This is a huge testament to how pregnancy, labor, and delivery is so different for every woman. It is so amazing how much calm you exuded while unmedicated. I’ve heard women scream from the dilating contractions alone. I on the other hand, labored in every which direction but had a cervix that wasn’t lining up with the birth canal so the stabbing pain to my tailbone was excruciating when my body had to push bc baby had nowhere to go. Then my midwife had to reach up in there and move my cervix to align with the birth canal so I could finally push the baby down. I was screaming obscenities (and I dont even normally curse! 😂😂😂). Then she had to break my water bc I began panicking (I had been suffering from perinatal depression and anxiety and she didn’t want to distress me further.) Once she did that, I felt a MASSIVE relief. By that time, I was so exhausted that I had to get put on my back bc I had little strength left. But my midwives were amazing and kept me from tearing. That baby did a number on my tailbone though bc I was walking at a 90° angle for 2 days after giving birth.
That sweet baby was just like… no the 12th is an awful day to be born on! This video is an absolute inspiration! So beautiful and calm! Knowing me, when I deliver my first I’ll probably be a screaming maniac, but this video helps me confirm the fact that I can and will have an unmedicated birth!
Omg. I'm 34 weeks with my second one and this made me tear up! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. My first was traumatic and I am praying this next one will be different. ♥️
This is one of the most beautiful birth vlogs I have ever seen. That baby boy is beautiful and adorable in every single way. I just had my first baby girl almost 4 months ago and this video just brings back so many memories for me. Time flies by so fast. I know this video is a year old, but congratulations and I hope the parents life is treating you guys well! 🙏💕
You were great! So calm. I've had both hospital and planned homebirth. I HIGHLY suggest trying at home if its legal in your state. It was awesome, plus no car ride (ugh, the worst)..

Wow, you did great staying in your zone for all those hours, using your breath and movement to bring your baby down gently! What a strong mama! I'm almost 35 weeks and this video was a really joyous unmedicated hospital birth that I can aspire to. Thank you for sharing :) Also, your little boy is divine (I'm having a boy too!) - congratulations on becoming a mum.
Amazing job momma! My first was born pushing on my back with my first and he got stuck and swallowed fluid, then learned that's like hardest way to get baby out. I went from hours of pushing to barely pushing with my other two and delivered them on all fours!
I'm 39 weeks 4days today and thinking tomorrow may be the day for me! You were soooo calm and quiet. I had a home birth with my first baby and definitely was not very quiet! Lol But my 2nd baby girl was easier and I was able to work through those contractions much better until I got an epidural; ) Congratulations! I also just found you on Instagram :)
Just watching some sweet birth vlogs while waiting for baby #5 arrive then I’m TRIPPING when I hear your Dr.’s voice. Wait. 😳 That’s my OB, Dr. Friedlander 😂 I guess I missed the sign when you drove into Castle! She delivered our first in a very similar way. I was exhausted but she took her time a used boatloads of oil. Now our labors are so fast and easy we just hope the duration is long enough for us to make it across the island and arrive before delivery. No more visit to triage for us. 😅 Thanks for sharing your story, it brought back lots of memories!
I'm sure you were going through Soo much pain but you made it through being so calmmmm. That's giving me a lot of hope! So happy for you and baby! Im trying to prepare myself for an unmedicated birth and watching everyone's experience here on TH-cam gives me a lot of hope!
Que emocionante!! Muchas felicidades para la familia, la verdad eres una campeona 💪🏼 a pesar de estar exhausta no te rendiste 🙏🏼 Dios los bendiga mucho. Desde Puerto Rico 🇵🇷💖
Wow! I’m so terrified to give birth so this was encouraging to watch. Especially as a first time mom. Some videos I’ve seen are kinda traumatizing and make me more afraid but this was powerful ❤
If you ever have another baby, I highly suggest laboring down!! It saves extremely on the push time! My forst I pushed for an hour and 40 minutes, my 4th I pushed for 2 minutes!
My first pregnancy was rough. I was having awful contractions very, very close together. My labor was so sharp and intense I just wanted to roll over and die. I had absolutely nobody there with me but the nurses. I had to go through that all by myself as the nurses were saying I was over reacting and yelling at me to shut up. 😖 I’m now 7 months pregnant and I’m praying that it won’t be so difficult. 😞🫤 prayers please!!
I'm 11 weeks 6 days. I'm showing I'm like my body is creating life and doing this! I'm thinking just wow the woman's body is insane incredible!!!! ❤❤❤❤

Congratulations, momma!! I am so curious - why did the doctor have you wait in the middle of pushing for so long? Like what was happening where you just paused on pushing? From like the 10:39 mark to 11:55?
he is the most precious and gorgeous baby i have ever seen & I have seen so many birth vlogs. and i can see why from his mom & dad 🥰 congratulations beautiful!!

Once you learn to work with it you can do it ❤️ good luck mama either way you’ll do great ❤️
I’d highly suggest researching the cascade of intervention, if you haven’t!
Wow! That is such a compliment! Thank you so much. You can do anything you set your mind to!
Hire a doula and have access to a labor tub
So how was the birth? Did you go natural?
@@B-ch6uk I got an epidural and had to have an emergency c-section 🥹 my baby is here happy and healthy right with mama 💕💕💕
I love the moms excitement! so beautiful her joy of being a mother❤
Wow I'm so impressed! First time mom with no pain meds and not 1 time did u even make a noise! I can not believe how amazing u did. I scream like a psycho! Lol your amazing hun. And u had a wonderful supporting husband which helps so much! He's definitely in need of an award! Good job both of u
Aw! Thank you so much. I was trying my hardest to stay in my zone. Haha. My husband and birth team helped me so much! But everyone labors totally different! Nothing wrong with screaming girl!!
Shows how a mother's instinct is stronger and more powerful than doctors and nurses "knowledge"
I can’t stand hospitals! Imagine if they would actually gone home. I’m so happy to see you stayed and had a speedy Labor. ❤️
She never made a sound till the end and even that wasn’t much. What a warrior.
I’m expecting my little girl in October too!
@@Theplanettd87 Oh yey! Congratulations 🥳
How did it go? Did you end up going unmedicated?
So happy I stumbled on this! Your delivery doc is my OB! I’m three weeks from my due date and this gave me so much comfort. Thank you 💕🌺
Holy crap you are extremely tough. Not a peep. That’s freakin amazing! Congrats mom and dad!
I know. I thought they muted that part or something. She sure was amazing.
This is the first birth video I’ve ever watched and I was sobbing!! Congratulations mama and you did so amazing 😍 little guy is adorable!!
Let us know how it goes!!!! You can do this!!!!
@@rachelteter377 I will! Thank you!! 45 days left ☺️☺️
Have given birth unmedicated 5 times
Water, tub but warm shower helps, counter pressure on hips or back, being free to stand, sway, bounce on birthball or rock. Not pushing on back
Side lying can help. Not pushing with all your might
Slower gentle pushes
But the women who have epidurals are usually the first to complain about how painful childbirth is🙄
I pray I'm able to be this calm and strong when my time comes in a couple months!!
So in the zone. This was an honor to watch. You and Jake are the very best team. You are my real life hero💕 I just want to be like you!
I'm crying. THANK YOU CAMILLE!
Wow I’m so impressed. I don’t understand how you handled all that pain without battling an eye ! Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy!
Oh I definitely batted an eye! ;) but thank you so much! You're so so sweet!
Omg! This was just perfect from the start to the end🙏😍 im in my week 32 almost 33, and I am crying 😂🤰😭 big congrats you guys ❤️🙏 so adorable, and Nice work mamma 💪🏼
Dad was amazing on your side🙏
I'm glad I'm not the only one crying! Haha. Congrats on your pregnancy! I wish you a healthy and safe rest of your pregnancy, along with a healthy delivery! You got this!!
Seriously dad was sooo supportive and mom so strong 😭😭💗💗
I had both of my kids unmediated and I tell you I wouldn’t change it for the world! You go girl
I'm crying! Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm 34 weeks with my first pregnancy and also hoping for an unmedicated birth. This was exceptional to witness. Thank you so much for sharing.
Well I was balling like a baby through this! Soooo beautiful and I pray I can be as strong as you as I approach a hopefully unmedicated birth! 💕❤️🥰
You did this like a champ!!!! So calm and so in control! You did great!!!
Congrats
Do u had retroflexed uterus? ( uterus and cervix which angled or tilted backwards compared to vaginal canal)
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! CONGRATULATIONS! 💙 I'm due May 23rd and you have definitely encouraged me!
Im May 20!

This gave me anxiety! All the hoops with the hospital! But congrats, you guys
But you did a BEAUTIFUL job! Congrats!
Yep, I had my first in the hospital and we're doing a home birth with this next one! 🙌🏼
You are an absolute superstar! I have so much respect for women who have unmedicated births. Phenomenal job mama! ❤
You’re one of the few that didn’t scream terror and give me motivation that i can do it
such a beautiful video I was bawling at the end and I felt my son kicking during your baby's first cry (I'm 22 weeks due Nov) thank you so much for sharing such a raw beautiful experience
Wow, you did great staying in your zone for all those hours, using your breath and movement to bring your baby down gently! What a strong mama! I'm almost 35 weeks and this video was a really joyous unmedicated hospital birth that I can aspire to. Thank you for sharing :)
Also, your little boy is divine (I'm having a boy too!) - congratulations on becoming a mum.
THANK YOU! Aw you are so so sweet. Congrats on your little one. I hope you have the birth of your dreams! You got this sis!
I love 💗 watching birth vlogs and husbands being their birth panthers for their wives
What a beautiful little one, and I can't believe you did that unmedicated, WOW. Also, your partner seems awesome.
Amazing job momma! My first was born pushing on my back with my first and he got stuck and swallowed fluid, then learned that's like hardest way to get baby out. I went from hours of pushing to barely pushing with my other two and delivered them on all fours!
Ah! I have heard this! I would have tried to labor in another position, but man I was too exhausted at that point to try. Hopefully next time!
@@BrookeElieson I can imagine how tired you were! Another more gravity-friendly position if you are very tired is lying on your side! :)
How did you deliver the other two please?😀
@@BrookeElieson same! I tried on all fours. Due any day with my second now so we will see what works this time!
You did so good 😊
The feeling of doing it by just listening to your body without pain relief is so empowering. I did it 4 times 💪🏻
This made me cry, such a beautiful birth. Good job mama! You are giving me the confidence to do an unmedicated birth!
same!!!
I'm 39 weeks 4days today and thinking tomorrow may be the day for me! You were soooo calm and quiet. I had a home birth with my first baby and definitely was not very quiet! Lol But my 2nd baby girl was easier and I was able to work through those contractions much better until I got an epidural; )
Congratulations! I also just found you on Instagram :)
So beautiful! Good job mama, you are inspiring! He is so beautiful too. I have my son in 9 weeks or less and I can’t wait now.
You should be proud of such a video and such a sign of a woman comes from a good family, well done❤❤
I'm sure you were going through Soo much pain but you made it through being so calmmmm. That's giving me a lot of hope! So happy for you and baby! Im trying to prepare myself for an unmedicated birth and watching everyone's experience here on TH-cam gives me a lot of hope!
He is literally the cutest newborn baby ever !!! 😭😍 Great job mama!! & dad was such a great help❤️
I know this baby was born a while ago, but I just have to say, he is ADORABLE... God bless your little family🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

Que emocionante!! Muchas felicidades para la familia, la verdad eres una campeona 💪🏼 a pesar de estar exhausta no te rendiste 🙏🏼 Dios los bendiga mucho. Desde Puerto Rico 🇵🇷💖
What an incredible woman you are. No screening or carrying on. Just very focused and in control. Congratulations
Wow! You were so quiet and seemed to be at peace with it! I hope when I go into labor I can be just like that.
I was about to say the same thing wow she’s so strong ❤
This was the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen. You did such an amazing job Mom ❤️
Good luck this time around! It can be better!
Are you serious? This makes me so sad and upset you had this experience!! Where do you live if you don’t mind me asking?
I hope you had a better experience this time ❤

That’s so great. My mom was the same and I hope I have the same genes! 😅
Congratulations, momma!!
I am so curious - why did the doctor have you wait in the middle of pushing for so long? Like what was happening where you just paused on pushing? From like the 10:39 mark to 11:55?
So beautiful I’m pregnant with my second boy💖 and I felt that ring of fire again when u said it🥲
This video is absolutely incredible, I’m due in may and it gives me courage that I can do this 🤍
he is the most precious and gorgeous baby i have ever seen & I have seen so many birth vlogs. and i can see why from his mom & dad 🥰 congratulations beautiful!!
Congratulations so proud of you. I had my 2 children all natural, best experience ever. I would dilate from a 5 to a 10 in 15 minutes, so thankful It went that fast. Great job!
omg! Do you think anything helped it go this quickly? Any tips to share? Thats amazing!
@@Fashionseesta my Dr wouldn’t break my water until I was ready to deliver. He said breaking the water slows the dilating process.
Congratulations, beautiful little baby, I also had my 3 children unmedicated and pushed them out while on my back, a lot of pushing but i think standing would have been quicker.
