I saw Albert with this band in December 1989 in NYC. He had that same Walnut Flying V - the one Dan Erlewine built. I'm so glad I saw that show. I was in the parking lot of a Kohl's near my college when a DJ on a jazz station announced he'd passed away. Rest in peace, Albert.

They were both there for a reason.. Great Rhythm/Lead player....but Albert was the star and He only played what he played gotta appreciate his minimalist approach he could have adapted or did more he said nah I’ll play my tuning my Flying V My way......like he once said there are a while lot of guitar ayers they don’t focus on soul they jus play fast no emotion some got both (SRV) I understand what your saying but I will forever defend the King
