Hung throttle. Even with failed brakes there's a few things you can do to help slow the car down. There's nothing you can do to slow down a hung throttle.
Depends but normally a hung throttle but I'm goin of the speculation that the gears are built the same way that a dirt car is where if you let go like most vehicles are they have auto braking to slow the vehicle down.

I've been to several tracks. At Pocono during mass exodus, on my line the guy directing traffic would dance- really well I might add- as he would hold the line & then step aside & 'sweep' his arms to let us go. Didn't mind sitting in traffic & no other track personell has ever done that.
The funny thing is in 2017 Jimmie was my favorite driver still racing and McMurray was my second favorite still racing so when I saw that I was not happy

This is the wreck that caused the down turn in your career. You got seriously hurt and I believe you didn’t realize that you received a brain injury. Check all your stats before this crash and then after. You haven’t been the same. Your greatest driver of all time, but this crash hurt you bad.
