Indeed it is, our team really liked the software but some of our artist are not very familiar with Photoshop, so it was kind of limiting. But we can safely say that we loved everything else!
no you can use other drawing software. I use affinity Designer. but you can also use photophea or krita i you want to use free software.no problem. my character are build with png files

Is it compatible with Apple computers with Silicon Chip processors (e.g. 16” MacBook Pro)? I have version 3 of this software and it always crashes on me! Plus, the tutorials don’t seem to be the greatest for novice users. I’ve been fighting this program to animate a crocodile photo, created in layers (head, tail, claws, jaws), with a transparent background. After completing bone rigging, version 3 of the program crashes and all my work is lost.
@thefugglys Thanks. I have PCs, but I'll probably look for a different solution. There's an old iPad app called Plastic, which allows you to create simple bone-rigged models.
this software is good, but now in 2023, i looking for something more "procedural ". if we can render the result to json file instead it will be really amazing for us the programmer. the rigging process is based on actual logic
Warning: I am a 2D frame by frame animator. I do not know of the discipline of rigged animation. That said, My guess would be to place 2 keyframes and tween the puppet with a graph that eases in and out for most motions? I don't really know. Again, I'm a 2d frame by frame animator, not a puppet rigged animator or a tweener.

They have abandoned development for Macs, and going forward CTA 5 is for PCs only.

What's with the "Beware"?😒, Once you render at 30fps take it to a video editor, make it into image sequence and then you'll set your fps.
