I would have drafted a bit differently from Trump.
As a Warlock, I think minions that draw cards lose their value. I can already draw cards whenever I have 2 extra mana. For the most part, all that matters as Warlock is to be ahead on board, so drafting these minions with bad stats is no good. I try to avoid Gnomish Inventor, Gnomish Experimenter, Cult Master, and Azure Drake, all cards I often take highly with other classes (the experimenter only if I have a really high number of spells/weapons). Note that I will still take them if the other picks aren't spectacular.
I don't think Pit Lord is a good card. Paying 5 life for +1/+1 is not a good deal, especially when you consider that 5 life could have been spent drawing 2.5 cards.
Trump gave mad disrespect to Rifleman during the draft, but it turned out to help him several times during the run. As a class that can't deal 1 damage, Rifleman is a good card, and I think it's better than Elven Archer because the 2/2 body never dies to just hero abilities. I don't go out of my way to pick it, but I'm never unhappy to take one, as it usually helps a lot by popping divine shields or finishing off minions.
I also think Power Overwhelming is one of Warlock's best cards, and I think this because without the card it can be painfully difficult to deal with Boulderfist Ogre, Stormwind Champion, or whatever huge dude. 1 for 2'ing yourself is fine because you're a warlock and you can probably gain a huge tempo advantage with the remaining mana of that turn. (I've also had a lot of fun with Power Overwhelming a guy, killing one of their guys, and then playing Wailing Soul to keep your powered minion)
Finally, I sometimes pick Nerubian Egg even with very few buffs. It serves as anti aoe, which is exactly what you want in a lot of matches against good ol' Mage and Paladin. Especially when against a 1 mana 2/1 and a 1 mana 1/2, it's the pick for me.

Tapping cards can be a huge tempo loss so in that perspective azure drake is a fine pick. If you draft spells azure drake can give huge value. A 4/4 body is also quite effective in most situations. I think it's a common misconception that card draw mechanics are unnecessary for warlock, because you don't want to lose too much health since you're probably going to play flame imps and just generally want to save health.
Yeah, Pit lord sucks unless you get voidcallers.
Rifleman is usually terrible no matter what class you play because almost every other 3 drop is better. If you use it to pop divine shields you're still receiving bad value and tempo loss unless you're already ahead in which case it doesn't really matter. The 2/2 body will usually never trade favorably.
Power Overwhelming is great, I agree.
Nerubian egg isn't that great if you can't activate it because there will be a lot of moments when it never activates or activates too late. If you get it in your starting hand it will slow you down alot.

Playing card draw minions is in itself a tempo loss because they have bad stats. You're only life tapping when you have extra mana, so you're not hindering yourself by doing it. And yes, you'll be playing Flame Imps and losing health, but that doesn't matter. You life tap until you're just out of range of getting bursted down, and then you play Antique Healbot and then you can life tap another 4 times :P. Azure Drake can be good for the spell damage, sure, and that makes him better, so maybe I'll pick it more if I had Shadow Bolts or Dark Bombs.
Why don't you consider the alternative when you don't have Rifleman and the opponent plays Scarlet Crusader/Sun Walker/Force Tank MAX. Unless you have silence or lethal, something is going to have to pop the bubble, and will often die doing it. It's either trade your 'bad' minion's battlecry, or trade an actual minion. One is bounds better than the other. It is the exact same when the opponent say, rams a Yeti into your Dark Iron Dwarf. You're going to have to trade an actual minion or spell for the 4/1 if you don't have Archer/Rifleman. This is also why Dread Infernal is such an amazing card. You can use its battlecry to do what Rifleman does. But sometimes you don't get Dread Infernal, sometimes you get Rifleman, and that's fine by me.
Sure, Egg can slow you down if you draw it in your starting hand, but that's identical to drawing some other late game card early, and that doesn't make the late game cards worse picks, so big deal. If you play arena, I know for certain you've had those turns where you're ahead of a Mage, and you can play anything you'd like in your hand, but you are afraid to play things because of Flamestrike, so you don't play anything at all. Egg is a solution. If you have one on board, then you can be far less scared of FS because even if it happens you'll still have a 4/4 afterward. This is also true for Consecration and Holy Nova. This strategy is obviously terrible against classes that rarely have AoE (Warrior, Rogue, Shaman) so I don't take egg if I have zero activators whatsoever. Against those classes, I have no choice but to wait till I draw an activator, so yes, that is a weakness to my strategy, but luckily for me, arena is infested with Mage/Paladin, so I don't get punished for it that often.
i think you can compare pit lord to chow, the 5 health doesnt matter in this game health is just a resource to use to gain cards (if you are a warlock) therefore i think its a good card and perfectly viable. also if you run voidcaller it even better

There's a huge difference between the two cards. A turn 1 2/3 is huge and really powerful. A turn 4 5/6 is really good, but by turn 4, the opponent is quite capable of dealing with it in a non-painful way (first cards that come to mind are Fireball and Sap, or a 3/2 plus a weapon).
Giving your opponent 5 hp extends the length of the game. Taking 5 hp from yourself shortens the game. As Warlock, unless you are a yolo all in zoo thing, it's preferable for the game to go long because then you can life tap more. Normally taking damage doesn't matter in arena, but it does if you are Warlock, because as I said earlier, you deny yourself 2.5 card draws, which is a lot.
Plus, if the game didn't go well and you took a lot of damage, you may not even be able to play Pit Lord without risk of dying to burst, while you can play Zombie Chow whenever you like.
As a Warlock, one of your weakest match-ups are Mage and Hunter, and one of the big reasons is that both classes burst you down and steal wins from you. Helping them out by dealing 5 damage to yourself? No thanks. After GvG, I finally got twelve wins with Warlock (3 times, actually), and every time I had an Antique Healbot and the card saved me multiple times from dying to burst. It really is a big deal, man.
I think they should give the pit lord battlecry of taking 5 damage to the hero to be instead a death rattle, but then again blizzard never buff card and when they do (unleash the hounds) negative implications usually happen, I'm looking at you princess of elune and ironforge rifleman who are extremely overpriced for their mana value
Also their is a idea of those cards just being filler when the correct deck to use them comes into play, like maybe you need core hound+charge in your deck! or the new expansions revitalize and make the objectively and subjectively weaker cards stronger

John Rabin Wisp is a 0 cost 1/1, so it is great if you want to shove a free 1/1 into your deck, but yeah...it is still not great.

In my opinion Death Lord is a top tier card in arena just because people generally take early game cards and the lategame mostly consists out of minions with battlecry or minions that you want to have control over the moment that you play them.
It's not worth it, generally. If you get a 2/3 or 3/2, the Death Lord is balanced. If you get anything bigger, which every deck runs, then it's very, very NOT worth it.

The Creator What you are missing is that deathlord will most of the times take 2-3 cards for your opponent to clear if played turn 3. (Unless cobra of course)
The chance is still higher to get a low drop or a minion with a good battlecry unless your opponent has more big cards than small cards.
That, however, is what makes him risky.
I have been thinking for the past 5 years of my TH-cam carreer and I still am: why do people feel the need to say 'first'. 100 videos per minute are uploaded to TH-cam, it isn't impressive to be the first.

It's also weird how it's in phases. I noticed it LOADS two years ago, then it died down, now it's all "FIRST LOL HAHA XD XD LOLOLLOLOL" again.

On another note, perhaps the card you get from shredders deathrattle has a battlecry and you want to brew that :)
Would hunter even more op with a quarter master form that gives all beasts +2 with health and atk... just a thought

they kind of do with jaguar for mech decks, and timber wolf kind of. And hunter would become more control oriented with that since beast decks are not all that common they use alot of non beast cards, and that card would be more expensive than quartermaster, since beast are better in every case than a guy

Why are the videos so short? Arena videos used to be way longer, and such short videos would only be used on a bad or absolutely disastrous arena run...

am i the only one that really dont like the way trump picked at moments.. he could have egg+terror+power overwhelm+hellfire rather than deathlord,zombie chow,young priestess and puddlestomper.. i mean i can agree with chow/hellfire kinda but everything else looks worse to me
