Great video, thanks! I was just at Taize recently--you captured a nice cross-section, and the last testimony was great--about summed it up.

I’ve been there in 1997 and loved the community. It is a wonderful experience to open our hearts and enjoy the feeling of unity, love & faith. It didn’t matter what shape, color, race your are… we were all just one. People from all over the world. Thank you for sharing this video.

On my...i stayed as a volunteer over 30 years ago and it looked the same! I miss it so much. A Father Paolo offered spirirual council at a very fragile time of my life and I was able to return home train as a teacher and use that pain to help vulnerable children ..... if you get a chance please go.... it will transform your life.

Hong Kong attendees are applying this chanting instrument in singing SIng Hallelujahs to Lord in peaceful, non violent protest demonstrations against PRC's imposing an Extradition Act to oppress the Hong Kongers. Remember Hong Kong in your Taize chants! AMDG. MAGIS. 18 June 2019

MEDUGORJE Mladi-Fest is better and best Heaven on the earth, like Taizé. But Taizé is also blessed, more for ekumenismus. MEDUGORJE is the best of best what i visit for last couple years from holy places and holy pilgrimages.

Oh my Goodness!!! All is one, Love is all. They talk about the gathering of different religions and peace and love, peace and love. I saw a crucifix or two but no one mentioned Jesus. No one at all. neither did the worship songs. Christians beware. This looks like a big hippy commune. The pagans focus on peace and love. WARNING WARNING!!!!

Thank GOD . You see it just as I do. This is not of GOD , mixing the church with heathens and false breathen. Stay away from this ! It is not of GOD. I am glad you see it like me. If you are unsure of salvation please see here , as I don't want you to go to hell. th-cam.com/video/lbb4xwYj19g/w-d-xo.html

this is rubbish. The readings are from the Gospels (so about Jesus) and they proclaim the Resurrection of Jesus every week on Saturdays. Jesus is very central. The thing is they do not try to convince any one but leave that up to the Holy Spirit. Try talking to the Brothers. Jesus is central to their lives.

I don't know what you're talking about. Jesus is definitely discussed in Taizé. If you're saying that christians shouldn't discuss love, I think you haven't read the Bible. There are lots of different worship songs, only a couple were shown on the video. God was mentioned in several of the songs in the video. (The worship songs on the video just weren't in English. Translations are provided in Taizé as well as online, of course.) In Taizé, you attend prayer several times a day as well as sometimes a Bible study. The prayer and discussions were not the main focus of this video, and I think that is a good thing, as you're anyway usually not supposed to be filming during that time. Praying together in Taizé is a very powerful experience. Putting a camera in your face when you're praying is very disturbing.

Also, God, faith, and prayer were mentioned. Don't you think Christ is a part of that?

Have you been there? I love this place because it gives plenty of space and time to step back, reflect and make decisions. It's one of the most accepting and diverse places I know and most people I met that have been to Taizé are among the most open minded I know :) I'm sorry if you've made any bad experiences

I can see why you may fear this but let me point out some of its none cult like features. There is no pressure to visit (1) No pressure to stay (2) and the cost is minimal (3) as the visitors work there to keep those costs down.
Taize was started by a simple Godly monk called Friar Roger, as a place of sanctuary for the oppressed during WW2 .During that time he sheltered many oppressed non christians despite the obvious risks he faced (4). He build Taize on the Christian foundations of reconciliation simplicity and love and actived lived that message in his work..(5) He refused all donations and instead his band of monks became self sufficient by hard work(6)...After WW2 he welcomed in those oppressors too and in gratitude their nation build the church of Reconciliation which today remains a powerful symbol of Christian reconciliation and community.
I hope that reassures you? .I stayed there over as a volunteer over 30 years ago now and can honestly say it was life changing. ...
