@@shankarkandasamy5163 May the blessings of Sri Andavan Pichai be upon you. Thank you for being a staunch supporter, however some corrections need to be made. My mother, Smt. Kamakshi Kuppuswamy (Andavan Pichai's daughter) composed this varnam for her Sambandi Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan at her request. My grandmother never penned any varnams, nor did she compose music for any. For this particular varnam, my mother took the first 2 lines of her mother's devotional hymn and then composed the rest, along with the chitta swaram and the swara korvais and sahityam in Ragam Latangi. Smt. Sujata Vijayaraghavan interviewed Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan, Smt. Kamakshi Kuppuswamy and Smt. Savithri Jaganatha Rao at the release of this varnam where all these details were brought out. My mother has also composed 5 other varnams and padavarnams for her grand-daughter Preeti Vinayak (Andavan Pichai's great grand-daughter) in Ragam Vachaspati, Ramapriya, Sankarabharanam, Kalyani and Simhendra Madhyamam. Preeti Vinayak holds the copy right for all the varnams, including Nee Manamirangi. Her request to give credit to Smt. Kamashi Kuppuswamy is a legitimate one. Sri Andavan Pichai gave copyright authority to her daughter, Kamakshi and me for all her kritis and compositions. Kamakshi has taught over 250 songs of her mother's compositions to the Andavan Pichai Bhajan Mandali, and the same has been brought out, along with her biography by me in 2016, available in Karnatik Music House, Royapettah, Chennai.
