    Another great video. Your information is priceless and it's great that you share it with us. Whenever I have a friend interested in getting into stocks, I always give them your name and tell them to spend a month or two watching your videos and study as much as they can before they do anything. Thank you for all the information. You're awesome.

    @ 8:22 What if the monthly and weekly lines up without the daily lining up...? As a swing trader, would the bad Daily chart matter?

    10:01 Are you saying if your time horizon is 1 year, then check if days, weeks and months line up?

    • @Rayquesto
      @Rayquesto 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah. I see. But my implicit point was basically that it is possible that long term( monthly or yearly) the stocks are not in my favor or not doing well, but a short term investor is looking to fish a profit out of that. Is that a bad investment based on the longer time frames or generally are the short time frames independent of the long time frames (ie the long time frame patterns are not going to say anything about the shorter time frame patterns)? Thats why I asked about if such an approach you said in the video works ONLY for long term such that you reference a shorter time frame than what you intend to invest in (time horizon of the stock).

    • @Rayquesto
      @Rayquesto 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess I wouldn't trust using that trend then for certainty in short term gains.

    Great video thank you! I just finished reading your book "Start Trading Stocks", learned a lot from it. Im going to start reading the one about swing trading soon. I still have never made a trade yet, one day I will, but I've been analyzing the market everyday using your advice. On top of that, I am actually writing down my predictions of certain stocks, short term and longterm. I've been pretty spot on. Thanks for the help!

    Great video Sasha! I'm always looking for stocks that have a strong monthly/weekly trend (up or down) and have crazy daily moves against these established trends. Would be good to know an efficient way of searching for these. Thanks for the lesson.

    Thanks a lot for sharing this, it's one of the best videos explaining the time frames. After you find a trade to get in, you choose a timeframe to trade on and stick to that one? Looking at 4 hr only if your trading that timeframe or 1 hr etc....I mean if you find a setup on the 1 hr chart and get into the trade then dont follow the trade on any chart except the 1 hr?

  • @ladythurston
    @ladythurston 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    question... I am practicing on swing trading 1 to 4 day holds I understand the importance of using the time frames but what will that do say to your support and resistance lines would you have to move them to support your claim on buying or shorting the stock I have read the the time frame you usually like to gain profits which fir me I like the 9 month daily on finviz but how to put this into my stocking picking strategy is throwing me off sorry for the long post.

    • @ladythurston
      @ladythurston 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      one more question when you say aliment do you mean the overall tend or the support and resistance areas

      @@supasurreal He tried his best though! But you can see it still didn't catch everything. For example, when he draws price action. It's to our left, and it should be to the right. Still a great video though! lol

  • @gnosis7662
    @gnosis7662 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video! Just to add, even when everything lines up, if a company releases some bad news about earnings etc the stock can dive like a Stuka and all the previous patters go out the door! Checking the latest news before buying stock is also very important, in addition to the pattern history.

    An other great video. Thank you Sasha. I have a question regarding what you said: If a stock has been going up (or down) for months, isn't there a higher chance of it reversing direction? Do you have any advice on how to spot stock that are at the end of a down or up trend?

    Love your videos, love your work. This was a very informative lesson, it makes good trading sense. I've been trading for about 18months now and haven't sold my tanked shares but am down 50% of my capital from not taking profits and/or utilising stop losses.
    Coming up to 1st quarter reporting time soon, what's your opinion on trading around financial report release dates?

    • @Gekkuta
      @Gekkuta 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the share price is heading up a week or so before, with gains of 10% or more after tanking hard previously, one would assume the results would be positive...Such a tricky game..I will check out that other video you mentioned, thanks...

    Cool video..I have been trading on the 5min and 1 min. in and out...as you say its a bit on the high of stress.. So I am going to start trading on the higher times frames...When you say all 3 need to be good....Is it the trend all going the same way?
    And what is the best indicators for hight time frames? Thanks again for your support..TreV

    • @trevbeats77
      @trevbeats77 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok so try and get 3 or more time frames in the right direction then act. This is tricky to find at times Sasha as you hunt for them? One other thing: I have just discovered the SAR and watch a vid saying use it on the 4 hour time frame? I am trying them or times? thoughts mate. Thanks so much for your help and support. TreV

    Most people won't absorb the information you present in the manner you intended without charts as examples. Many MTF videos talk the theory behind MTF analysis but fail to show the practical application of it in use. Like the premise, but thumbs down for the reason mentioned in this comment.
