I love how serious the Battle Droid is in this scene. It's kinda weird how it seems saddened by the loss of life, but how stone cold it is while talking to Master Ropal actually made it seem a little....menacing. A B1 being menacing? What has the world come to!
Should've been like that the whole series instead of turning the villains into a joke. Would've made for a much better watch, though I reckon the target audience wouldn't have been pleased.

The fact that the droid was able to actually know what to use to torture the jedi with definitely makes it the most competent. It was even telling the magnaguard what to do! That B1 is the Boss.
This was extremely dark for a clone wars episode, it really shows how heartless Bane is. Even the B1 knew when to stop, and even warned Bane. He even seemed sad when Bolla died. It’s weird seeing how even B1’s care about their enemies.

What an absolutely sad, horrible and humiliating way to go. Even though we don’t know him at all really I can’t help but feel terrible for him. Since he was a Jedi the chances are he was a really nice person, too good for such a fate. Even Ashoka was saddened upon discovering his body. At least they didn’t leave him behind(I don’t think they did at least). This B-1 was unlike the majority of his brethren. He was calm, not whiny and sounded fairly sympathetic to the Jedi. He must’ve had some experience with medicine, possibly for more sinister uses but I like to think he was a droid medic. Honestly he sounded sad doing this. :-( Also did the magnaguard disappear in this episode? I don’t recall seeing him at all for the rest of it. Honestly this whole operation is one HUGE investment to one bounty hunter! This all really goes to show how horrible Cad Bane can be. Bolla Ropal was actually a creche-mate of Obi-Wan's and grew up alongside him. He was a nice guy with an affinity for pranks and also an expert on holocrons, which makes his murder especially vile and tragic.

The level of intelligence present in that battle droid has me convinced it was an old OOM model, not a B1. No B1 could reliably tell a IG-100 what to do.
Perhaps even worse, since a rare few did atleast see the clones as humans. Droids, no one and I mean no one batted an eye to having them sent into a hopeless meat grinder, no sympathy or consideration. Given that by the end of the war, the droids had nearly uniformly developed sapience comparable with that of a child or a simple person, that is horrific. Truly the whole clone wars was a battle between armies of slaves fighting on behalf of uncaring masters who sought to sure up their own power.

He meant by the fact they weren't afraid to depict actual fights. Not just throw faceless storm-troopers and non-characters at them in hordes to advance the story. Simply put, Rebels is too "PG" and TCW was better BECAUSE it had a mix of PG, and violence in a perfect balance.

B1s probably have some of the most emotion out of any of the droids on the side of CIS. I bet that droid in particular has seen a lot of messed up stuff and kind of became more stoic/sad compared to the other B1s.
Yeah, most of these battle droids are used to quick killing and aren't programmed for interrogation and torture. Combined with their autonomous thinking.. My best guess is that they recognized that was a bad way to go for anyone.
I feel like in all of Star Wars this is the only dark scene that was too much to put into screen and it makes the Jedi sound more fucked up for operating the way they do

I’ll never understand Bane’s mindset. Seems like a mindless killer to me. Need that thing opened? Sure, just be intimidating and literally kill the only being capable of opening it in the immediate area. Bane has always been the most annoying of the bounty hunters to me.
Cad Bane's the type of guy to always have a back-up plan. He's incredibly intelligent, so in his mind, a dead Jedi just means "I'll get another one and try a different method" as he says here. Which he ends up ironically doing by using Anakin's attachment to Ahsoka.

Bane has always been the most annoying of the bounty hunters to me.
That is exactly why he’s such a great character. He is the exact opposite of everything the heroes stand for.
Cad Bane's the type of guy to always have a back-up plan. He's incredibly intelligent, so in his mind, a dead Jedi just means "I'll get another one and try a different method" as he says here. Which he ends up ironically doing by using Anakin's attachment to Ahsoka.
