I sell patterns too and it's a great source of passive income if your patterns get popular :) and when it's just a few sales here and there, for people who don't do this as a business but just for fun, it's nice to have a few extra dollars.
In regards to making and selling patterns, how do you know you are creating original patterns? My biggest fear is that there are so many patterns for the same thing (ie the tiktok bees) how can I be sure someone hasnt already created the same pattern, and at what point are the patterns too similar to sell?
I have loved going through and watching all your videos! Are you a full-time creator? I’ve been burnt out lately with my full time job and have been thinking about trying to go full time! I’m looking to start my own TH-cam channel for crochet and was hoping to get some insight.
I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying my videos!! I do crochet full-time but I don’t make enough from just TH-cam and online in general to be necessarily a full time content creator however with everything online combined it definitely adds up to be my biggest income source! ❤️
Do you sell a lot on etsy? I have heard if you use a etsy link I will get 40 free listing and the etsy seller who shared their code will also get 40 free listing. Do you know how this works? I want to start my etsy shop but want to help credit someone I follow that I is helpful to me in learning how to establish my new crochet business and someone who shares my same values (teamwork makes the dream work)
Thanks for the information on passive income. Do you have a video on how to pick good craft show to sell? What are some of the red flags to look out for before signing up to do a craft show? I’m on disability and right now the only thing I can do is sit and crochet. I have done lots of baby blankets, throws for the crouches, I’m now into plushies. And how do you decide on pricing out your items. Thanks💙
Of course! I don’t have a video on that but I think that would be a great topic for me to make one on! Thank you for the idea!! I would definitely say the best thing you can do is go to the market before you sign up to decide if the fee they charge is reasonable for the amount of traffic they have! If it’s a market that only happens once a year or so you can also just ask the event coordinators about the traffic they anticipate having! I also have a full video on how I price my items! You can watch that here: th-cam.com/video/Gx0fVtr1mHc/w-d-xo.html ❤️
I would say if you like the idea of making videos/ have a passion for making videos then yes! But if not definitely don’t get into it just for the money, as it takes a lot of time and effort to make money
@@katiebeingcreative I can totally understand that! That’s why I think I will wait until I feel like it is the right time to do that so it doesn’t feel forced! Thank you dear!❤
Thanks Katie, you have inspired me to try the crochet patterns.
I'm ur biggest fan you give great advice
Aw thank you so much!! I’m glad you think so! ❤️

So do you think it is worth it for new businesses to start a TH-cam account? In order to try to meet the requirements?

What is a good site to start a blog on?
I’ve heard go daddy and square space are good ones but I’ve personally never used them
