The radius of the ball was 9mm. And the final speed was over 200m/s.
So if we assume that the maximum distance that those fragments had to accelerate was that 9 mm and they would have constant force applied to them. These assumptions give the minimum acceleration value since they are both kind of worst case scenarios.
But even with these we get result for acceleration time 9 * 10^-5 seconds and the acceleration itself was about 2.2^10*6 m/s2 or 225 000 g

FullChicken44 He has ads.. 1 million views equals literally to a 1000 bucks. He has also stated in a Finnish television show that he could live on TH-cam revenue alone, but will not do it out of a whim since the channel has been profitable for a few months only.
You can check socialblade stats and take the lowest estimate for ad revenue & then just remove 30-40% of taxes (or your own choice) and you get a VERY conservative estimate of any youtuber's earnings. As a Finn he would be taxed at around 30% at least (30k+/year). Double that and it is around 40%. (which isn't far fetched considering he is working in the shop, but also studying..)
As long as you use a hard enough cutting tool, it really seems like you should be able to just stick the press tool in a lathe and remove the dented part so that you can still use the rest of it.

I did some calculations.
I shooted that slomotion footage 1000 fps, so time between two frames is 1ms.
And in that one frame where the ball breaks sparks have already flown out of picture. I estimated that that distance is about 20cm. So therefore the speed of those fragments is at least 200 m/s :D
Some pretty fast sparks if you ask me :D

I made those myself so they aren't that expensive. That hardened bottom tool is bit expensive because it is one of our products that we make and I could sell that to our customer but I decided that I have other use for it :D

Came down to suggest this, I want to see the "bearing ball" explode with a Phantom Flex
that would be cool, but these two channels are based in different countries and the people involved also have their own schedules.
It would be too difficult and expensive to get these custom pressing tools to USA. But maybe the Slow Mo Guys should travel to Finland and slow mo destroy lots of Finnish stuff.
