John Deere 6430 plowing snow

- Got a few more inches of snow followed by some rain, made for some sticky snow. The garage I plow out in this video is family owned and not used in the winter so blocking the door with snow is no big deal. I plow the yard out because some logging truck drivers stop there to put on their tire chains before going off road and removing them after getting loaded.

My Wife bought me a Kubota BX sub compact tractor with a 3 point hitch and a front end loader for my retirement gift and I have lots of fun plowing snow and as I have several neighbors much older than me I enjoy plowing out their mailboxes as well. Some try to pay me but I refuse but I can never turn down Grandmas Home made Cookies and Hot Cocoa. Great video and you live in a picturesque area for sure.

Makes me miss my 6430. I loved the way it sounded. And the ivt was so sweet.
unless one or both of my 6430 tractors have a catastrophic breakdown or parts are no longer available I will never get rid of them, luckily I don’t put a ton of hours on them and they are always stored in a heated garage so they should out last me.

the angle cylinders are the only part of the original hydraulics that I used. the lift cylinder is just a regular two way cylinder and the hydraulic lines are run off my loader controls. the push frame is the Fisher minute mount plow but I had to modify the pins to fit the three point hitch along with some extra bracing. the video link shows most of it pretty well if you have other questions I’ll do my best to answer them.

I had the camera on the outside of the windshield, I’m going to try it on the roof next time and see if it records more of the exhaust sound and less background.

where did you get your attachment for snow plow? (none john deere plow)
I have a Laforge front three pint hitch and I just modified the original headgear on a 10 foot Fisher plow, I have a few other videos that show it a little more closely.
More of the road plowing would be nice

nope the river never freezes here it is swift water. just a few miles down river it does freeze but usually needs to be below 0

I don’t have chains for the tractors but I do have chains on the 624 loader all the time.

How many hours on the tractor? I hear some injector lag under heavy load, do you add any oil to the fuel to mitigate it or prolong the time until injector replacement? Drive a JD 1210e daily (12k h) and those injectors are close to inoperable in the cold without 1/2-1% oil in the fuel, still working pretty good in the summer though..
both 6430 tractors have just over 700 hours, they will be getting a full service by John Deere this summer so I will ask about it. I do use a JD additive in my fuel that lubricates the injectors.
I just rewatched that video and are you talking about the beginning of the video where there is a very noticeable change in the engine sound?
