you have really bals of steel to use the Beal Escaper 😮 thanks for the demo. But in this case it doesn’t seam that the risk of using it is necessary. I would rather use another very light rope to pull down the climbing rope.
Seems like most folks have a similar reaction. Once you get hands on it, test it out, you’ll understand how safe it is. It should be stated I have a very low risk tolerance. I have a 5mm tag, which I used quite frequently, but it’s like dental floss and nearly impossible to keep from getting tangled or hung up when pulling (particularly if you block it).
BE is great! But it have some slack (mean device length and hand length) when device is ready, before U load it completely

how did you retrieve the rope?
The Beal Escaper releases the rope after 10 - 20 springy pulls, using the dynamic qualities in the rope to release the Escaper’s friction hitch.
