If earth can build its own stargates, doesn't that imply they can build transport rings as well? If so they could be used to ferry more and larger equipment to orbiting space stations and spacedocks. That could really open the possibility for larger ships/fleets for battles. Exciting prospects.
We have the entirety of the Asgard technology, why would we use such primitive transport such as the ring transporters? Especially when we have beaming transporters from the asgard?
A huge scale. Perhaps with some years of exploration and human advances. Then some sort of cataclysmic thing is discovered. Preserving mere existence itself. Or, armed with the data that came from finally contacting Destiny and Destiny completed its mission, humans know something about the universe that puts everything into question. Who knows. But this can now be of a scale even larger than it was before.
I do honestly believe that Stargate SG1 is one of the most underrated Sci-Fi series ever made. I tuned in every day for more than a decade while Space cycled through the entire series and Atlantis over and over again. When they stopped, and cancelled the show innerspace, I literally stopped watching TV.
Same, with SGU these shows are gold to me. Yet I get very often laughed at at work about it, even though I don't even speak about it since I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. But still, they bring the subject like it's wrong to reaally like SG, when a lot of them reaaally like Star Wars or what'ot
Its gonna be sad watching stargate's name be drug through the mud after this "new show" comes out, it'll be full of leftist politics and leftist ideologs that it'll fail and kill the series, just like star trek and star wars. Stargate will join the used to be great tv shows list.
In 2022 it's about time Amazon brings Stargate BACK!!! Loved all 17 seasons of Stargate versions & will definitely watch no make appointment time for new series. GO STARGATE!!! Love in Sarasota
Hold on... We saw what an utter disaster _Origins_ was. In addition to rampant mediocrity on virtually every platform or channel. Do we really want to see another _Stargate_ show when the odds of it being trashed are so high?
Amazon is such a hit or miss thing. As long as they don't interfere in the making or require the stuff that has ruined so many other franchises would be nice.
Yeah, I hate to say this, but Amazon don't exactly have a lot of good choices when it comes to shows. I used to have a prime account, and back then I remember Amazon having a lot of shit pickings for shows and movies. And I'm just talking about the stuff that was on prime, most of it was just terribly written terribly thought out shows, the kind of crap that you find at the dollar store inside of Ben that nobody touches because they know they were garbage shows to begin with. Almost like Amazon or desperate to find a bunch of shows to put on their streaming service, but they had nobody around to pick good shows to watch, so they just picked random ass shows whether they were good or not didn't matter just so long as they could put them on the website is something to watch on prime, basically call it prime garbage. Hopefully by them purchasing the entire library of mgm, we'll fix this issue.
I love the Stargate franchise, but I can see where Amazon might not be so gung-ho to resurrect it. The failures of the SGC streaming service and "Stargate: Origins" might have done more harm than good in the eyes of the Amazon executives. After all, if a web series on a shoestring budget can't people to watch, what are the chances of a multi-millon dollar. (Remember Sci-Fi and genre fare generally are not cheap to produce.) On top of that, we have no idea of what's going on behind the scenes. Amazon's purchase of MGM could very well be like Warner Bros. Discovery thing, a lot of debt and stuff they have to curve before they can even consider starting anything.
We still have so many cast members alive and well.. Their interest in a stargate project has to be itching the back of their minds and souls... I loved stargate, and I really loved universe despite its cancelation. We need more of it. The adventure isn't over yet..
You didn't watch SGU did you? There was good chemistry, but they had the unfortunate beginning of unfortunate events take place before they could focus on their chemistry.
So you saw the beginning, but you didn't watch it all the way through? Your response says everything I need to know that you didn't actually watch the rest.
@@5226-p1e The fact SGU got the less run time of the 3 series means something. If you enjoyed it, good for you. It had it's moments, but for most fans it's their least favorite show of the franchise.
@@EldeNice That is very true, it started off with a very rough more serious beginning than any of the other shows. I believe because they stayed within that drama of that show, but that inevitably left them to forever be stained, I'm not saying that it was better than SGA or even sg-1, cuz I love sg1 more than any of them, but there were things in sgu that I did love, not everything obviously, I absolutely didn't like the drama, because that was what was keeping the series on a downhill spiral. But I was definitely hoping that they would communicate more about the altaren and how they lived, I was hoping more in the story along the lines of the destiny's mission, but we instead got a ton of conflict and drama between the crew it just kept getting extended throughout the season. I also didn't like the themes of them using certain technology to essentially cheat on their spouse or use someone else's body to commit crimes or whatever, I was used to Stargate being more of a family kind of show, but this version of Stargate was a little bit more adult oriented especially in the beginning pilot where you can see two soldiers essentially having sex in the closet, completely unnecessary and completely uncalled for, we didn't need to have that scene. We also didn't have to have the lesbian relationships, that kind of shit annoys the hell out of me and should have never been added into the show. Like I get there should have been some kind of moral dilemma kind of thing involved in that, but they just went too far in some of those cases. But outside of the obvious issues of why this series struggled, they actually had a pretty good show and it was a very slow burn which made the pacing of the previous shows far better, because in this show it took them far longer to get anywhere. So overall, outside of the obvious issues of this show, it was a good show and had the potential of being much better. They just didn't have enough time because they focused on all the wrong things. Some people believe that they had an overuse on the communication stones, but I believe they could have ended the series using the stones in a completely different way that they never even tried to attempt. but there were a lot of things in this show that they didn't really attempt, when they absolutely could have attempted something.
It's amazing to see how many people are still bound to Stargate. This was posted 5 days ago and it already has almost 200k views, that's insane for a show that I've always considered severely underrated, a classic science fiction gem. The fanbase still exists and this brings me a lot of joy as someone that has grown with Stargate. My only concern is that this 4th series won't be what we all expect and will follow the lackluster, disastrous writing, agenda pushing trend that all these streaming platfroms and hollywood keep pushing. Being produced by the Wright, man himself gives me hope, but what I fear is Amazon not letting him make the show if he doesn't agree to put their corpo and agenda bullshits into his story. I am very cautious about this.
Human-made Gates? Sounds stupid! The youngest Race weve seen do it are the Nox. So i hope the Excuse 'Oh well, its been 20 Years' isnt used, but instead the Nox just helped.
In “1969” when the went to far into the future and met Cassy in the gate room, she had a wrist device that just opened the gate. No latching of the symbols, nothing, it just opened. Is that to far into the future for the new series gate style or are we at that point now?
I assume the standard slow dialing is a way to let the other side know someone is coming and to prepare for a visit. Possibly, it could also allow the stargate to perform several failsafe procedures, which the computers at SGC often bypassed. Opening the gate instantly was always possible, but you had to know how and presumably you had to know that you were creating a safe, stable wormhole.
The Nox could activate the stargate with a single, dramatic wave of their arms, no waiting for symbols in order, no waiting for a whooshing vortex to subside.
Given a decade of time, access to the database on Atlantis, Orlan's gate and all the knowledge Carter and McKay have of Ancient technology and possibly knowledge from former priors about the construction of the super gates It would seem very reasonable that the Tauri would try building their own. If they truly are the 5th race following in the footsteps of the ancients entirely seems obvious just with less accidentally creating enemies like the Wraith. Though with all the things Atlantis expedition were involved with, I can't be confident that humans from earth wont do the same thing. Its only a matter of time before someone perfects replicators again for commercial exploitation.
I find it funny that we were calling them the fifth race to begin with, especially since we are literal breakoffs of the first race of the altaren. We are their second evolution after all.
@@5226-p1e modern humans aren't breakoffs of the Alterans. We evolved independently long after they left the Milky Way, then, upon their last return but before ascension, some of them mated with existing humans during our stone age around 10-12 thousand years ago, thereby providing Col. O'Neill, Col. Sheppard and others with the ATA gene.
What I was dissapointed, was, despite having acces to all Atlantis, guys coudnt press crtl + f in database, and learn how ZPMs are made,... and when they had McCay from alternate Atlantis, despite him mentioning (practicly bragging about it) he managed to Charge thers up(at werry least) nobody asked HOW?
I’d give anything for a new, in-canon, series; And I’m incredibly pessimistic about a remake/reboot 😬 I’d rather have Brad’s show or nothing. With the past treatment of beloved IPs, am I alone?
I gotta think they Solve the Stargate:SGU reunion problem by "First 1st" bringing Destiny back home using the fully powered up Atlantis to power a Supergate in orbit. Then time jump to many years later after they have revived everyone aboard Destiny and they have gone on and scattered around the new Earth Federation / Empire. Some of the cast from SGU will be available, some will not, and they will have all aged. Telling the story about their rescue from the beginning and using the New Atlanteans would unify the three shows and bring all their canon together.. a time jump would spread them back out.. and multiple threads could be explored or ignored in service to new Bigger Bolder stories.
Um I want the books cannon. To much time has passed. Eli is dead or his brain is in destiny's computer. Also God aliens.....and alternative timelines in universe broke episodes of SG1. For example the black hole Central station of the multiverse compared to using the mirror from season 1. Same BS in Atlantis. The raith became be by season 4.
They more than likely do, it's the next progression of our evolution, but also because we still have the blueprints to the Stargate that was created only meant to be used once by Orlin an ascended Alteran.
Are you sure about that? I mean if that's all you need, you might as well just watch Stargate infinity which I have to say is a stupid series and shouldn't have been made.
@@5226-p1e A new show is more important than the gate they choose to use. I don't give a s**t about your opinion concerning Stargate Infinity, which I never watched. My comment was clear to anyone over 6 years old.
At least let us see the original SG-1. And continue with RDA in at least occasionally all of them. Do you now how much we love RDA! He was the show! This was the best Sci-fi show ever created, bar none. Love ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️ it!
I have a fev conditions: I know Richard wont take another lead role in a new show that potentially runs for 3-5 seasons. But you need to put Amanda Tapping in. Michael Shanks. And Christopher Judge. Claudia Black and Ben Bowder, as well as Corin Nemec while awesome additions - for me are optional. The original Team has to be there. And judging from the Disaster thats "Rings of Power"... Id love for Amazon not to be involved. :P
@@Tyrone-Ward They don't really need the original team. They can always go the Atlantis route and start with some members of the original team as cameo, but Atlantis did pretty well on its own. Perhaps maybe cameo from other parts of the Stargate IP.
I would fully expect that (likely General) Carter would be running the program. But we could see Richard making guest appearances. He would have to make some crack about the Simpsons still going. I wouldn't expect the others aside from maybe the occasional cameo episode. It would have a whole new (diverse) team.
I hope a new stargate series will finally show furlings. And also maybe humans can build their own zpms and build ships that have asgard and ancient influences since earth humans have pretty much become the successor of both races.
The Ancients appear to have conquered 'Dark Matter' and Ascension seemed to be essentially 'Transcribing' their lifeforms into that Ethereal substance.. echos of Tolkeins Lord of the Rings Elves hang in there somewhere. The Furlings could have chose to Escape the entire Universe.. perhaps they Solved Destiny's Answer to the Ultimate Question and found a doorway that led 'Outside' the Great Simulation.. not unlike in TRON and the ENCOM Towers communicating with the Outside world. The Asgard chose Obliteration after Relieving themselves of the Burden to look after the younger races by Passing on their gift of knowledge to the Tauri.. who is to say.. all of these things might not lead to bringing them back? Maybe these are only the small opening stories to be written.. exploring mortality, immortality and what all these races should do with their gifts? In the bigger picture.. the Greatest Story has yet to be told.
The nox and the asgard were both able to open the gate quicker than people using dhds. And the Cassandra from the future had a device that also did it.
I think. The Ancients pursued Dark Matter, and that being / creature that plagued Jack on Earth and Rodney on Atlantis "made of dark matter" they saw it as another form of Matter that did not interact with normal Matter, and rather than face death.. transcribed their essence, their mind into that form of matter. The other races, starting with the Furlings.. pursued the question of the Great Simulation.. and found out Reality was a Simulation and that Physical Laws were malleable.. and used that Knowledge to develop Technology based on their own "versions" of Reality (or augmented Physical Laws) they Escalated or built new Laws on top of the old ones.. and that let them advance in directions Unimaginable to all the other races. The Tollan being the closest Siblings to Earth and most recently burned by their lasse faire approach to exploration and sharing knowledge were understandably "Over protective" of Earth.. until their own existence was threatened.
Seriously, I cannot fathom why the Stargate brand is left to rot. Sure, worldwide it may not be as popular as Star Trek and Star Wars, but it is popular enough. For example here in Czechia is AT LEAST as popular as the other Star shows. The SFF (sci-fi & fantasy) is having a renaissance on TV. Several great Star Trek shows, increasing amount of great Star Wars shows, Marvel is allowing more and more SFF themes, ASOIF TV is getting a second show... hell, even LotR/Tolkien is a getting a new, promising show. It makes no sense to sleep on Stargate rights without using it.
So many countries it still plays on TV many times per day. The one place I don’t think it does is the US. :-( I wish we’d get an official reason why they don’t want to green light more stargate.
@@michaelkukula5926 They played out the franchise to death with what, a movie, a reboot pilot movie, 10 years 5 on showtime before moving to a much cheaper budget network for 5 more years, 5 more years of a lower budget spinoff, then 2 more miserable years of another crappy spinoff, 2 conclusion movies, a few years of a web series, and a cartoon... It's safe to say they've done about all they can with the franchise even going so far as to turning it from an adventure series to a star trek clone. They were pushing it with Atlantis and its time for MGM to move on to new original things not just reboots everyone is getting sick of.
If they rebooted it would be too overproduced and sterile most likely unless they did it right. They were able to reproduce a gritty realistic feel with shows like the Mandalorian, but who knows if they would do it right. But yeah, not sure if reboots in general are a great idea.
@@sonofeyeabovealleffoff5462 Yeah... in the movie they went to the edge of the known universe... in the show they didn't go further than a few stars away
And I, need Farscape, Firefly, and Dark Matter. Will those be brought back? The answer is obvious. Stargate has overstayed its welcome by 2 seasons of sg1 and a full series of sgu. Begone.
Definitely NOT a hard reboot. Keep the existing lore, even if it's a soft reboot in the sense of from a totally different perspective. Have someone build their own Stargate, and then get dragged into the SGC fold, but keep it from their perspective and NOT always running out the SGC or being military-based.
@@GeorgeWashingtonLaserMusket No no no... I mean have the show focus more on whomever builds the homemade Stargate, rather than focusing on the SGC (wherever that's ended up after so long since the program became public after Atlantis)
@@TheBigExclusive Because Brad Wright and co weren't involved with Stargate Origins... and it's underwhelming reception proved why that's a bad thing. It tried to do a hard reboot of the franchise, basing off the original movie rather than the decades of lore gained from the multiple TV series that came after the movie... in essence, trying to retcon everything. Thankfully fans wouldn't stand for it, or allowing Emmerich to hard reboot it by remaking the original movie and add sequels to it either.
I would like the new assassins creed to be set at the time of the human rebellion against RA thousands of years ago and ends with the gate being buried. Missions go between villages, deserts, and inside mother ships. You can climb to the top of the outside of the ship for an epic view. At some point halfway thru the game when all hope is gone, you finally get visited by the furlings and they give you your eagle vision and advanced tech to fight back. One of the missions has you accidentally transported thru the egypt gate to the lost antarctica gate. SG lore lends itself to SOO MANNY game franchises like CoD, Xcom, AsCreed, GoW, Fortnite, Arma, Civ, anything.
Human built would be the next logical step, they could use the technology to create their own network or to follow the footsteps of the ancients and go to a local group galaxy and setup their own stargate network. Maybe as well as building their own gate they can build their own version of the DHD so that the dialling is faster more akin to that of the Atlantis control room.
@@DVankeuren exploring worlds that were not seeded by the ancients. remember, plenty of habitable worlds formed after the ancient gate network was established, and plenty of worlds have been destroyed since then. an update/expansion never hurts.

@@loturzelrestaurant so you're going to pretend the Tollan never happened? That Orlins gate isn't in SGC control? Have you even seen the show?
Stargate is one of my favourite series franchise, admittedly it is second to Star Trek 😉 I have to say, SGU is by far the best of all of them in my opinion, I think it was ahead of its time and maybe that was why it didn't do so well? I recently rewatched both series and I just can't believe it was cancelled, I really hope it gets revived soon!
I completely agree, SGU did so many new things, maybe it was too soon. I think maybe most SG fans didn't like SGU because it was quite different than the other two shows, and the people who actually would have been hooked by SGU didn't even watch because they didn't like SG-1 and thought SGU was the same. I like the 3 shows veeery dearly but yeah, SGU was really special in almost every way.
Yeah, Universe is neat in its own way but it's just built different from the original series and Atlantis. The Destiny crew was not at all prepared for what they were getting into and on top of that they're extremely cut off from Earth. At least the Atlantis crew eventually found solutions / workarounds to receive supplies and reinforcements from Earth. The Destiny crew doesn't have an effective workaround (they have the communication stones, but there's a limit to how much that can help them) and has to learn to work with what little they've got.
@@julesclarke6140 the show had issues. To much use of the communication stones. To dark and damp. To much two death's like the plant invasion. To many alternative time lines. To many blue aliens that get no episodes. To much religion with god alien stalkers.
@@TempoLOOKING To each their own then because I think the darkness vs light of the show was a work of art, the communication stones allowed for character building. It was a tad messy yes but that's because they were trying to build something a bit profound, something human.
The fact that youtube videos about a show that hasn't had any mayor presence in media for over 10 years can still pull 1/4 of a million views in a couple of weeks just goes to show how popular a new stargate series would be. What are MGM waiting for, exactly?
I really want to see the next STARGATE! but I want to see how Earth finally evolved with new tech, especially from how the Asgard gave Earth all of its technology! I want to see how they can finally stand up to these new threats and probably the replicators. I would like to see new ships and fighters, new tech, and see teal'c commanding Jaffa along with earth fighters fighting new threats. New Tech had to come through since McKay was in Atlantis learning the Ancient's Technology. Plus learning tech from the prior. How could we have not learned new technology I would love to see something like that and how we evolved to the 5th race and maybe help the Asgard come back or show some kind of loyalty to the Asgard since they gave us all their knowledge.
We're gonna need a Bigger Boat. With the James Webb telescope we're starting to gaze over the Edge of Creation right now.. pushing the boundaries of the theoretical limits of the Universe if the Big Bang really was a thing.. but so far.. those early Galaxies look remarkably familiar in composition. With such powerful new tools a Stargate: Cosmos would be setting up bases like the Asgard in nearby Galaxies and the Local Group and trying to get their hands around the bigger picture. Resource assessments, threats, existing competition or Reproachment with the Still very much alive Ancients.. and possibly the Vanir or returning Asgard travelers.. not unlike that ancestor they found in hibernation. Earth just found an Intergalactic train station.. and the Asgard didn't exactly leave them a Subway map. The Asgard were kind of preoccupied with skirmishs with the Ga'ould and solving their cloning problems regretting choices their ancestors made. Earth doens't have those limitations.. they've just been thrown into a much bigger fishbowl.. along with a Larger SETI and METI question to answer.. should we bite off more than we can chew.. Summon the Daemons from the Dark.. do we live in a Three Body Problem Universe?
Trouble with streaming telly setups is they need the next big thing to bring in new or returning subs to offset the ones who've left. This is why the various MCU shows have mostly been a cluster of episodes often with very little ground work to lay down in the first episode. A new stargate on a streaming platform might be lucky to get a couple of seasons done before the plug is pulled and it's also not as likely to get the 20 or so episodes that SG-1, Atlantis or Universe had in a single season. Fans of the franchise might be able to get it greenlit but probably won't have enough clout to stop the execs from walking away sooner than later.
I hate to be negative, but looking at what's happened to the other major Sci-Fi franchises, Star Wars/Trek, I can't see why _anyone_ would want more Stargate right now. Don't get me wrong, I love Stargate and I *do* want a continuation of the universe SG-1 began, however, media of all kinds has been absolutely terrible lately. Most of Star Trek and Star Wars is unwatchable, particularly if you have any respect for what came before it. And you can't look at what Amazon's doing with Tolkien and think for a second they won't do the same thing with Stargate. I certainly don't believe it'll be brought back without someone insisting that the show "needs to reflect the modern world" or "tackle modern issues." And sadly, Amazon can continue to do these things because it's not their main business model. People aren't going to cancel Amazon Prime over "Rings of Power" because it's not just a streaming service.
Totally agree! They shouldn't screw with a good thing anyone can watch the hundreds of hours of old episodes and still enjoy them. Whatever abomination Amazon would crap out wouldn't look, feel, or be anything like Stargate SG-1. Although, I am a Fan of the series I never really agreed with the shows basic premise that only a handful of people were to ever have access to this technology while the rest of us according to O'Neil "Simply aren't ready."
On hearing the concept of the Human/Tau'ri built gate. Ancients :: When we the Ancients built the Stargate. We took time and patiance to prepare and craft its form and function. So that we may bask in the thrill and excitement of reaching across the expanse of the void... Humans :: *Kicking down door and bursting into the cosmos...* BOOM BABY!!!
While it would be awesome with a new "proper" Stargate show. Why can't we have an amazing big budget Stargate video game, where we go to different planets. There is some big potential here, especially if the game features some proper writers to make interesting characters and stories.
They tried to build an MMO. There was a closed beta. It was being developed during the wrath of the lich king timeframe. Legal issues and money froze development.
I sure hope SG is resurrected. I so was BUMMED BIG TIME when SGU was cancelled or closed so succintly. We never really got to know what happened. Hope it's revived because SGU was top notch.
In an ideal world I would like to see both a new reboot and continuation and it could be interesting if they ran them in parallel like Atlantis and sg1 did for a while. Think about this storyline, a new reboot starts and they are struggling with goa'uld then in its pilot suddenly carter walks through their gate from original sg1 and helps save them. Could be a story of our new gate accidentally creating a link between the two dimensions that's unstable so not something we can just use whenever but then the new series can evolve from scratch with instead of the azgard saving earth and being the advanced race we look to for help but is unreachable it's the of sg1 team Both series can evolve almost independently with occasional cross overs for big events
They don't want to. The actor who played Sheppard told in an interview that HE personally secured the funding and location for season 6 of Atlantis. They didn't reply to him.
That was just used as an example in this video of what the Earth built Stargate could look like. But I think we should focus on the Stargate that we never got to see within the Ori Galaxy. We know that it exists, because it was used in order to get a prior to the milky way Gates.
the first season should just be about how they made the gate. Such as is it a purely Ancient based design or did they learn some things from the Nox like the Tollen did, and what problems they had while making/operating the gate before it was deemed to be safe (remember the kino planet and the wormhole being destabilized)
i think a homemade would be excellent and yes it should carry on from the universe that is already built but also i would like more on stargate universe itself as it just left it on a right cliffhanger
I agree, however they won't likely be able to get every actor to come back, which means they'll have to replace actors with other ones. I mean I had an idea that would end not only sgu, but it would also sort of revive some of those characters rolls and new actors and actresses as the method of saving them change them dramatically from what they were before and it would make sense within the law and how I was done.
Could you please do a video on the iris? I always wondered how that thing magically fit inside the stargate.

No idea about the first, but the second was made from trinium alloy. There are metals and metallic alloys IRL that are so-called "memory alloys", objects made from this can be deformed when they are cold but spring back into their original shape when heated. Trinium is an alien metal, maybe it has similar properties but reacts to electric charge instead of heat. (Possibly even has a crystal structure that allows it to "memorize" two shapes, one when it is charged with a negative static charge, and one with positive.)
Having just recently completed re-watching Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe again, I could really get behind a new series. My idea would be more along the lines of a group of nerdy friends who build their own stargate, but in a ironic twist they acutally gate into parallel dimensions instead thus embarking on fabulous adventures of exploration and discoveries on similar earths...
@@raymondcanessa7208 Outstanding! I loved the series Sliders and nothing could be better than a new series based on both concepts, without being lost though...
Rather than parallel dimensions and multiversal time traveling shenanigans. There is quite a bit of adventure to be have just conquering Gate Tech. The Tollan were only able to plug into the Ancient Gate network with the Help of the Nox.. who for their own reasons abandoned the Tollan after a period of time. I rather think it was their immature politics and the mistakes the Tollan kept making in diplomacy. The Nox were giving them space to make mistakes and grow up a bit. Earth wouldn't have that benefit. The first Earth gates would have to be anchored on each end by gates brought out to their destination just like the Ancient Gateships.. automated or not. So within the solar system Earth could anchor Earth gates from ground to orbit, Earth to the Moon, Mars, Io, Ganymede, even Venus. The first Earth gate to attempt to connect to the Ancients Gate by itself could be hilarious, disastrous, a major plot point for the show or a season. They might never know where they were going to end up, and have to conduct Star surveys at their destination. They would have Asgard and Ancient Tech.. but how the database was configured and what all that data means.. or if its out of date.. could land them in heaps of trouble. Earth gate from Earth to a Starship.. or using an Auxilary Ancient gate carried along for the explicit purpose of Ship to Gate travel would be interesting. There was a SCiFi Novel call Slow Freight that explored something like that. Or Victor VInges "Marooned in Realtime" a very Stargate friendly story with lots of intrigue.
They could easily do a reboot (somewhat) and still keep it in that same Brad Wright universe because I would love to see a Stargate show that centers around the four Great races coming together and forming their Alliance and be done in a slight Babylon 5 kind of way
2:05 Brad Wright proud about his new fast spinning gate. Lya of the Nox just smiles at him benignly and raises her hands, the event horizon following along, closing without even a backwash. ;-)
A reboot would totally kill it for old fans. Sure it could get a lot of new fans as well, but it'd be painful to see. Same reason the new film series would have been awkward to do given all that the series built up. As for gates, some sort of crystal gate would look really cool, nice cleaned up room instead of the ugly bunker background. The only thing you have to wonder is the time period it is set in. As you know, there was that one episode where they went to the very far future and saw little Cassie all grown up and it looked pretty much same-old Stargate room, but she did allude to the fact that it was pretty much unused and everything was covered in dust sheets. Clearly it was left as a legacy, right? The fact she had a dialer on her makes you wonder if they are fairly common now, or it could just be because she is part of the family. Maybe the Stargate program did go fully public in the new script and it is somewhere else like in the episodes with the... crap, forgot their name, the species that tried to make everyone sterile with promises of long life. Stargates now around the world, possibly humans even took Ancient research and figured out a way to have multiple gates around the same gravity well active at once instead of short-circuiting to only one. (given they done a lot of that deliberately as a form of attack or diversion, maybe they try to figure out the intricacies of how that worked and have a breakthrough) Maybe there is more use of Asgard transports cross-worlds, lot of Asgard tech in that database just sitting to be picked at. (Asgard themselves could be a future arc in itself, an attempt to revive the species that either works or works and then goes pear shaped) There's loads of interesting ways they could take a script, especially if they actively try to improve the gate network through the galaxies and all the new villains that could rise up to fill the gaps left in System Lords, Wraith and Ori. They could touch on old enemies, old friends, and entirely new ones. Maybe ascension is an active pursuit in a lot of people now, and the problems that could arise from some people attempting to cheat their way to unlimited power like everyones favourite snake. A cheers to Anubis.
I want to see what the horiz gate was, the show nor the movie ever showed this. But we know that it exists, because how else did the priors make it to the milky way Gates? It only suggests that the Ori created Stargates for their own priors, and it would make sense because they had several different worlds that they needed to visit as priors of the ori.
Can you imagine a time travel episode, going back to when the Asgard essentially committed suicide as we found a cure for them as well as how to save them, as we beat the Ori.
@@5226-p1e A time travel episode where they "found a way to save the Asgard without any weird paradoxes" would be a great way to do an extremely sad set of episodes where it went wrong. Still, I'd try steer away from timeline altering stuff, it's fun to think about, but it can get really iffy at times. It'd require a great script, especially if they actually did save them. (instead of the Ori ship being exploded by the planet, they could send back multiple weapons to end them, Asgard still around, told about the fact their engines can be detected by the Ori) Definitely needs a solid script to make it both enjoyable and not completely undo the tragic end of the Asgard. Maybe only some got saved and the planet still gets ended. Could go multiple ways. Maybe, maybe it ends up causing even more problems as the Ori learn they are using time travel and up their game by going back even further, pulling a Ba'al and trying to erase humanity in some form. Time wars are problematic though, best not to make an entire story arc out of it. Star Trek Enterprise had a reasonably decent time war arc, but even that was iffy at times, it's hard to do.
@@Hunnter2k3 The weird thing about them committing suicide, was they were always trying to continue existing within their current bodies because of their obvious issues of making a copy of a copy of a copy for hundreds of thousands of years cause degradation to their bodies, the funny thing is they could easily upload their mind into any creature and start over in another creatures body, they could still continue to live, they just wouldn't be who they used to be because that degradation went too far. I mean remember when Thor's mind was literally uploaded into a memory bank within Anubis computer on board his ship? It was only temporary, but his entire conscious mind was uploaded into that hard drive, and then it was moved from that hard drive to one of the asgards ships in order to transfer his mind from the ship to a new clone body. And the Asgard have been doing this for thousands on thousands of years. Hell they could have even uploaded their entire conscious mind into the Asgard core, can you imagine they actually did something like this in order to save themselves? And all it would take is for someone to discover the program and upload their mind into a body that they could use. It reminds me of a plot that I came up with to end SGU by transferring their conscious minds using the communication stones to download their mind into a new body, because it would cost too much power to do that with a stargate, but to move a conscious mind across the Galaxy into a new body, could essentially save them, now granted they wouldn't be in their own body for some of the people as some people may not have had their DNA and cold storage and they needed to create a clone body of that person for that new body. It's funny because I think Loki was on to something, he just didn't see that transforming himself into another being should have been what he should have tried, this is back when he cloned O'Neill, he only created the clone in order to learn from the clone so that he could research how to fix the degradation process within the Asgard bodies, but what he should have done is upload his mind into that body of young O'Neal. but obviously that's not where the story went.
@@missmobius Dark Matter was good but not as good as SGU, or at least it's not comparable even though the two shows seem very similar. To me Dark Matter rather had the same ingredients as SGA had, the only link with SGU was that they were on a ship. I don't mean to say you're wrong to really like DM, just that despite the appearances, it's not like SGU although probably underrated because it was quite a funny show.
That's because it's mostly digitalized. Essentially the other ones could be dialed digitally, but because they wanted to have moving parts in the way that it functioned, it essentially takes longer to dial. But at the way that transfers dialing a gate across the Galaxy in order to make a established connection, there's no difference in speed from that. The one use gate that Orlan created also functions with like a digital footprint, but because that only works for one address anyway and it would burn out after that one use, it didn't necessarily need to dial out as the coordinates were already programmed into it as a one dialed address.
One funny thing that we often talk about is the altaren changing their name based off of their generation. So when they left their home Galaxy that eventually became the Ori galaxy, they were known as alteran, but as they grew in their own society towards the peak end of their society they were known as the atlanteans or Lantians, but for some reason they are still referred to as the ancients even though they themselves didn't call themselves this. In my eyes they're still alteran, because that's how they began, I mean it would be like as if we called ourselves human in the beginning and then later on when we are still human call ourselves something else. it just doesn't make sense to me, but if you want to use it to differentiate what generation of altaren they were, it makes sense to use atlantean when they're at the peak of their development just before they ascended. The title of ancients on the other hand, was first used by the asgard, but it almost sounds like the Asgard never really met them even though they made friends with each other within the lore, or the Asgard sworn to secrecy not to tell the humans of Earth that the ancients were our first evolution species? Or did they possibly not know this detail, and did they possibly never meet the altaren or atlanteans, because again they only mentioned them by a title that they were never really called by themselves as the ancients. I just find it super bizarre to call them the ancients especially since we're the same species and they were our first evolution, which also begs the question why are we known as The fifth race? I would think that we are the second evolution of the first race as that would be much more accurate correct?
I'd be sad if Amazon decided to make a new non-canon show that didn't have Brad Wright and/or Joseph Mallozzi at the helm. I say non-canon because I wouldn't consider it canon with them. I wouldn't watch it, to be honest, no matter how big of a fan I am of the franchise. I've seen what Amazon does to shows. I'm even skeptical of a new show with Brad and/or Joe at the helm. Companies like Amazon, Netflix, and Disney have some say in the production, and we know what they'll want included (the message).
I agree, I'm also very skeptical of Amazon and their motivations, especially with their newfound pledge on their website when it comes to the creation of new shows. I simply do not trust amazon, I also don't trust netflix, right now they are desperate as hell to gain their audience back because people are rejecting the woke garbage and Netflix doubled down for years and years on end, and now at the 11th hour they are begging for people to subscribe to them and stay with their service, what do they think they get rid of the woke shows and woke moron to work for them and they think that people are just going to come back all willy-nilly? The same customers that they lied to and shamed and blamed and continued to reinforce and double down on this garbage for years are just going to come back after being abused all those years with garbage shows. that's like you're cheating girlfriend who cheated on you for years and years, begging for you to come back to her after she cheated on you with half a dozen other men, if the man is weak he'll go back to her, but if he's not weak he will not take her back because of her betrayal against him. And this is how people feel about netflix, I would hope enough people would wake up and do this with Disney and Amazon, however Amazon has their own problem with people not signing up to be prime members, problem is they have a line their prime membership with everything on their website, and the price has gone up at least $40 in the US, that's not exactly worth it for the average person anymore. If they really want their customers back, they need to get rid of the woke shit, but they also need to reduce the price at least 100 fold from the price they are giving us now. it's almost like they need to have better memberships, like an example would be that their prime video is separate from their prime membership when it comes to general use of amazon, which means the price would be much lower than the full on membership status price.
But was it not always providing the message? Strong smart women, people of colour, Jaffa and goa’uld from across all races (but most bad guys Caucasian) all it needs to come up to date is an openly gay or trans team member or back room boffin. The difference was SG didn’t ram it down your throat - they were subtle.
I absolutely loved SG:U, and it sucked when it got shut down. I would love to see more stargate, especially if after a few seasons they somehow manage to contact the Destiny haha But I have been burned time and time again by scifi shows being canned just as they get some momentum. So I'm hesitant to become attached. But it would be awesome if the show was produced!
What I really want is some StarGate video games. It's shame they never really made any. Just a FPS similar to StarTrek elite forces would have been cool. Get to plays as SG6 or something where you get to see what they did during that time period as well as get called in as backup on a few of the iconic SG1 missions!
It will more than likely be exactly what you fear, although they've been trying to push out wright this whole time. Because they can make woke gate with any writer, meaning he is easily replaceable with your average dipshit that will write a show in the favor of what Amazon wants, because Amazon only give a shit about propaganda, they could give a shit about making money unless that propaganda makes them money. But ultimately what it comes down to is they care more about their propaganda than they care about anything else, which is why they're so willing to double down and fail on making their shows.
Why do you need to be afraid of that, rather than have it just simply be part of what actually has always been normal. What is your definition of woke? The actual one that gives people the ability to be recognized as full people amongst biggots? Or the marginalized political kind on TV that is meant to continue to take awareness away for normalizing anything not CIS white by making it look like a joke and something to be made fun of? Do you even know?
Thanks for the great video and all of your efforts to reboot Stargate !! The stargate series is by far the best SciFi series ever made - and it seems impossible that MGM and Amazon haven't taken the obvious opportunity to continue it's development ?? Perhaps it's a reflection on the new audiences and their lack of SciFi sophistication. I just hope any reboots don't cater to the touchy - feely orientation that so many recent series have adopted. That would completely ruin it !! It seemed to me that "Universe" started to move a bit in that direction !!!
My hometime has a bronze sculpture that looks like a type of stargate. It looks like it's been hastily removed from a more formal emplacement, with lots of loose wires and chunks of cladding around the periphery, and then simply mounted onto a brick and mortar pedestal. It's a smaller size, maybe 4-6 feet in diameter. There are no chevrons and no spinning bits, so it was either a gate to a single location or it's entirely digital and stealth.
You don’t repaint the Sistine Chapel. Stargate IS SciFi’s Sistine Chapel. As much as I would KILL to see new Stargate it would HAVE TO star Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Chris Judge etc etc. In other words I want them all back. So instead I rewatch again & again my “SciFi Sistine Chapel” It NEVER gets stale or old. I just lay there look up & admire a work of PERFECTION. When something is that good you treasure it. Yes I still want a Brad Wright-RDA reboot but I have my flawless “1 karat diamond” but maybe 2 is better than 1 or not? Either way I’m very grateful❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Thank you Brad RDA AT MS CJ all the Stargate crew - my SciFi family❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’d say the first episode premiere with the Destiny Gate opening with a SG 1 crew new and old characters the new gate being able to dial Destiny. SG teams and gear rolling through they find the crew including Eli in the repaired pod!! After setting up all the equipment they awaken the crew!!! They tell them all the new F-305 ship having ancient type hyperdrive will arrive in a month and can make repairs and updates to the ship except the FTL drives they need a space Dock for!!
One thing never mentioned in comments is the fact that everything discussed has been just that.. a discussion.. brainstorming.. nothing is set to happen. This is just "what if", but still.. a nice video.
I think that's pretty much implied most of the time anyway. meaning it doesn't necessarily need to be brought up because we all know typically what this is generally about. We all know and understand that the show is not here yet, but we all want it to come back, some of us don't care how it comes back they just wanted to come back, which I believe is careless and stupid, because we should focus on a good quality show over just the show coming back at any form, because they could totally screw it up and it could be a really sucky series because people wanted the show so bad that they just chose any way to create the show terrible or not.
No, it's not just brainstorming. MGM commissioned Brad to write the pilot for a new Stargate show. Which he did. The script for the first episode of a new Stargate series exists. That's way beyond "discussion". The problem is development appears to have ended there, because MGM once again seems hellbent to let the potential gold mine that is Stargate remain buried.
@@UGLYP1G That's true, but MGM is out of the discussion and they have no more gold to obtain as they sold everything to Amazon. I kind of wish they at least sold the rights to Stargate outside of the entire library of MGM, because at least at that point they could continue the series, but right now it's this constant legal nonsense and Amazon trying to change things and the fans not liking what Amazon might do based off of previous shows they have created. We either will get a show of Stargate that maybe good or maybe terribly done, or we won't get a show at all because we know they'll destroy it.
Years ago I was really excited that season 3 of SGU dropped after a long time waiting for it, which made sense thematicly considering the end of season 2. Sadly it was just a dream and it's frustrating there still isn't a new Stargate show in production. I'm thrilled at the prospect of a new show considering all the advancements in production tech since the last season of Stargate and the possibilities there are to tell new stories.
In the episode “The Fifth Race” the Asgard are in a different galaxy that has Stargate’s, there could be hundreds of different galaxy’s with gates? Maybe a new series could be set in a new galaxy? Whatever happens hope there is an announcement soon!
If they reboot it, and completely f’up the timeline, fans will be pissed. They need to continue the timeline already established. All 3 shows have left unanswered questions as well as historical timelines that need to be dealt with.
Realistically, you're totally right. I was hoping after the May 2021 announcement that Amazon would utilize the regulatory approval period to begin evaluating and strategizing in tandem, but that seems not to have been the case.
I think an interesting choice would be to save alternate Earths that fell, going back in time from those points if necessary, armed with data about solar flares. Several episodes could be used to save one alternate Earth.
Human build Stargate sounds cool!!! It really opens the door for a new story telling. I really want my most favorite sci-fi franchise of all time - STARGATE, to be revived with Brad Wright, Robert Cooper, Joseph Mallozzi and all the other writers of SG-1, SGA, and SGU on the helm!!!!!!
A bunch of modern teenagers who do not even know about the existing stargate system build their own "gadget" that taps into the existing set of gates without even knowing it. They call it the "Light Door" and the adventure starts. Eventually they meet up with modern "stargaters" somewhere off world and that right there is the "reboot" of the franchise. Totally new, modern characters with occasional guest appearances by the "veterans" How they are going to keep Stargate Command from simply taking the Light Door project over is something I will have to think about... Or maybe the gates have been mothballed and the first scene is like the very first time we saw the stargate. Then of course all the "oldies" are brought out of retirement to figure out what the hell is going on. Should be fun...
i'll never get how no company picked up the next show at the very least they'd have a dedicated fanbase eager to sign up to their streaming service to watch the revival of a classic. y'kno... unless they make a quick cash grab with bad writers & production quality like they did a few years back "i don't know how this project failed" "here's an idea, maybe at least match the production quality that they did over TWENTY years ago wtfh"
It does make sense that the SGC would have built their own gate by now. I mean consider the achievements of the SGC in using alien technology in the show we saw, including adapting Goa'uld and alien technologies to build spaceships. Carter had detailed knowledge of how the gates work, so at this point we'd not only make our own, but we'd have an improved system that fits Earths needs for a gate. I always loved how humanity basically built their own dialing computer by strapping a massive array of machinery and computer to the gate to manually dial it, which is why it spins up, whereas gates off earth with a DHD don't spin up. This is the next big step, I hopem they execute it well and it's not some ugly thing that fans end up regretting.
Here's an idea or two: gates of different sizes could have "compatibility" issues, like one-way travel only, from small gate to large gate... or the gates could reassemble anything transported through them scaled up or down to match the size ratio (that could cause problems!).
Stargate, Firefly and so on ALL deserve to be brought back and developed more. Such awesome shows. There are so many fans out there who really want these shows that I cannot understand why they are not snapped up - if the business model is all about bean counting I am sure they would make their money. Come on guys, boot the bean counters and just get on with it.
The fact is that if Brad Wright still had any reason to think that his script would be accepted by Amazon (even after reworking), he would never have revealed any details of that same script. We can only conclude a sad news: Brad is out of the game. At least, I think that's the most rational hypothesis at this point. And I still say what I've always said, it's not only sad news, it's also a stupid choice from Amazon that would be even worse if they had the completely absurd idea to wipe out the 300+ episodes of the franchise by deciding to reboot it. I'm not saying that a reboot wouldn't be good entertainment, I'm saying that it wouldn't be Stargate, it wouldn't be what most of us have been waiting for so many years, it would rather be a silly affront to the fans and Amazon must be expecting a backlash, because I think that many of us will categorically refuse to support them by watching a reboot of our favorite franchise. If Amazon reboots Stargate, then I will boycott it and I invite each fan of the franchise to do the same, Amazon shouldn't ignore us with impunity, they have to take the consequences, they ignore us? We will do the same!
Love it, living with the evelution of time gone since SG1 started in 1997.. not noted in this release of leaks... but i'd love to see a re-amp of the entire series combinding, where todays earth with their homemade stargate can with less powerabuse on the grids conect farther, with atlantis as a base of search and resue for the SG-U team etc... trust me as a one of millions of fans, we would all love this madness.. (unfortunatly for our mothers as we all likly are over 35years old) 🤣 Richard D.A looks aged now, but he could be the new "teaxher" like the character "chatryn" was in SG-1. Just my thoughts, no need to agree with me.
Existing cannon has to be honoured at this point IMO even if it is considered to be another Dimension or alternate Timeline or point in time past or future, I would like some more feature length instalments like they did with SG1 at the end but something StarGate is needed Soon it's been too long!?!?
The peak of the streaming rush is over though. All of the studios and services are starting to slow down new productions, increase prices and fracture their services into something more like old fashioned cable channels.
I think a new series with a human built gate sounds great! The question is though, what is the adventure, what is the challenge? They rebooted the Gould, they introduced the Ori and the Wrathe, and we even had a lost-in-space style series with potential. What new horizon could be met? Hope they DONT do alternate dimensions or quantum leaping.... Perhaps a human goes back in time to the time of the early ancient and helps kick-start their technology and even is the one to teach them how to build gates? Kind of a self forefilling prophecy.
- Classic Milky Way Gates - Pegasus Gates - Destiny's Gates - Tollan Gates - "Toaster" Gates - Ori Super Gates. We never saw (?) any regular Ori gates, only rings.
To be fair, the Babylon 5 reboot is in the same boat. It was effectively shelved by a studio merger, and Straczynski is only optimistic because one studio higher-up who was a fan of the original used his powers to avoid cancellation altogether, delaying the potential pilot instead.
If earth can build its own stargates, doesn't that imply they can build transport rings as well? If so they could be used to ferry more and larger equipment to orbiting space stations and spacedocks. That could really open the possibility for larger ships/fleets for battles. Exciting prospects.
I mean.. with the Asgard tech having been given to humanity and the secrets to replicating it being known, why use ring teleportation devices?
We have the entirety of the Asgard technology, why would we use such primitive transport such as the ring transporters? Especially when we have beaming transporters from the asgard?
Pretty sure the rings on later BCs aren't stolen or yanked from somehere else but rather human made.
What I would like to know is why some cargo was marked "no ring transport"
The Orville is great... it's on Hulu and it's fresh !
@@Elphaba1952 I don't get Hulu.
Its gonna be sad watching stargate's name be drug through the mud after this "new show" comes out, it'll be full of leftist politics and leftist ideologs that it'll fail and kill the series, just like star trek and star wars. Stargate will join the used to be great tv shows list.
I think Babylon 5 takes this honor.
Big Sci-Fi show like Stargate? You bet they’re gonna interfere. Gotta “modernize” it. ugh.
@@MisterPuck They did alright with The Expanse though
I'm worried they will make it a woke piece of garbage.
I think what impresses me more than that there might be a new Stargate is that a good chunk of the old staff can still stand eachother.
You didn't watch SGU did you? There was good chemistry, but they had the unfortunate beginning of unfortunate events take place before they could focus on their chemistry.

That is very true, it started off with a very rough more serious beginning than any of the other shows.
Probably way too far. That presumably was Asgard (based) technology, since they did it, too.
Asgard Thor had similar device in episode "Small victories"
I assume the standard slow dialing is a way to let the other side know someone is coming and to prepare for a visit. Possibly, it could also allow the stargate to perform several failsafe procedures, which the computers at SGC often bypassed. Opening the gate instantly was always possible, but you had to know how and presumably you had to know that you were creating a safe, stable wormhole.
The Nox could activate the stargate with a single, dramatic wave of their arms, no waiting for symbols in order, no waiting for a whooshing vortex to subside.
I want to say they say the year didn't they say it was like 2070 something

With the past treatment of beloved IPs, am I alone?
you are not alone…. I fear them giving StarGate the Rings of Power treatment…… too much politics an Preaching not enough Sci-Fi escapism

Totally agree with you.
And find a place for "Rodney"
Nah. They need a new cast. Of course the originals will cameo but this show needs to be about to future of Stargate not the past.
I just want to say that you are doing a great job finding relevant (and funny) clips to play during the voice-over. I'm sure it's not easy. Thank you.

I hope they don't. Sometimes less is more.
Shhh. We saw Furlings in 200 ;)
And humans were given ALL the Asgard Tech!!!!!
The nox and the asgard were both able to open the gate quicker than people using dhds. And the Cassandra from the future had a device that also did it.
I think the tollans can also
I want to know more about what the Destiny crew observed in the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation.

I wish we’d get an official reason why they don’t want to green light more stargate.
Funny how the motion of the dude jumping thru the homemade starGate .. looks very similar to Sliders original worm hole systems

Thankfully fans wouldn't stand for it, or allowing Emmerich to hard reboot it by remaking the original movie and add sequels to it either.
hell, they could just do a sidetimeline. maybe a continuation of the infinity continuity.
Maybe as well as building their own gate they can build their own version of the DHD so that the dialling is faster more akin to that of the Atlantis control room.
why would they need their own network, one already exists, they can just add to it and keep exploring.

Stargate is one of my favourite series franchise, admittedly it is second to Star Trek 😉
I have to say, SGU is by far the best of all of them in my opinion, I think it was ahead of its time and maybe that was why it didn't do so well?

Could be a story of our new gate accidentally creating a link between the two dimensions that's unstable so not something we can just use whenever but then the new series can evolve from scratch with instead of the azgard saving earth and being the advanced race we look to for help but is unreachable it's the of sg1 team
Both series can evolve almost independently with occasional cross overs for big events
Right!
They don't want to.
The actor who played Sheppard told in an interview that HE personally secured the funding and location for season 6 of Atlantis. They didn't reply to him.
Haven’t we seen this before - the gate that Orrin built in Sam Carter’s basement?
That was just used as an example in this video of what the Earth built Stargate could look like. But I think we should focus on the Stargate that we never got to see within the Ori Galaxy.
We know that it exists, because it was used in order to get a prior to the milky way Gates.
I love this channel so much! It's so nice to read all the comments and to see how many fans are still out there!
Thank you, Nanatana!
the first season should just be about how they made the gate.
@ I’m really curious though where it is the iris is deactivated as you can’t see it at all when the gate is inactive.

I don't know why, but the cat videos line really cracked me up XD
(given they done a lot of that deliberately as a form of attack or diversion, maybe they try to figure out the intricacies of how that worked and have a breakthrough)
Maybe there is more use of Asgard transports cross-worlds, lot of Asgard tech in that database just sitting to be picked at. (Asgard themselves could be a future arc in itself, an attempt to revive the species that either works or works and then goes pear shaped)
There's loads of interesting ways they could take a script, especially if they actively try to improve the gate network through the galaxies and all the new villains that could rise up to fill the gaps left in System Lords, Wraith and Ori.
Sorry I'm using text to speech, I was trying to say I want to see the Ori gate.
(instead of the Ori ship being exploded by the planet, they could send back multiple weapons to end them, Asgard still around, told about the fact their engines can be detected by the Ori)
Definitely needs a solid script to make it both enjoyable and not completely undo the tragic end of the Asgard.
@@Hunnter2k3
The weird thing about them committing suicide, was they were always trying to continue existing within their current bodies because of their obvious issues of making a copy of a copy of a copy for hundreds of thousands of years cause degradation to their bodies, the funny thing is they could easily upload their mind into any creature and start over in another creatures body, they could still continue to live, they just wouldn't be who they used to be because that degradation went too far.

Thanks for sharing. My vote would be for the human made star gate and for continuity with the existing canon, rather than a reboot from scratch.
I always found the Pegasus gate dialled faster out of all the gates.
There was an DIY Stargate in episode Ascension I had to look it up. But I'm excited to see a new Gate.
Yep, it's in the video!
@@GateWorldDotNet *And another reply **#Darren**.*
@@spearmintvole9522 And it was well written. Most shows today that push the "message" are poorly written.
I love your tongue in cheek commentary about Amazon, when you said _"entered into negotiations with Amazon"_ and showed Yu, Nirrti and Cronus. :P lol
Thanks for noticing. :)
I absolutely loved SG:U, and it sucked when it got shut down. I would love to see more stargate, especially if after a few seasons they somehow manage to contact the Destiny haha
But I have been burned time and time again by scifi shows being canned just as they get some momentum. So I'm hesitant to become attached.
But it would be awesome if the show was produced!
What I really want is some StarGate video games. It's shame they never really made any.
Just a FPS similar to StarTrek elite forces would have been cool. Get to plays as SG6 or something where you get to see what they did during that time period as well as get called in as backup on a few of the iconic SG1 missions!
yeah imagine a SG game made with as much effort as they put into the new Harry Potter game, that would be a dream!
My deepest fear is that they force Wright to make a WOKE Stargate, if they going to do that better not do nothing.
They will and he will. Non binary Jaffa and pink haired feminist team leader.
@@Anarchist86ed 😢😢
Why do you need to be afraid of that, rather than have it just simply be part of what actually has always been normal.
What is your definition of woke? The actual one that gives people the ability to be recognized as full people amongst biggots? Or the marginalized political kind on TV that is meant to continue to take awareness away for normalizing anything not CIS white by making it look like a joke and something to be made fun of?
Do you even know?
@@jayce8001 because it sucks, and that shit is not going to last.
Stargagate was one of my favourites 😭 And then cames Univers 🙈 and cut😯???🤯
Please bring it back 🙏🏻
You don’t repaint the Sistine Chapel.
Amazon needs to absolutely use Brads scripts. We need more of what we love.
@@UGLYP1G
That's true, but MGM is out of the discussion and they have no more gold to obtain as they sold everything to Amazon.
I think they should continue the existing canon. I would like to learn what happened to Elli at the end of SG-U
In the episode “The Fifth Race” the Asgard are in a different galaxy that has Stargate’s, there could be hundreds of different galaxy’s with gates? Maybe a new series could be set in a new galaxy?
Whatever happens hope there is an announcement soon!
Wife and I loved the Stargate franchises. SG1 was best. Bring back SG1.
If they reboot it, and completely f’up the timeline, fans will be pissed. They need to continue the timeline already established. All 3 shows have left unanswered questions as well as historical timelines that need to be dealt with.
One of the best Sci-fi shows ever!!!! Will keep an eye out for a new Stargate.
Only been 5 months since Amazon acquired MGM guys, chill. These things take a good long while to get going.
Realistically, you're totally right. I was hoping after the May 2021 announcement that Amazon would utilize the regulatory approval period to begin evaluating and strategizing in tandem, but that seems not to have been the case.
@@GateWorldDotNet *#Indeed** **#Darren**.*
Also it’s time to bring back the Nox!! Introduce the furling!!!
Totally new, modern characters with occasional guest appearances by the "veterans"
How they are going to keep Stargate Command from simply taking the Light Door project over is something I will have to think about...
Or maybe the gates have been mothballed and the first scene is like the very first time we saw the stargate.
Then of course all the "oldies" are brought out of retirement to figure out what the hell is going on.
Should be fun...
Stargoonies? ;D
"Cat videos on Chulak" - I nearly choked on my coffee!🤣
i'll never get how no company picked up the next show
at the very least they'd have a dedicated fanbase eager to sign up to their streaming service to watch the revival of a classic.
y'kno... unless they make a quick cash grab with bad writers & production quality like they did a few years back
"i don't know how this project failed"
"here's an idea, maybe at least match the production quality that they did over TWENTY years ago wtfh"
SG-1 and Atlantis have acceptable end (not "end" end but "meh" end) but SGU doesn' t have sth like that. Right way is finish SGU first...
Stargate SG1 and Atlantis, aswell as Star Trek (TOS,TNG, VOY, DS9) are my most favourite sci-fi series.
It would be great if they could bring the SGU team home
I just want to see a Brad Wright Stargate show on Amazon.
It makes sense for Amazon to allow all of the SG stuff to be available, makes us happy and shows them that there's still interest in it..
(unfortunatly for our mothers as we all likly are over 35years old) 🤣
Richard D.A looks aged now, but he could be the new "teaxher" like the character "chatryn" was in SG-1.
Just my thoughts, no need to agree with me.
Oh snap! Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks and Ben Browder could be back? I like this even more.
Existing cannon has to be honoured at this point IMO even if it is considered to be another Dimension or alternate Timeline or point in time past or future, I would like some more feature length instalments like they did with SG1 at the end but something StarGate is needed Soon it's been too long!?!?
One of my biggest wishes always has been to continue Star Gate Universe
I would love to see new stargate series
- Classic Milky Way Gates
- Pegasus Gates
- Destiny's Gates
- Tollan Gates
- "Toaster" Gates
- Ori Super Gates.
The moment CW was mentioned I lost hope.
