I don't see anything wrong with using sync if it's because the dj is being creative with the music (which i feel you are). Another comment I wanted to make was that i found it very interesting how you use the gain to draw attention to the track instead of the lows. Is this something you do because you've found it to lead to smoother transitions? OR is it just how you've taught yourself? I'm only asking because I never touch my gains unless the track itself is way louder or softer than the track(s) playing. Great work :)

In that time I made this video my "beatmatching" was just my feeling to start the track exactly in the perfekt time...after time I have learned a lot of different ways to make this better so now I always use loops und the manual beatmatching (I don't like the sync function^^) Now to your question about my gains...seriously I have never ever thought about this haha. But I think I do it to draw attention on the soft melody part. I hope I have answered your questions in my german-english :D

The key is to prepare your set well! I am pretty sure he placed grids befor, set cue-points and knew when to loop his songs, you have to train and prepare your set befor you play it like this! And then you can ad little details such as when he cut out reloaded and added a hp/lp filter to create a 'fade-effect'. Hope I helped you!

I personally don't care (since I feel like Sync allows the DJ to focus on the mashups instead of counting to 4 repeatedly to get shit right) And coming from mixing on a controller with Ableton, I've been looking into either an SX2 or Traktor S4. Mind sharing what you're doing in this video to stay on tempo? When I mixed, I like mixing quickly between songs and setting up my cue points (really just launch points in ableton with the launchpad) and the occasional samples from other channels. Would I be able to do the same here?
I use an ATA case bruh. I had an Ody for my DDJSX Vanilla rig (in my YT pic, actually). But I went with the ATA for the SX2 because I get a case for each set of decks I own. The ATA's just as good build-wise and about $100+ cheaper. I've driven, Amtrak'd, flown, and even Greyhounded with both cases. No diff in protection thus far.

Not there ones, but they are very complete software. Some others are free. Try a search with Google, just make sure that you can separate sound and video, to make a perfect adjust.
Phil J Naylor Well, I reocrded my music with Serato, there is a function in it. At the same time a was recordeing the audio, I recorded the video. In the end I put the two parts with camtasia (the 30 days test version) together and loaded it up :)
