    • @YourMajesty143

Yeah but the corn flour we use is manufactured completely different from what other latin countries use. Masa arepa or Harina Pan is what you wanna look for when you go to the store. In Venezuela, it's eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a flat bread (kinda like a tortilla or pizza base) for whatever toppings you want, whereas in Colombia it's eaten specifically as a filled hot pocket sandwich but which allows for so many kinds of ways to eat it!

my father's family has lived in Venezuela for 40 years, my parents lived 10 years in there too and my brother was born there and they have tought me the Venezuelan way of making arepas and we have always done them since I can remember. Its so cool to see the difference between the Venezuelan way and the Colombian way to prepare them (I know Stephanie and Diane are Americans but for example, they don't mention reina pepiada or carne mechada as the common stuffing or how they put the toppings over the arepa and not inside)

@@nicolerh I just wanted to hopefully clear something up. OP wasn’t referring to the actress’s ethnicity or heritage at all. With her most famous character, Rosa Diaz on Brooklyn 99, she uses a stunning character voice that is much deeper than her usual tone. Also uses the same character voice for Gina on Bojack I believe. And it’s a bit of a shock to hear her real voice outside of that. It really speaks to her talent honestly!! Character voices are not easy to do, especially one as memorable as hers.
But I don’t think OP was saying at all that people sound the same because of their ethnicity. =)
