I like that KBB is trying new things with their reviews. Some might not like it but it's definitely better than their older reviews. They should keep this new style of reviews. So far all of the car reviews I've seen from other sites are dull. This is some nice spice to the variety.

I got 31.6 MPG in city driving with the 1.6CRDi 2011.
@New York native it was very reliable. Had no problems throughout the one yr I had it. Only down side was fuel consumption. It was a 1.6CRD diesel. It took a lot of effort to drive it to get me up to 31mpg.
No comments about the engine really?

Good thing is that the 2012 models get completely new engines and transmissions. And about 3-4 more mpgs too...
the epa estimates for the 2.0 are 24 city, 30 highway, not 26,31. that is only for the base model

Been thinking about one... but the Mini is just so much of a sweet driver... just hate having one option or another... people or stuff... but not both.
@bronxboyXXX i figured that as well. my best mileage was 33 miles per gallon. there is 1 thing you have to remember though. a corvette is light and low to the ground. the kia soul is 2800 pounds and is kinda tall. that does not add up to make the best mileage out there. if i was driving around the city though, i could still get around 27 miles per gallon because the height will not bother gas mileage at low speeds. nice job with your vette for gas mileage by the way.
Wow, someone that works at kbb drives like I do. I only managed to get 27 mpg in a 2011 Prius! Disappointing when I get about 35 mpg in my 2006 Jetta TDI.

20 MPG is terrible. I think it's because of the 4 spd automatic 1.6 L 4 cylinder engine. My grandma's 2012 Kia soul with a 6 spd automatic and 2.0 L 4 cylinder got 32 MPG average! And it had lots of power. Fast as a Ford Crown Victoria.
so far, i had a kia soul + for around 33,000 miles. i average about 30 miles per gallon doing 50% city / 50% highway
Random note: why do we only see and hear the guy talk and review the cars? They need to put more videos out with her reviewing the car.

*whew* so im not going crazy. My TPMS light wont go off either, and ive got all 4 tires at factory pressure. I thought i had some sort of leak
,Take it for a mechanic they are junk,put in rubber stems and as you enter your car just a quick eye check at the bottom of the tire will do the trick,Soul holds 33lbs.I was working on a 2013 Soul and was so impressed 26 city/32hwy I bought one.You have to remember ,it's a gdi ,,direct injection not multi-port .The intake and exhaust valves are above the injectors!This means carbon builds up ,,you have to get CRC /gdi valve cleaner and do a cleaning ,,directions on can read carefully!THIS MUST BE DONE EVERY 8,000 MILES!!Takes about 15 mins,then you will get 26 city 32 hwy!!These are well built cars I love the suspension set-up balance perfect too much of a soft ride will wear out bushings!
that is really good idea i would like to see close observing to the KIA Optima and Hyundai sonata most people special those Chrysler/Dodge enthusiast put down these brands KIA /Hyunday in quality for the long run which i think they are wrong .. but will see according to people who already buy KIA and Hyundai they are happy with it until now :-)

WTF in 90 degree F weather with AC blasting I get 30-31 MPG highway in my '09 Impreza which has a 2.5 Liter 175hp engine with full time AWD (5-speed). Something is wrong w/ that car. Oh, and are you hittin that? I would, or try to. LOL
I took my Kia Soul to go see Moochie and the Woodchips, but they were sold out.
I get better mileage tooling around town (~31-32) than on the highway (~27) with my Soul. I'm sure the anti-aerodynamic shape is responsible for this oddness.

I don't care how heavy ur foot is 20 mpg on highway is garbage! Even when I drive with pedal to the floor in my six year old civic I still get 30+ mpgs
