I stopped being embarrassed by the poop bag because I realized I'm saving someone from stepping on poop and that if I don't tie the bag until I get to the trash I can use it as a projectile if I'm being harassed.
I’m about to get a service dog in college and while I have seen many vlogs about service dogs in high school, I was very curious about how it works in college. This video is super helpful! Thank you!
It seems like you don’t have any issues with him knowing when it’s work time and when it’s play time… zoomies with his vest on. I’ve known dogs who had very different personas when they vest was off or on.
yep! for us, I want him to be able to work with or without the vest, so I use commands to let him know when he's working and a release word to let him know when he can play
Where did you get the y-front harness with the like fabric top, the pink one in the last part of the video? I'm looking for one like that for summertime (aka right now😅) so it's not so hot on my SDIT especially since he gets hotter than most bc he's black an attracts the heat!
Nice Sera!! I did a video similar, back in the School System years ago! (Mars’s yawn is too cute/wholesome, at 0:08! My Guide Dog Zeke does that EVERY morning!)
This is legitimately my favorite channel ever. Such a comfort channel. I fought all day with people trying to bring their dogs into an event that I was volunteering for and it was hell, this is so refreshing. Vizslas are my favorite breed and when it’s time for me to get a service animal, a vizsla is going to be my top pick. < 3 Fiddlesticks I just realized that Mars is a Labrador lmao he looks so much like a vizsla!!
my service dog is also a hunting breed and he is the smartest little guy ever i say little he's a medium size dog now and just finished training I'm so proud to call him my service dog and bestfriend
Hi! Do you owner train him? I’m working on getting my prospect dog to be a decent PSD for me but I have such an imposter syndrome about going back to college next semester with a SDiT when I was “functional” without one last year.
The ball is from @/bolderk9 on Instagram and the collar is from @/mellin_crafts also on Instagram (and you can use code Mars20 for a discount on the collar!)
@@marsservicedog yay! thank you so much :) also i love your content, I'm new to the service dog community + im a college student about to finally start in person classes with my SDiT, and your vids motivate, inspire, and comfort me bc i get anxious abt college!

The sims soundtrack?
What breed is Mars?
He's a field line Labrador retriever!
@@marsservicedog Beautiful breed!
Is that a service dog or emotional support animal? There's a difference. I think this new craze with ESA is like the trans thing. It's now a fad.
He's a task trained service dog for my disabilities, and my roommate's cat is an ESA for her mental health :)
