I have a crackpot theory about the H and why it looks so radically different from every other Xenon ship. The H is actually an original terran ship from before the xenon went rogue that survived the years between then and now largely intact. The modern xenon ships we see are influenced/designed by whatever the xenon probes found out in the black that made them go wild, while the H is still largely "pure." I don't have much evidence to back this up beyond vibes and the very clear insectoid inspiration the P/S/K/I have that's missing here.
That's basically its description. The H is a Terraformer ship, and the ancestor of the bygone J carrier. You should see the model of the J in XBTF/X-Tension, it's nearly identical to the H, but wider and flatter.

Xenons decided (or rather calculated) that this type is more progressive than the previous ones. Your theory is correct, I think.
These things are kickass skirmishers. Put one (preferably 2 or 3) of them through the gate ahead of the rest of the fleet, and they'll allow for a safe jump into the sector. Or stick one next to a bunch of siege destroyers attacking a station, and they'll keep all the fighters and station defence drones of them. Very good, very versatile ships.
I had a fleet of 1 Colossus E with S bombers and 4 Hs to act like interceptors with their drones. My thought process was that the S bombers will engage hostile capitals and the Hs drones will intercept. It was all fun and games until a K come out of a gate and kill one of the Hs before I could react. So, I reloaded, parked the fleet somewhere and never use it again. All I can do with an H is to have fun against fighters and run away if I encounter a xenon K. In that regard, the H is worst than most destroyers, because they could kill a xenon K under player control, while the H could not, because it take a huge amount of time for its 70 defence drones to kill a K.
Thx for sharing. It does seem like a lot of fun despite it's lack in combat efficiancy. I hope they add a mining feature to it so we have a mining/destroyer hybrid against the little sh*t's ( Khaak) we all so love. Cheers
@@brianbradley2 I need to correct myself somewhat since I just remembered how Mining Drones work. It definitely can mine (I use a bunch) but mining Drones just carry the Ore and this thing fields it's hold rather fast anyway. It's definitely not the fastest Miner but it resists the average Khaak surprise visit well enough.
the main thing with the H is that it can deploy a swarm of 50 deffence drones. in addition to its guns. just imagen haveing 5 h in the fleet that at once deploy 250 of those little buggers.

I like those seismic turrets, wonder if they are better for bigger targets?! I hope other races will steal the tech and create their own versions, like the Paranid had in X3 than bubble turrets.
Cool, they changed the animation and the principle of dealing damage to the Graviton Turret? The ship is externally beautiful, it’s a pity that it is impossible to at least fill it with equipment to the maximum. Although, perhaps the moders will correct that injustice😁
No, that is not Graviton Turret, but a Seismic...something 🤔 Edit: seismic charge turret. Edit 2: the next beta will fix the missing equipment components.
I boarded one, and destroyed another, to get colect a thingy, that trigger a research that should have gave me BP for its equipment, but it did not because of a bug. 😐 Long story short, yes there are more, not sure if just the two.🤔

I don't think any Kha'ak ships are usable. As for xenon, google says that F, PE, SE, B, H are boardable. Well, apparently there is a bug atm, that prevents bailed S/M variants to be claimed, so only H for now. 🤔
@@ragnos28 Correct, non of the Khaak Ships are useable. Which makes sense once you realize Khaak are just 80cm Bugs that often don't even walk upright so piloting it would be ... problematic.

I'm missing some M shields, on engines and turrets ☹ Meh...I've finally figure out how to trigger the xenon research (getting away after blasting a H and collect the thingy, while the mother of all xenon forces were chasing me, was an adventure, lets call it that), but of course I only got about 3 modules, and none that I need it. 😐 At least it will be fixed in a future beta.
pure disappointment. stats are bad, 1 landing slot is bad, turret range is bad, 2 L turret count is bad, shield is bad, capital vs capital potantial is non-existent, this is not a destroyer. this is literally a LARGE MINER. it really is, when you look at cargo capacity and turrets' mining damage higher than actual damage. hell, it takes an eternity to let those drones land you make us sad egosoft.
It's for Miner's what the Barbarossa is for Traders. Not very effective in a Fight compared to other Destroyers but a nasty surprise for those that want to steal it's goods. It makes sense since this is MUCH closer to the original Terraformer Design than the other Cap Ships, it's not actually intended as a Combat Ship.
@Shear666 we don't want a xenon miner period. Drone carriers are not for mining either. This ship was a builder and terraformer in the past. Xenon modified it to become a warship. But it is only lackluster. No one will use it. No one uses 16 ship capacity paranid carrier. No one will use 28 ship capacity new argon carrier. No one will use a drone carrier that can not protect itself and can not land its drones in less than 30 minutes. Hell, it is even labeled as a destroyer. What a joke

This thing can fart out up to 70 Combat Drones pretty fast if you want which is a lot of Angry Bee to cut through and a lot less a pain to manage since it just "Go to the Dock and buy 70 more". The Landing thing is a Pain in the ass though I agree and I hope that get's fixed. And as mentioned it's like the Barbarossa in that regard. I do hope this is just a start and we get more Xenon ships down the Line with a stronger Combat Focus. Or at least more Turrets so we can switch out the current ones. And I disagree on the "Drones aren't for Mining" part. Pretty sure a L Miner without Mining Drones will be busy for a Long while ... though yeah 70 is unneeded especially with the low cargo hold. Also in all fairness the H is probably the easiest Ship to capture at the moment. I assume that gets fixed though.

The erlking is a 1 in a million superdreadnaught, of course everything is going to feel lesser. It's supposed to be the best thing that isn't an asgard that you can get.

It does! It can carry 70 Drones and has Universal Storage so you can just fill it with Mining Drones and watch it Stripmine.

Man the AA guns on the H seem like they barely do any damage to both hull and shield, cool vid though, I like these tests you do....helps out.

New Xenon ships spawn alongside old ones. The new models can bail and be taken, while the new capital ship can be boarded.

i put my 70 combat drones on escort. just took out a squad of 3 Ks with the H and 1 Behemoth E. The drones and the seismic charge melted their turrets
Yeah, the problem is the 15-20 minutes it takes for the drones to be retrieved with just 1 S landing pad. Bonus, OOS does not speed up the process.🤨
