My mama used to listen to this when she would take me to school in the morning. Or whatever we were doing. I miss her so much, but she loved listening to them.
Every morning in the very early 2000s, my mom and I would never miss tuning in to this show. It was a must as it would put us in a good mood to just laugh along. That carried over to me and my boyfriend (now husband) always listening to it going to work, and once we had our own kid, I’d listen to it with him on the way to taking him to school. He’d get a kick out of the Married Man skits. I don’t know if they still play this show anymore, tbh. I haven’t listened to standard radio in so long, but absolutely loved tuning in to JB&B. Edit: just checked, they’re still going strong! They even have a podcast.
They're hilarious, aren't they?!? What, with skits like this, Karl Childers, Gary......Busey(!), Ask Ike, and a whole "Football field" of other kinds of zany skits and stuff, you'll be laughing from sunrise to sunset...and even during the night! 😜🤪😜🤪😜!!
The first time I heard John boy and Billy I was heading back to Fort Carson Colorado and I laughed and laughed till I got out of range around Asheville North Carolina I wonder if they’re still doing the John boy and Billy show on the Fox they’re really good they’ve got to be old by now but I hope they’re doing well they were so hilarious
Yes they still do the show. I listen every weekday morning as I do my route on the fuel truck in my hometown. I catch them on a station out of Roanoke, Virginia.

@@chrisoakley5830These guys have been at it, since the 1980s, when it seemed like not very many people were listening. Now look at 'em: It's 2023, and they're STILL going strong! They've been at it for about 40 years, and yeah, they're gettin' kinda long-in-the-tooth, kinda like an ol' rabbit, or a beaver, or whatnot, but they're still fun to listen to. I love Wordy-Word! That's that cute lil' ol' show, where smart people, and those that ain't so smart, get on there, and go head-to-head, and rack up some of the absolute wackiest scores, you've ever heard of! All in all, they've managed to become legends in the field of Radio Comedy. They've come up with so many different characters and skits, that I lost count of them all, a long time ago!
First started listening to the JB&B Big Show in 1999 from KGMO out of Cape Girardeau. Been listening to it off & on since I left Paducah to return to Memphis. There's been a lot of changes but it's still funny as Hell.
I lived in Richmond Virginia I remember my Dad would Listen John Boy and Billy Big Show before we couldn't listen to it because I guess they cut the signal from Richmond Virginia to North Carolina
does anyone remember the commercial for rock101... where a guy gets hauled in to an opera house by his wife... nearly out of his mind with boredom- he sneaks an earbud of rock101 in & start listening. in no time.. .he's imagining the opera is actually a rock show- with the characters performing the zz top song he's listening to... at the creciendo, he forgets where he is & stands up, lights his lighter excitedly... "ROCK ON! YAHHH!!!" LMAO. I've searched all over the web trying to find it.
Once again Google reads my mind. I mean I did search for John boy and Billy but the fact that this came up in the top three right after I was humming the Spider-Man theme... I mean it's probably a coincidence, right? 🤔 Surf Wisely.

Me and my dad listened to this one day on our way to work when we worked at the same place. We died laughing from married man’s wife talking.

They once did a mini series where Married Man, Drinkin' Buddy and College Buddy went to LA with Ozzy Osborne. Good times!

Where can I listen to all of these lol???
This is so funny
I don't condone suicide or homicide, but I feel for Married Man 😂
super maxi ha ha
My hubby loves the skits where a guy crank calls funeral homes. Anyone know how I would look those up or the comedian’s name?
Willie P Richardson

You might laugh at this 😎❤️
Poor Married Man-He's more Hen-pecked than a Rooster!
What else can I say?!?!?
Oh, yeah: Glad I'm not him!!!
👍
How about an episode where married man gets a colonoscopy? A well known comedian screwed that up you could base it on their comedy.
😂
