Awesome stuff!! You probably know this but while using the poly line tool pressing the M key will toggle through different functions like straight line to 90° line to curve etc.. cheers..

At the beginning of step 4, why "Part" and not "Part Design"? This was an excellent lesson, I learned a lot.

I'm glad you found this tutorial helpful! The reason we used "Part" is that the "intersection" command, which was required in next step, is not available in "Part Design."

Great tutorial. One Suggestion: If the curvature display of the b-Splines annoy you, you can easily remove them through "Sketch", "Sketcher Visual", "Show / Hide B-Spline Information Layer", "Show / Hide Curvature Comb". I have enabled the "Sketcher Visual Toolbar" - then hide/show is only one (or two) clicks away: One click on the DNS Icon to toggle curvature display, or if it shows any of the other "information display toggle icons" for the "Show / Hide B-Spline Information Layer" function open the dropdown and select whatever display information you want to toggle (which for curvature is the DNS icon).

Hi, Very nice tutorial, I really like your videos. Just one thing to this model. In the last step when you use the command "thickness", the model gets hollow with respect to wall thickness. But a bicycle steering handle is a uniform tube. How to create a straight/curved hole in the part instead?

Hello, thank you! In that case you can use the command "Pocket" in "Part Design" workbench to cut out a uniform tube. If you are working in "Part" workbench then you can make a cylinder and then use the command "cut" to cut out the shape from the handle (make sure you first select the handle and then the cylinder to cut out from the handle).

Very good tutorial, but I think it would be even better if you explain why you use some lesser-known functions. For example, why would you use join connect instead of boolean union in those cases at the end?

That is a good question. Perhaps I will make a video on this to discuss the similarities and differences using examples.
