Did anyone else feel like this when they got Stellarlune???//kotlc

  • Ok, so I forgot to say this in my last vid (the theory one, just a heads up y’all are probably going to be reading about my theories for Stellarlune in the desc while I’m reading the book if you decide to read all this ranting), but I forgot to add that I also really want Keefe and Fitz to make up, because they did used to be the best of friends and I just really want them to get to that level again, because it’s so sad when two best friends who would protect each other start to separate because of a girl or boy. I’m not saying Sophie’s the problem, because she wasn’t trying like both of them, in fact she never actually even wanted to date either of them, even while she liked fitz all that time, but it’s still sad that their (Keefe and fitz) friendship is really unstable.
Also, (IF YOU HAVENT READ PAST CHAPTER 10 THEN THERE ARE A FEW SPOILERS!!!) I am really liking Glimmer/Rayni right now! Like, I get that a lot of people don’t, and I was kind of teeter tottering, I mostly just didn’t trust her, but like after the first meeting with her in Stellarlune she is on my good side! I love her because she adds new perspective to the group that they DESPERATELY need. She’s not scared to point out what’s right in front of everyone and I love that she’ll insult anyone. Like, I was ok with Stina and then she talked and I was like, “ok, you can go and dig a big hole and stay there...forever.” AH SHES SO ANNOYING!!! But I like Rayni because it’s not like she’s insulting them trying to be mean nessicarily, but more just to show them that they have no place judging other people as much as they are, because they’re doing the same things. Like when she pointed out that Stina’s parents are doing the same thing her parents did, so Stina couldn’t look down on Rayni, or when she told Fitz that he’s hurt not because he wasn’t invited to the storehouse burning, but because he want needed at it. I was so happy because it was like finally putting him in his place.
OH!!! And can we point out that Sophie is literally so freaking awesome!!! Like yeah, she could’ve handled that storehouse fire a little better, and I can see where her friends are coming from, but like, she’s being so confidant now! Like I see a lot of development from that little girl who kept trying to appease everyone with her solutions, and it’s so refreshing to finally see her mouthing the solutions that they have to make!!! Like, also when Fitz was like, “but you need me!” She straight up looked at him and was like, “no, not really.” And I get that she’s told him off before, but whenever she did she was always nervous and kind of scared, but this time she did NOT care what he thought, and it was so GOOD!
ok, that is it, sorry for any typos!

Okay, being honest, the way Glimmer talked to Fitz made me cry
Like, when she said, “Uh, your brother told me stories about your temper, too-and you didn’t even have a good excuse.” made me actually start crying and shaking because it hit too close to home with the experiences I have had.
When Fitz lashes out, it is due to trama building inside of him that he doesn’t know what to do with (and he has had A LOT of trama) and after recently rereading the series and overanalyzing everything he (and the others) said, I can’t help but just feel bad for the way he is treated
Fitz is my comfort character due to very similar ways of coping with trama, pushing pushing people away usually with anger (tho I will have to say that his anger is more intense and outward while mine is usually just saying “I know” over and over until everyone shuts up) which is why-for me-his coping mechanisms were just reduced to “anger” in book 5 and beyond and in book 8 “yeah lol he’s just angry” felt like a stab in the gut and hurt more than it should have
The difference between me and Fitz:
I get to have help, and a family that supports me, and a really amazing therapist, and friends who are patient with me while Fitz gets a family that suffers from generational trama (probably drilling in his head that he needs to be “a good Vacker” and be “perfect”), no one to talk to, and people surrounding him that ignore or brush off what he is doing (never a good thing)
The way Sophie talked about and to Fitz made me sad as well. Throughout the books it seems like he just wants to help her and be supportive (another reason I hate what Shannon did to Fitz in book 8) and just wants to be needed by her in some way
When she talked about how angry she was when he demanded the memories, I could definitely understand and definitely wasn’t happy with Fitz, but I also screamed at the book “HIS BEST FRIEND RAN AWAY!” Another traumatizing thing that is NOT healthy
And she was borderline rude to him in Glimmer’s room, and while I can see it being a total “girlboss” moment of putting him in his place, it just made me cry more lol (because again, it unearthed a personal experience that I had)
What Fitz has done is horrible and he needs to be put in his place, but not with one line that did more harm than good, not with Sophie being toxic right back at him (especially since he doesn’t know what he is doing-almost everyone who is toxic like he is doesn’t-I should know). It should go that:
Sophie talks to him openly about he is making her feel (with anger, determination, sadness-whatever! Just as long as it gets done) and illustrates what he is doing wrong and how he can do better and we all pray to God that he accepts and starts striving to be a better person. The change won’t be immediate, but it will be happening-
Sorry for the rant, but every scene with Fitz in this book has hurt me more than I would have liked it to and I am in pain that it feels like Shannon isn’t even trying with his character anymore
    I want my boy back!
He has done bad things and needs to have a long chat and strive to do better-come on guys! Toxic coping mechanisms are the worst-for everyone around and the person with them
Sorry for the long rant! I just felt the need to say that from my own personal experiences.

No, no, it was intriguing and very interesting to read! I notice that whenever I talk about Fitz I do seem to trash on him, and I’m not going to lie or try to deny that I won’t, because I know I will-it’s just gonna happen, but I do also feel bad for him. Like when Sophie and fitz broke up, I actually cried instead of getting angry at fitz, because it’s not like he didn’t like Sophie because she was unmatchable, he just felt really pressured probably. His whole life he’s been raised and taught that his family is very looked up to and that he would need to carry on their legacy, and in all the books (not Keeper wise) when there’s a relationship with a roadblock the couples are always like, “I wanna be with you baby! I don’t care about our stupid family legacy, love is more important!” And that’s great and all, but that’s not how it really works, which is one of the reasons I was greatful for the scene. To me it highlighted that even with love it’s still hard to give up all you know. Because he’s only known Sophie for a few years, while he’s been taught certain principals his whole life. I also feel bad for him because I feel like everyone feels bad for Sophie in this scene because she just went through her first break up, and yeah, that’s gotta be tough, but so did fitz! And along with anger being his defense mechanism to the trauma, it really makes my heart contort for him, because I feel like he would regect therapy because again Vackers are made out to be these all powerful family in the lost cities, and his dad almost went insane only a few years ago, and his brother turned evil, so it just puts more pressure on him to try his best not to ‘break’, and to be an example for his family. It can also be really scary to ask and admit that you need help, not only are you telling others, but your admitting it to yourself and it just seems to make it all the more real. I’m not saying that his anger is justified for all his actions, but it is to be said that he is going through hard times and it’s hard to try and keep it together. I really do hope he gets help in the end and starts to find more peace than anger

      @@noodledoodles629 You are a saint.
Honestly I am hoping that we get an entire scene like what happened in Encanto with Isabella in Mirabelle-I would pay to read Fitz sing a song about letting go while Biana and/or Keefe (not Sophie-this has to be either a sibling moment or a bro moment in my eyes lol) are like “I’m happy for you-BUT WHAT THE HECKS HAPPENING-“
Seriously tho, I really do hope that Fitz gets better. He makes me feel not so alone and I would die to see him happy

FINALLY, someone actually does a deep analysis based of physcologi and details.(not to mention relation to the character!) All the characters are so watered down like dex, stina ESPECIALLY FITZ, tbh fitz is easier to read/understand and, so far for me its fitz>keefe.

@@1224Judejuice Honestly, I havent seen so much double standard in a fandom in a while lol
Fitz and Keefe could do the exact same thing for the exact same reason and everyone will yell at Fitz and make excuses and say how much it was okay for Keefe to do it and it’s really sad
      Like…seriously, guys, what the heck?!
Not to mention a lot of people not understanding toxicity, abuse, trama, and manipulation to a certain degree when explaining these characters
And thank you so much for the compliment lol
