If Kaapo wants to be the back-up, he needs to stop those kind of shots that went in. Most of those goals that went in, would have been stopped by Hellebuyck or Brossoit.
The first and fourth MN Wild goals Kahkonen allowed were ugly via his 5-hole. As much as so many of his teammates in that game threw defense under the bus, he sure didn't make a good first impression with his new team.
Nice to see Vilardi working his magic on the ice again. I was also pleasantly surprised at how fast Yager is, and that he can battle and recover pucks on the boards. Barlow also clearly has a rocket of a shot. A lot of the puck management in the game was hard to watch though. Seemed like people were just throwing the puck away wildly or not expecting passes when they got one. Almost didn't look fun at times in the game. I guess players are still feeling out their roles so It'll be interesting to see who steps up.
Reminder to Self:🤔 Avoid evaluating goaltending during the preseason. Hold off on assessing veteran skaters until the final two games. Remember, preseason results don’t matter. Focus on evaluating the youth in the system early in the preseason-that’s where the excitement lies in these games.
@@SugarHillSleep When I think of goalies who have with Canadian NHL teams, from the 2019-20 season, played regular-season games and being sieves or otherwise inconsistent, I think of, during the season of: - 2021-22, Jaro Halak with the Canucks - 2022-23, Jack Campbell with the Oilers - 2023-24, then-respective Flames, Leafs and Sens goalies Dan Vladar, Ilya Samsonov and Joonas Korpisalo
@@Koersky The lineups for this weekend’s Jets-Oilers game should for each team be available within the next 2-3 hours of 1.20 p.m. Central Daylight Time Sunday.
Unfortunately yager and Barlow both aren’t moose eligible. Sucks because they aren’t nhl ready but don’t have much to gain in juniors. If they could go to the moose and have a season like lambert did last year they’d be much better off instead of lighting up the chl against a bunch of teenagers

I’m so sad, I was ready to see Heinola. He is so unlucky
Looking forward to a fresh game tomorrow

Get kakanen (idk his name) outta here. That goalie from the young stars would be better 100%
Reminds me of Pavelec

Sorry bud it’s one game, not the end of the world. And no Milic would not be better lmao, he probably needs 2 more years before he’s nhl ready

Im curious what you're basing this on since the game wasn't on in your area...
It’s pretty easy to pirate games
