It's crazy because some of them see the camera and know they're being recorded but still don't care... that makes it even scarier.
Considering how many get away with stuff, I'm not really surprised they are unaffected.

Why bother having an overpriced Ring Camera if you aren't going to use it to scare the nasty people away. Just yell at them and tell them the cops have been called or that if they don't leave you will be bustin' a cap in their azz. Even using an airhorn thru the speaker would work and would probably be pretty funny watching them freak out LOL.
I live out in the sticks and I get a notification from mine if even motion is detected. It had been pretty useless most of the time. Caught some deer sniffing around my deck and door, saw a bear on the deck once, and scared him away by yelling at him. A couple of wolves on the deck too. A Bald Eagle came and landed on the deck railing a few times, things like that.
But it did come in handy one time when some dude dragged himself a hundred yards to my deck from the road where he had gotten into a bad car accident at 4 a.m. I didn't know him but I knew his parents and he had enough presence of mind to know where he was and that my wife is an RN and I am an ER Doc. He lived, barely. Had I not known he was there until I woke up and went for a run in the morning at 6 a.m., he would have bled out. He couldn't get up to ring my bell because both of his legs were broken. He literally dragged himself up our dirt driveway from the road on his belly.

I'm a big guy at 6'7" 265 lbs and who works out 7 days a week with either weight training (bench over 500 lbs), cardio, and/or MMA training. As an ER Doc, I have come across several people all methed out. I was barely able to subdue them to prevent them from hurting someone or themselves.
I have literally had some guys on the floor in a submission hold that should have been so painful the average person would be screaming in pain and tapping out but these people are just frothing at the mouth and grunting as they are slowly breaking my grip as they are literally shredding the ligaments, tendons, and muscles in their arms. They literally are like the zombies on The Walking Dead.
Crazy and drugged-out people are very dangerous and should never be taken lightly. If some of these people got into the homes on the videos, it would be lights out for the homeowners unless they could run away or had a shotgun or AR-15 and used it to defend themselves.
I recommend people always have a brace system for their doors especially if they live in high crime areas. Door locks and Deadbolts are only there to keep the "honest" people "honest" and from breaking into your home. It won't stop a drugged-out maniac or someone looking to do you harm from getting in. Sure, they can break a window to get in, but that gives you plenty of time to either run out a back door or get your firearms ready. Like trying to destroy a zombie, always aim for the head lol.
Especially in this economy.

If only my mid-40s dad understands this, I keep telling him and he still does it. He's like the neighborhoods were safer back in the days but idgaf people nowadays are taking advantage of it and it isn't safe to just leave the door open. If he doesn't get that, then unfortunately some pos will get the opportunity one day.
@@cesarparedes6103 My friend who lives in a suburb of Minneapolis never used to lock his door. One night he felt someone crawling into bed with him. He said he could smell them before he saw them lol. It was a nasty dirty fat chick and he yelled at her to get out. Instead, she rolled over, farted a few times and fell asleep. He had to call the cops and they came and took her away.
He was more bummed out she wasn't a hot chick than the fact she came into his home and crawled into bed with him LOL. He started locking his doors after that LOL.

That last guy broke my heart but it's hard to have empathy for anyone who continues to stay on drugs after awhile. I hate drugs so much! If he really was having that breakdown it's heartbreaking...and I think he was.
I struggled with an addict for over 8 years. Sometimes they seem like the most amazing person but in the end that part of them dies...he was the most charming guy tho...funny, charismatic and talented...but the problem was I didn't know which part of him was real or fake...just trying to use me and others. I finally got to the point where I couldn't even have a reasonable conversation or time with him as a friend and I had to finally say goodbye...I hope and pray that he recovers from his addiction and gets his life back on track...I think a part of me will always love the person I first met...when he was still more of himself.
Your very sad story is, unfortunately, too common. My friend finally stopped using after 20-ish years but his brain had already been permanently damaged and he was never back to normal. So very heartbreaking 💔
Drugs can make your brain go dementia and eventually you'll die from that it's sad really..

I am so blessed: I live in a rural village of Missouri - population 441. This crap just doesn't happen here. Everyone knows everyone else. I don't have to lock my house or my car. Everything seems to just go quiet by 9pm. Young people don't want to live here because there is nothing to do. I WANT to live here for the same reason.

Iam honest to u, iam 5,4 . Full of anxiety. As a European it amazes me how all of these windows had no roller shutters and Strangers show randomly on your door up trying to break in. If iam at home alone at night, with no roller shutters at my windows. Easy to break them. I would really politely shoot all of them. At least politely in the leg but I would shoot them. Ain’t no way I could handle this. And oh I would have a electric wire. And probably a fat dog who growls. And his name would be Francis. And after he bite u in pieces he would try to dominate u and p im per ur shooted leg. No, seriously u guys need shutters. Kudos to your Ringcamera.
We didn’t used to have problems like this until the police stopped locking up the criminals and now they are just running wild in our city’s it’s not bad in the rural areas because we all have our second amendment and we will absolutely use it.
