I live on Soco Road just about a block from the parking lot and A-Frame. This is a great recreation. So sad to see the mountain with no chairlift. It's never coming back now that the court case is over.
I would love to see this place open again,it’s missed so much and I would definitely love to hit up the free moonshine tasting that would be awesome.!!! And to get to see the old gunfight’s again and the can-can girl’s dancing again also that would be great.!!!
I always enjoy your videos, and once again you've created an awesome recreation of Ghost Town! Thanks very much for making and sharing this! I do hope Ghost Town does reopen someday.
I was once hopeful but now don't believe it will ever open back up. Kind of like those who wish Opryland would build back but keep on dreaming. That'll never happen either. Neither park would ever be the same as we remembered. Plus, with no one wanting to work, where would you ever find enough employees to work either park?
When, I was a kid went down to the Smokies we about went there every year. Was so, disappointed that, this is one place, I never got to take my kids. At the time we were told by lady, that they were looking at fixing it up and reopening it, but, apparently they never did. Yes, apparently it was much cheaper than Opryland and Silver Dollar City, when, in the first several yrs it was where DollyWood is now. I know Silver Dollar City wasn’t as big as Opryland, but, it was still quite expensive and, at the time when, they first opened it, they only had one place to eat, other than the candy shops and, a place to get ice cream, I think there might have been a place to go get snow cones, not sure.
There’s a video out there that, I watched not too long ago that tells why the owner didn’t reopen it or partner up with Disney. There were major issues with water lines and such. Then, Disney wanted to turn it to something she didn’t want. They wanted to turn into something religious.
Exactly. Disney never had anything to do with it either. Just some retired designers from there who formed a company called "Storybook" something or other.
I so wish Dolly Parton would purchase this park and bring it back to its glory years…..

Dolly should save this place and redo Frontier Land also. She's got the money! Dollies Ghost Town in the Sky and Frontier Land! 🙏🏻

I remember the fastest Spyder I ever rode. Slinging out over the mountain. All the rides seem to go at max speed.
Very nice!
Love East Tn and love running these roads. Keep it up, man. Very enjoyable.

It's not reopening . I live 20 minutes away
Still sitting there dead, like the last twenty years. Multiple promises, zero completion.

@@sonyafox3271 The late owner Alaska Presley is the one that wanted to turn it into a religious theme park..

When’s it opening?
We had one in WNC loved it !
Who or where does it say it is reopening?
I think this is a wishful thinking video unfortunately
Nice recreation! You gonna upload it sometime?
