It bring back memories! Was a knight at CA castle for over 11 years. Miss performing and my long hair. (LOL) On this video I am the blond knight wearing black & white tunic and also the green tunic. My favorite thing about this job was the falling from horseback at full gallop during the jousting. It was alway a rush everytime I did esp. at CA castle cuz the arena is so short compare to the other castles.
james magill I felt that the Buena Park is better than the other castles besides the Kissimmee Florida castle. The new "castles" such as the one in Lawrenceville GA and the one in Maryland looked small. They built them in malls to cut costs. The Schaumburg Il castle looks the largest. That place looks huge. The FL and the CA castles are the original castles. I'll tell you a little history if you may not know. The CA castle was not built from the ground up. The founder and his investors bought it from a forclosure sale in 1985 and renovated it since it was less expensive than building a new castle. The building was called Kingdom of the Dancing Stallions (KDS). What happened was the show was not very sucessful and the owner suffered Alzheimer's disease. Which closed in 1982. Before the name "Medieval Times" was chosen The founders thought about using the name "El Cid" Or ("A Dinner Theatre Inside a Castle"). They certainly would not have been sucessful if they have used those names.
james magill -Chicago Castle Knight here. and yes I still miss it. Been 2yrs since I left. Worked there for 4yrs. I still remember each fight move by move. They get drilled in to your head hahaha. I do miss it. ALOT!
Most people cannot appreciate a majestic place like this, however I am far more than a normal person, as English blood flows through my veins! As I am honored to be a humble guest of His High Majesty and as knights from noble realms fight with steel and steed to win the heart of a glorious princess, fight well knights for His Majesty will not let the Princess go with such ease, prove to the King that you're are worthy of his trust and of his daughter's love, and as I feast and watch brave knights battle I look forward to the day where I am again a guest of His Majesty and can once again bear witness to all the beauty and glory that is the Baltimore Castle, long may it reign over these lands!
I may not have been born from England's soil. But since the days of my youth, tales of knights and kings have long enchanted me. In recent years, I have striven to shape myself into a spiritually strong man; as described through the virtues of chivalry. For this age lacks certain elements that olde England once possessed. Strong and wise leaders, virtuous heroes and sound moral virtue. Least of all, that is what I believe in
+sadlobster1 This land lacks the same feelings of ye olde England my friend, for many folk simply laugh and make fun of the words that we speak. His Majesty has let us be guests of his in his Kingdom, lest we must return again, for it is through us that the word of such a glorious castle filled with great knights of chivalry, courage, valor and honor shall be spread throughout the land! May your next visit to His Majesty's realm be as fulfilling as your last, so full of a feast of epic proportions, as we watch our beloved Baltimore castle claim victory once again over its conquerors!
I always wanted to go there ever since I was a kid. Can a single person go by himself? I would love to get a Kings Royalty seat and get a beer mug and drink lots of beer. I'll be taking NJ Transit bus 199 so I can drink freely. I love to be treated as a king for couple hours.
yes lots of people go alone. I went there in july. you get to take pictures when you enter. (included in king's royalty package) and you are GUARANTEED first or second row. the first is the best because nobody is in your way. you get a flag, but can get a better one for 8$. it might be diffrent were you live but I went to the one in Chicago
We went there last month for my sons birthday an d it was awesome!! This is our vide please check it out! Food Review: Lyndhurst, NJ - Medieval Time + Bloopers!
Really? How interesting... The first time I came to _Medieval Times_, it involved the prince perishing in battle and one of the six knights fought to become champion, only to reveal the Lord Marshal betray and kill the champion, then fight a warrior whom the princess requested to be spared. The last time, the green knight was the enemy in the story, and I remember very little else beyond that. What is the story now?
Tyler Blush They have had 2 shows with a prince. This show which ran from I think 2003 to 2008 and another show (which had the prince being kidnapped by the green knight) which was from 2008 to 2012. The prince doesn't die in the other show.
A 93Alberts They are about to change it but the current show is about this guy called the "Northman" who wants to present a "gift" to the king which is basically kidnapping his daughter (the princess) and this guy threatens the king throughout the show and it's pretty awesome.

+james magill How long ago was this video? I read there were a lot of relations going on between the knights, princesses, and wenches LOL
+Liz Nguyen Luu This show was around 2002 to around 2005 or 2006 I believe. And were the relations at the Buena Park castle in California? hahaha
james magill -Chicago Castle Knight here. and yes I still miss it. Been 2yrs since I left. Worked there for 4yrs. I still remember each fight move by move. They get drilled in to your head hahaha. I do miss it. ALOT!
