Jamal, I have to watch what I eat and drink too. You might try some applesauce, unsweetened, mixed with water. Also I let lemon, cucumbers and an orange soak in cold water. It may be sweet enough for them to drink it. Of course I use honey and stevia also to sweeten a little. Sometimes I use artificial sweetener but I don’t think that’s healthy. I also use raisins and banana to sweeten my oats and honey. I don’t know if JK can have that. But it’s some of what I use. Hope this helps. Love the JK Family and wish you well.💛🧡

Q: My question is very simple, why don’t you feed them only with their natural foods like vegetables, fruits and water? Why do you give them foods and drinks rich on sugar and salt? Does any monkey really need milk, candies, pizza, noodles, sugar drinks an so on? Thank you.
No, monkeys are prone to get diabetes because of this. People own them and don't feed them properly. Then cry after their monkey has it. You never feed them bread, pasta, white rice, and anything with sodium. They don't need anything cooked. They will even eat raw meat. We always boiled the meat for ours, and cook their eggs too. No salt or pepper. They loved over easy eggs the most. All fruit and vegetables should be fresh. It's not that hard. People just want them to eat what they eat, taking the easy route. Yes, you may eat it but it's not good for you so its definitely not good for them. Monkey's get diabetes the same as we do, if not easier.

Sorry to hear JK has diabetes. I have it and it sucks. Do you have to give him insulin? Eggs raw vegetables ( no potatoes or starchy veg like corn winter squashes). Zucchini,summer squash,peppers,‘watermelon apples. I hope he adapts to his new diet. Good luck
