You lose fingers in a lot of horror games because they are, by nature of video games, always close at mind, and are very sensitive due to the density of nerves that run through them to help do shit with your hands
It's also a small limb that you can easily lose and have pretty much little to no problems. If your character were to lose a hand or their leg in the game it'd change the whole way the game plays out

That's just part of being a streamer, balancing interaction and gameplay. Same with pacing of gameplay. He rushed through the game for it being his first playthrough. Finishing at least an hour ahead of time. Longplay is the genre of content creators that focus on the game. Many of which don't speak or have a face cam since they're not entertainers.
