Writing a comment to stop myself from stopping this video, adding to a "watch later" list and continue scrolling the youtube.
"I am waiting when my slave comes to me, I am myself near".
Firstly, it's not if but when.
Secondly, "me" especially close connection to Allah SWT.
Thirdly, "I am here", I will respond to your myself.
Fourthly,
"I will respond to the caller".
Notice, it's a "caller", not necessarily a " believer, righteous, Muslim", it's just anybody who calls upon the Greatest.
Also, as you know there's a difference a person and the person. Likewise, Allah says "the caller" instead of "a caller" as if He knows us personally. Available at any time to any person.
Friendly reminder: don't recite dua mindlessly, it's a conversation where you speak in a language you can understand and mean your words.
"But they should try to respond to me as well". MashAllah it's so..I don't know heart wrenching to me. Allah says not "should respond", but "try to respond". Allah asks us to persist and put our complete trust in Him.
There's a sort of "secret" of Islam. Or heart of our religion: The dua is a key, our communication, connection to Allah, awareness of Allah's fairness, closeness, and knowing that He is always listening, understanding us and planning the best for us because He loves us in a way we could never love ourselves. All of this makes our path to righteousness easier.
An important thing to note is communication is a two-way port: we are advised to not only talk, but also listen and comply.
