Yes. Some of these loops are 64 measures long (especially the Latin) so you do not 'hear' the repetitiveness as you play along with the arranger. Also remember you can use Midifiles for even more complex structures and control/edit them in real time.
The FS6 and FS13 Programmable pedals will work on the KETRON (Start/stop, fill in, break, ending 1-3 etc). The Midi K8 Pedal board will work with other brand units.
Reach out to us as soon as you can at ajaminc@gmail.com so we offer you 2 of our left-over Christmas sale units (if they are still available when you call)!

@@AjamSonic thank you for the reply I'm in Ireland. So I will most likely buy there. All the styles I need would be the quick step. Waltz. Foxtrot. Slow waltz. Polka.
You want us to believe that it took Ketron until now to “REALISE ” what we wanted/needed! UNBELIEVABLE 🙈🙈🙈 These styles should be provided as a free upgrade ! I still get guys contacting me to convert their old MS50 styles to use on their SD7’s ..... I don’t think you’d need to be a brain surgeon to work out why!
Yes... Bass pedals control chord changes/tonaility. The other pedal above the bass pedal (FS6) is a switch programmable pedal for start/stop. fill/break, intro/ending, scroll up/down, mute drum parts, scroll through favorit voice/style list ...etc.
The main issue with this brand is that any device is way too expensive and also hard to find used units. Many years ago, back maybe around 2005, I started dreaming and looking for the Audya, thinking maybe some day it will become affordable due new models coming up. Until this days is not near of my possibilities. Instead, I ended purchasing first a Korg Triton Rack, second a Korg Radias and third a Korg M3 73, without even spent any close to the price of the Audya. I'm very happy with this setup for my own entertainment an pleasure, without getting bankrupt.
Understood. There are of course cheaper brands - but there is an old saying, you get what you pay for. KETRON instruments are high-end instruments for those seeking Live Best Natural Sounds. Other brands offer great Synth Sounds ...etc but each is unique and excels in their own way.
@@AjamSonic I don't think that Korgs are cheap keyboards and appart from the Radias that is a synth, the M3 have very good sounds. I guess the issue of Ketron prices is their rarity. Which music store sells them?. Sam Ash, Sweetwater, Zzounds, B & H?. Also seems that all the keyboards are arrangers, not workstations. I guess this is also why their are rare, not all musicians are live performers. Also I watched a comparison Sd9/ PA4x, that I guess are in the same segment, there's nothing that tells me that Ketron's sound is way better. Don't know about Yamahas or Rolands on the same category.
I don't know, who told me, that it would be impossible, to have a cue/click track on a seperate output, but the SD 40 can. So I think, I can accomp songs, where I have no reason to vary, by using a multitrack file and for more or less spontanious songs, I use the styles.
Yes - they work for all products (simply select which product you want styles for and inlcude your serial number in your order). You explain the sd 40 pretty well, all Ketron's are excellent but your demo does not impress on harmony.its sounds Ill, Ill stick with the SD5 for natural sound. no frills or gimmicks.. Its important to hear an instrument played and expressed just as it is, The Ketron sadly are out priced, and heavy...
Thanks for your feedback. This instrument is played and expressed just as it is. Some say it is too good to be true due to the quality of the instrument. Others have different opinions. There are arranger keyboards that cost about $5,000.00 USD, which many are comfortable buying. Some cannot afford and that is why not everyone drives a Mercedes - some can afford but don't like the way it rides and so they buy Lexus/Toyota. Each product shines in one or two fields and not others - the question only you can answer is ... do KETRON products meet your needs and will it make you sound better? If no, do not get a KETRON. You won't be happy with it no matter how someone demos the harmony.
OMG. A Casio MG-510. Nice to see a 35 year old midi guitar still being used with some state of the art equipment.
At that time, the synth world was not ready for Midi Guitars. Now, KETRON is .
Thankyou for Sharing your Demonstration
More to come ...
a lot of stuff to play! hehe, great one!
Thanks ...
Congratulations on a really fine video young man. really informative and well presented. So helpful too. Regards from UK
Thank you. Here we are live:- th-cam.com/video/aypaWapyg0c/w-d-xo.html
I was today old to learn dry on stop... just added it to my ketron. see we always have to keep learning. now I don't need talk on my foot pedal woohoo
:-)
Hello AJam Its been long time I am back to listen to Ketron I subscribed to your channel again us see what we can learn together .
Welcome back!
Awesome
Thanks.
Hello How do you set up the K8 so that you can control the chords and would that also work with the MS 40???
Tanks....
This is done in the Module. Got to MENU - Midi - Standard - RX and set LEFT = 2.
does it have a vocal pitch corrector?
Yes it does.
Great video. Could this technology be used along with jazz, bossa, boleros, latino music, which don't have repetitive patterns?
Yes. Some of these loops are 64 measures long (especially the Latin) so you do not 'hear' the repetitiveness as you play along with the arranger. Also remember you can use Midifiles for even more complex structures and control/edit them in real time.
will that pedal work for any arranger keyboard?
Yes (the bass pedals that is).
The FS6 and FS13 Programmable pedals will work on the KETRON (Start/stop, fill in, break, ending 1-3 etc). The Midi K8 Pedal board will work with other brand units.
only for start stop ? not for changing cords on the fly?
Best demo I have found so far! the problem is the price... aren't there any other engines on a cheaper price tag?. Thankyou!!!
Reach out to us as soon as you can at ajaminc@gmail.com so we offer you 2 of our left-over Christmas sale units (if they are still available when you call)!
how do you fix minor and seven chords ?
You can use the FS6 or FS13 Programmable Effects pedal and program pedals for minor and 7th chords.
Can you give me a detailed way to hookup Ketron K8 bass pedals to a Yamaha PSRS910 kEYBOARD ,I did know at one time, but am older now and forgot how.
Connect midi cable from KETRON K8 into Yamaha Midi in. On YAMAHA, go to FUNCTION - MIDI - Channel RX and set LEFT= 2
Will the internal style editor (creating new styles from scratch without PC) functionality of the SD90 arrive in the the SD40 as well?
Already exists in the SD40 as of the latest software 1.4.1. Please update your SD40 with this. Please subscribe to the channel and get notified whenever we go live (as will be the case tomorrow).
@@AjamSonic Thank you! That is a great feature.
Is there waltz time beat on this machine
Yes. 4 with the standard unit and 12 with the AjamSonic upgrade kit installed.

Valid point there my friend :-)
So I'm guessing your using two sets of pedals here and not just the bass pedals as you suggested.?

Can we use wav. drum or percussion loops to make custom styles in SD40?
No. Only SD90 and Audya 4.

How can you do minor? Or would it be possible to define a key, so in case of C major the D E A will be minor?
Either using both feet .. or the programmabe pedal for tonalities (min, 7th, Dim ...etc).

Bee Gees did a concert and said, they have good reason not to sing "Woman In Love"
About female songs, I play these as instrumental
Forget about singing country 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
