Yeah, I’m looking at Mazatlan and the package with flight for two and RUI all inclusive was really inexpensive. When I went to Cabo last September, I rented a car for $250 for the week…yeah, it was MUCH cheaper and convenient for us to get around. We drove to La Paz, etc. for the amount of traveling around, we saved a ton on local travel.
Jordan, from watching your last vid, I thought you might be up for saving some plata. Why vacation in Cancún???!!!!!!! An airbnb in Crucecita(Huatulco) is much nicer and a huge savings! PS. Cacaluta is the best pristine beach there.
Hey Jordan, congrats on your wedding. Hadn’t followed your videos for a bit. Mexico hasn’t been on my radar since the end of my own honeymoon in 2022, anyhow I searched for you guys here on TH-cam and ran into some cringey person obsessed with trolling your channel. Whose that person? Why are they stalking you two. Sorry, but unexpectedly went down a rabbit hole of all their conspiracy theories thinking, this isn’t healthy. This person might be dangerous.
The person is kind of cringey, I agree. It looks like a fellow you tuber, and the you tuber community there in Queretaro seems pretty close and tight. It has been a wild educational ride watching all these videos and seeing what Queretaro has turned into, and the kind of expats it now has, compared to how it was when I was there before the dawn of the internet or You Tube in the 80s . Like ancient times, I guess. :D. But it has been wildly educational to see that the primary, main source of income for many of these expats is their You Tube channels. That is what is making all of this so intense. They can't just go back to their lives and mind their business when their whole lives have been dedicated to You Tube. It is a lot like the Reality TV type of syndrome some families experience, and it can destroy their families. Remember John and Kate plus 8? How about the Duggars, 19 kids and counting? Or the Kardashians.? The only new twist is that since all this is done asynchronously, with avatars, FB or You Tube accounts, it could actually be more than one person operating that account that is meant to look like only one person. I don't think I would want to be a You Tuber in Queretaro. In the end, I think too much public viewing of private lives can really mess people's lives up. And then you wonder if the money was worth it in the end.
Ney Jordan, can I ask you a question. Im flying into QRO on 2 Jan and my immigrations gestores is going to have a driver pick me up (im assuming Uber or Didi, but im not sure). She asked if I would be ok with paying the tip to the driver. I asked what she thought would be reasonable tip: 200 pesos. After i got off thephine i did the math : She wants me to pay almost a US 12 tip to a driver?? Huh?? How much is a uber/didi/taxi cost from QRO airport to centro??
US sunscreens are using very old "technology". They have discovered many ingredients that filter the suns rays more effectively but since sunscreen in the US is regulated as a drug and not as a cosmetic, the companies have to go through very long and expensive processes with the FDA to get any new ingredients approved for sale in the US. Because of this, in most places in the world you can buy higher quality sunscreens than you can in the US.
@@TangerineTravels Good to know Jordan, thanks for the response. I live in the desert here in the US, I wonder, maybe I can import some better-quality sunscreen even before traveling.
16. Be ready to be bombarded by people wanting you to buy something literally everywhere you go. Sometimes "friends" might want you to buy something from them too or tip them. You're going to pay EVERY little thing you get here in Mexico.
I'm surprised you didn't mention that tipping in anything other than pesos is just creating another job for that person IMHO (now they have to change it). Its just being considerate, they work hard enough already!

I'm a heavy smoker mainly for health reasons. I never had a problem bringing Smokes into Mexico

about 35 dollar trip I think
Is Apple Pay widely available?
No, it's pretty rare acutally
What do you mean by better "quality" sunscreen ? Higher SPF ?

@@TangerineTravelsSo Jordan, these "higher quality" ingredients aren't regulated? 😳
@@gerry9306there are still regulatory bodies and consumer protection agencies in other countries.
@@TangerineTravels well, I guess the UK, Canada, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland would be trustworthy
Jordan I thought you couldn’t smoke in Mexico anymore?
i have status with Choice Hotels.

I have friends who work at the resorts and they’re perfectly happy getting tipped in dollars. They just spend them at local stores and restaurants
Who do I rent a car with
Somebody said Yes Cancun Car rentals in the thread above.
Not my problem, you wonder why mexico is getting expensive, it's the fringo effect we over pay on everything so the residents suffer wage deflation.
