I think I get Dom's point of the outro drowning the vocals but honestly I really liked the final demo outro; i wish they kept the progression and ended the song on the root note. The outro really reminds me of tame impala's 'let it happen' so that might be another reason why they removed it.
It's so satisfying to see the deconstruction of my favourite songs, seeing the individual elements and the process (even though I don't understand half the things you're saying cause I'm not a musician) behind what made the song unique in the first place makes me fall in love with the song all over again. Thank you for making this video!

The slight difference in the ending really did change the mood of the entire song, as well as the slight alteration in the lyrics. It was really cool when Conor sang "fading so slowly" and then the instrumental dropped off was *chefs kiss*

This is exactly what I have been searching for. I loved this, appart from loving nothing but thieves I realized that it is hard to find these kind of videos from rock band and such. I find alot of both metal and pop ones but modern indie rock project videos or what to say is pretty rare.
These kinds of things just blow my mind, a band sharing their work process and production is the dream for us musicians. I hope you can keep doing this because it is seriously very fucken much appreciated!!
