It passes from generation to generation. I'm playing a Ludwig kit because I saw the guy from Brontide playing one in their "Sans Souci" session. Although, mine is one of those Taiwanese built Centennial Moto kits with the 24" kick, 16" / 18" floor toms, 13" rack tom that do not seem to want to stay in tune lolol
So, if there was no licensing agreement then why did Ivor Arbiter, the owner of the shop where Ringo bought his first Ludwig kit, get to redesign the Beatles logo emphasizing the word Beat with the drop 'T'?
Still have my 1967 Black Oyster Pearl kit...Thank You Ringo!
Thank God for Ludwig drums! Everything else is just noise... ✌ Peace bros!

I have a set of 1965 silver sparkle that are dated 1 month younger than me.

Ringo got no monetary benefit from all the Ludwig sales.
He could have learnt a lot from Buddy Rich, regarding endorsements…
perhaps the beatlemania craze rightfully prioritized itself above and beyond endorsements...
afaik epstein had a no-endorsements policy
