I am so happy for her. She made the gravitational waves sound so simple and exciting. I admire her discussion. She has the energy and the enthusiasm, way to go.. she deserves a Nobel Prize, she's one of my favorites.
I like what Dr Ghez said about swimming and it being a way to get away from technology and to allow oneself to block out noise and distractions. I don’t swim regularly, but I do love gardening, because it likewise allows you to shed the burden of deadlines and just be at peace - whether that means you can contemplate sophisticated topics as Dr Ghez does, or just that you clear your head of stress and allow yourself to approach the problem afterwards in a level-headed manner. Obviously, I am not comparing myself to such a distinguished person but I will say, as a student of mechanical engineering, I can relate to and admire this desire to detox, to achieve a higher clarity of thought and approach problems in a systematic distraction-free manner.
I really grateful that you are making and sharing videos, so we can have this connection and inspiration from scientists. My eyes is full of joy and excitement. I wish that one day I will have something to be proud of and share with humanity, and be inspiration for young generation, as this lady - for me 🤍
