its political game to levee more money from center. The expense they make to rebuild roads, same if sepend after deepening rivers would stop damage of minimume 50% . And at least will not creat cetostrafy for 5years.
Yes riverbed deepening is important, they have become flat where the slope is not that much steef and that's where water spread more and widened the riverbed.

Cutting down trees clearing forest and cutting down mountain buildings three four floors buildings,hotels near river banks on the fragile mountain soil, blasting mountain for road and commercial development.so much commercialization and destruction of mountain ecological balance happening in name of development.how much can mountain and nature take. this was bound to happen if we dustrurb and destroy natural environment .Moreover, due to gobel warming weather is also changing in the Indian subcontinent.If the government and people still don't understand this matter and preserve the natural environment more destruction and loss of life will happen in coming years.

देवी देवताओं ने शांति से रहने के लिए पहाड़ों को चुना था लेकिन इन्सान प्रकृति के साथ बहुत ज्यादा छेड़छाड़ कर रहा है जिसका परिणाम अब हमें भुगतना पड़ रहा है।
