Hey Ddog new game idea.
You choose a Heli, any heli you want and you pick up an ATV on it, then you make a dart board target on the map, then you try and slingshot the ATV and try to land as it as close to the bulls eye possible.
You can refine it with your own rules and score basing, it might be fun and hilarious seeing you, upchuk, and the others competing for bragging rights.

Matt Holm All of it is free, except for the two helicopters and some of the single player stuff, you can still get in them as passenger, but not fly them.
This opens up so many possibilities, I.E. Manned gunboats being flown over a battlefield, hot extract, new games like bullseye, this is going to be EPIC!!
I wish they would come out with a skin for the little bird that looked like TC's chopper from Magnum PI..lol

dude you could do some tac inserts with scuba gear and those mini subs, attach to the bottom of a stealth chopper and drop in like that... so dirty

Reminds me of the time I made a horizontal landing an an Apache in ArmA II after having my tail rotor completely shot off.
Can you please do like a couple episodes on like building bases and fighting like you used to. Those were the best videos you made I loved them. Love the vids, keep up the good work!

helpful information for all who were reading the chat conversation in this vid.... YOU DON'T NEED THE DLC FOR ANYTHING OTHER THEN TO WASTE 15 BUCKS... you can still operate the helicopters and use ALL the features... although MINOR advertisements may ensue for SOME uses of DLC content and the only noticeably annoying adds will happen when you stay inside one of the 2 dlc helicopters for an extended period of time.
and yea... things they said they were gonna put in the game later through DLC should be free.. as opposed to getting out hopes us and then telling us we have to pay the games price over again 3 times for this dlc (steam sales.. and the games price si dropping faster then the dlc without them anyway.)

That submarine looked like a bomb, if you put explosive charges on it then you could really turn it into a bomb, especially if you get charges from a mod that blow up like crazy or something. idk
Now just imagine the missions they could do now. I night time heli flight with a hooked sub and they fly over the ocean and drop a full submarine which then dives as it heads toward an island with a military base etc. Or bank robberies that'll go a lot smoother as they can tow the getaway car without them having to leave.
do DDG is the dlc worth buying for arma 3 or should people wait and that landing was epic and very good i hope to see some dcs videos again soon

Do you have to buy the Helicopter DLC to be able to pick things up using the ropes? I tried it with a few friends in Altis life using the Mohawk and the apparent "B for rope interaction" but nothing happened
now you have a quick way to do a beach assault and your pilot doesn't become much more of a target...

Cause it doesnt seem so.
Why not read the update? You also can't really watch the difference in flight physics, you have to fly a bird in the original flight model, and then in the new "advanced" flight model to really see/feel the difference.
I see a lot of potential for mischief in Arma Life with this.
Are there any tanks or armed vehicles? Would be epic if you picked one of those up and fired it in mid air.

Imagine a group of people in let's say altis life. one is driving down the road and the other is chasing with the heli. the heli is attatching while the vehicle is moving. THAT would be cool
they need this in Arma 3 Life! Think about robbing the bank with the helicopter but picking up the whole safe and flying it out! or stealing Lamborghini's while they are parked!

imagine a MSO or some tactical mission where a heli sling the sub into enemy waters and launches it into a area so that no one knows its there thats some high speed shit.

Multiplayer is insane, the community is rather large, the amount of mods available is insane too. Oh and the map sizes are insane!

Does SLG on the helicopter status stand for the sling, meaning it can be damaged? Because if so then that's fucking cool.

You should get the heli at 3:18 and a small boat and hover just above the water and see If you can get the boat in the heli
So what's the true opinion on the DLC and update? I guess the fact you can ride the ATV's while lifted would answer the question of being able to fire the Hunter GMG/HMG whilst lifted aswell.
Yes if the Hunter is sling loadable, in the devbranch prior to the release you could not load Hunters, but the Speedboat HMG was fire able from being sling loaded though impractical

Attach an LAV (if possible) and use the LAV's cannons while flying.
Is the sling and advanced flight model part of the pay DLC or is it patched in for free? Just thinking that should have been in the base game. At least the sling loading should have been.

So $15 for a few ugly clunky helicopters? I just flew them in the editor and they're not impressive, at all..The one thing that's nice is being able to try them out before buying. Good for me but bad for BI cause I 'll have to pass on this one.

Devil have you tried driving vehicles into the back of the futuristic chinook and you could do some cool insertions and extractions using this
The back of the Huron aka chinook is block by an invisible wall. Therefore, you can try to load a vehicle in the back, however you'll blow both people up..

It also would have been a nice feature to have passengers only be able to enter by walking up the back instead of just walking to the side, having to open that back for passengers would have really improved the immersion.
