Fierce Diety Link needs his own game. At some point in time within the timelines, there had to be an incarnation of Link who was given these dark powers and became the true fierce diety. The mask was just imbued with his power. Fierce diety Link's story needs to be told :o
Hell maybe all Link’s are the reincarnations of the Fierce Deity, you never know.
Think he should be the origin link like demise is the origin Ganon. Would make sense if he was a God clashed with demise and got banishes as well.
Fierce deities story is to be a powerful Knight who meets 'majora' a dragon which was sought after by many people who wanted its skin. The dragon devoured everyone attempting to see it, another thing is it was a super lonely lone where he was located and unable to die to normal causes. Fierce deity comes along and the dragon tells him he wants to die, fierce deity plays the song of time for 3 days and the dragon falls asleep and eventually dies. But I believe its from the manga that's none canone, yet explains the sheer power of majora

My biggest disapointement yet is that Fierce Deity wasn't mentionned in Skyward Sword, which would've been the perfect timing. My first guess was that Hylia may have had something to do with it before she reincarnated in Zelda but the fact that its said the mask contains all the memories of all the people in Termina really makes it difficult to link it with anything that happened in Hyrule. To me it's clear that if this entity had anything to do with Link's incarnation, it would've been mentionned in Skyward Sword.
I feel the Sheikah Slate should’ve gotten an honorable mention, just because of how versatile it is. It summons bombs, a motorcycle, can freeze objects in time, create ice pillars out of water, and control metallic objects.
Now that I think of it its also your armory of all the weapons you carry

I’m surprised you didn’t consider the cuccos...those bastards don’t break, or run out of effectiveness and can take on anything. And mind you, they can be used as a weapon. Not to mention they’re an actual weapon you can use from the beginning of the game to the end...not like some of your listed weapons which are mainly end game novelties.

Everything is an “item”...even you if used correctly.
They can't be pocketed, though, unless you're the Villager or Isabelle. Even then, they can't be used against the major bosses, not even Calamity Ganon.

I remember originally being confused by my friends complaining about the Majora fight because I thought collecting all the masks was required and did so on my initial play through. I didn’t know the Fierce Deity’s mask was optional for the longest time.

Emma Newgate Conveniently, it has a beam of light where it will land. While that has nothing to do with the laws of physics, at least the beam of light tells you where to put it. But wait, what if it’s sunny?
The Guardian Potion + from Skyward Sword is pretty damn strong. Full invincibility even against Demise for *3 full minutes,* which is increased to 6 minutes when using the Potion Medal.

Some advice for anyone who is trying to build up a TH-cam channel:
1) Never speak like a news anchor, it's just a recipe for cringe.
2) Never speak like a news anchor if you don't even know how to in the first place, or you'll end up sounding like this ZeldaMaster fellow.
He may have a following, but people don't make the comments that they do for no reason, the complaints have merit. Dr. Wily is another example, it has nothing to do with accents. Zeltik has an accent, and his speech patterns and inflections are perfectly natural-sounding, but people like ZeldaMaster and Dr. Wily flat out refuse to learn from the criticism to try and better their narration. I guarantee you their followings suffer from this

The Fierce Deity Mask was really something else. I was told it was in the game the very first time I played Majora's Mask (when it was first released), and so I strove to get it before fighting the final boss. To this day, I've never actually faced Majora's Mask without it, so I have no idea how hard that fight is supposed to be.

Also, another interesting detail with the Fierce Deity Mask is that it acts as an invisible layer of double defense due to beta fragments of code for a scrapped Great Fairy cutscene where she trains Link to become stronger and tougher. The end result of the cutscene has Link transforming to the Fierce Deity and receiving the double defense upgrade, but I believe this is from a point where they initially wanted to implement the adult Link form as the double defense upgrade, but due to the original form being repurposed into the Fierce Deity form, it now features not only godly strength, but godly immortality.
i remember when i got the fierce deity’s mask for the first time, i was so shocked that the boss fight literally took me a minute to beat
I had a theory about The Fierce Deity Mask: The mask itself holds all of the power gained from each individual incarnation
of Link before the events of Majora's Mask. The mask acts as a cleansing cycle for Link's spirit:
Every time Link dies, his spirit transfers all power and experience gained from that lifetime into the mask before
being reincarnated into the next physical body for the spirit to start anew.
The mask holds onto this power, growing stronger as the eons pass,
but Link cannot access this power until he finds the physical mask.
Since the mask is the spirit of the original Link (Hylia's Guardian), Link's spirit is tied to the mask for eternity.
It is, in essence, Link's true form and power.

Alexa Carmack I hadn’t thought about Ganon in that same sense for some reason, but thanks for pointing it out. Imagine if Link found the Fierce Deity Mask in Breath of the Wild. Since BotW seems to take place in the far future (at least 10,000 years after the last incarnation of Ganon, according to the story), Link would be even more unstoppable than in Majora’s Mask. That would be awesome to see.
That maybe true cause the mask's bare the same look as Link but don't you think that the mask's power is too much for Link I mean think about it you can only use the Fierce Deity Mask in boss fights and you can not use it on the overworld but I think the Triforce of Courage is balancing the mask's power so Link is able to control its power with the help of the other heroes that have come before him and maybe having a deep conversation with the other Links about their experiences and their destiny to fight the same evil in the world and i hope that we see it again in the future games
Sharingan1666 Interesting theory, but it doesn’t quite explain why it’s called the Mask of a Dark God. In every incarnation of Link, he’s always shown as a symbol of virtue & good. Maybe the Mask is supposed to be the antithesis of Link?

@@Zeltik light arrows don't work on the normal enemy stalfos in wind waker, the annoying skeleton lizards with the big black spiky clubs that spin around and you have to crush their head after you make them fall to pieces or they put themselves back together forever, light arrows do nothing to these enemies but make their heads spin comically, same as normal arrows

Fierce Deity Link was the ultimate reward for the pretty difficult task of getting all the masks. As a kid without a proper guide is was crazy trying to get them all, but worth it in the end 😊

Another idea - ik this doesn't help you with fighting actual enemies, but it still covers raw power - the wind waker, as it can quite literally control the winds, moving their direction, and creating tornadoes to move you from place to place.
Technically you are right but if the Wind Waker has the same argument but lost power then I would argue the Ocarina of Time. Manipulates the weather.
Allow you to teleport.
To manipulate the world around you and different way
But The Ocarina allows you to manipulate time even traveling back in time, slow down, or speed up the passage of time.
Yeah, but travelling across time only affects link, and the storms it makes are only local and small scale.
The wind waker effects the world on a global scale, literally changing the time of day for everyone, or changing the direction of the wind.
Just those two effects, could completely destroy the livelihoods of most people in the great sea, however the ocarina of time can only really be used in a direct focused effort, to either effect Link, or one other person.
Of course, what I said is never seen in the wind waker, but it would make sense to happen.
@@Boko someone never played Majora's mask..... or you weren't paying enough attention in either wind wacker or majors's mask. The song of passing in the wind Walker is either putting link in to Asus or something I'm not sure. Because if you look at the effects of the Wind Waker when you play that song everyone assumes the positions they would naturally at the time of day that it is almost like nothing changed. Honestly I have to say that Majora's Mask so I can't really say that one is superior over the other by that alone. There is nothing proving that the wind spell that you play in the Wind Waker is not selectively only around blink therefore your argument on manipulating the weather I have to say which one's more powerful a strong gust a thunderstorm now. How many hurricanes well we look at the environment when you come in and you'll notice that hurricane you summoned that transported you only caused couple hairs to blow around. The same thing happens in Majora's Mask so neither one of those abilities are any different. Well yes moving back in time and moving forward in time is sole link to link one last thing you forgot slowing down. I don't care if it's speeding up or slowing it down for everyone else either way you've got in the book.
@hyruleharry12345 no I have seen it. Austin think the it is the entire map of Wind Waker when in actuality around user I'd say at most it would have to be the size of the largest island you encounter in you encounter in Wind Waker. Austin often runs things to the extreme so does matter.
Firstly, I have played Majora's Mask, it's one of my favourite games...
As for the time travel thing - yeah, I realise now, you're right on that one.
As for the direction of the wind?
well, I can prove that whole weather thing isn't just selective to you (mostly anyway).
First of all, if you warp to other parts of the ocean, the wind is still facing said direction.
Secondly, the swift sail, another item in the game, is an item with the ability to change the wind selectively around you.
So, how could a magical sail be on par with a very item of the gods? I doubt it would be, meaning the wind waker has to be better.
The wind waker is literally quoted to "borrow the power of the gods". I'm pretty sure the gods are more powerful than a sail...
Of course that above is all just assumptions, but it is more likely that the wind waker affects the wind globally, rather than locally.
I still adore the fire rod from Link’s Awakening. It travels insanely quickly across the map to the point you can practically fire off multiple shots in various directions before you’d swing your sword once. Oh. And it oneshots everything, including the otherwise indestructible Swamp Flowers that you needed BowWow for earlier? And...it roasts everything ALIVE. Like, once I get that item in Turtle’s Rock I basically never use my sword again until I *have to for the game’s final boss. (Which, hey. I can use the boomerang during that final fight, and that’s another of my favorite items from that game.)
Who else think the Fierce Deity Mask is just The Avatar State of Zelda where all of the previous lives of The Hero group together in to one with god like power

So, Fierce Deity is basically if Link got the triforce piece of Power instead of Courage, I can see why they call it dark or bad considering what it did to Ganondorf o.o

The Triforce of Power wasn't evil itself. Ganondorf was the evil one. The Triforce split because Ganondorfs heart wasn't in balance. He wanted to have more power.
This is what I mean, what if Courage got the evil guy one cycle? Or Wisdom?
Do you want a villain that isn't ever afraid to stand against you or a villain that will outsmart/outwit you at every turn? :D

What I'll never get in any fiction story be it game, book or myth is the god have powerful objects but they leave them laying around for anyone to find and abuse. The Boomerang and Magical Rod in Link's Awakening are incredibly powerful too. Especially if you have the Flying Rooster with you

Okay so, after I beat Majora with the Fierce Deity’s Mask the first time, I decided to rematch it again-

Playing master mode and getting the obliterator was very nice. I was already at being one hit killed for most of the game, so it was just a pure upgrade with absolutely no downsides.

It's strange to me that you would say the One Hit Obliterator is 'only usable on the Plateau in a controlled Sheikah environment', and thus doesn't qualify for number 1... but the Fierce Deity Mask is only usable against a handful of bosses and in a fishing spot, yet it's number 1. From the logic you yourself used, that should disqualify it from the top spot.
I like your list, but to me, the Fierce Deity Mask would be lower, and Majora's Mask would be #1... since it doesn't seem to be limited in any way to a handful of locations, and also essentially makes its wearer a God-like being (regardless of whether it loses against Fierce Deity, you can still transform people, bring down the moon to destroy the planet, fly, teleport, etcetera). Crazy as hell, out of control and so on, but the list is about 'powerful items', not 'items that are a good idea to use'.

The real reason one hit oblitoraor shouldn't be number one is it's massive handicap of Link being killed in one hit himself, the Fierce Deity mask has no such weakness.

I always thought that stasis was a Zelda reference to the clock from the original legend of Zelda game as well as the Ancient arrows, I think the ancient arrows are a Zelda reference to the silver arrows in A link to the past.

Great video, but the Fused Shadow needs to be considered. A fraction of its power obliterates Zant, and Midna, who barely knows how to use it, smashes through Ganondorf's magic barrier immediately - even the Master Sword couldn't do that! The only reason Midna is defeated by Ganondorf is because of her inexperience, and because of Ganondorf's Triforce power. I'm disappointed that it didn't make the cut.
It is by far one of the most powerful items in the series.

The Bombos medallion does work on Kholdstare, the boss of the Ice Palace from ALTTP, the first phase that is. Saving you several blasts from the fire rod.
These videos are good reminders of how much nicer your voice and energy are than other TH-camrs.

I had a funny thought; Fierce Deity Link is probably Nintendo's answer to Sega's Super Sonic if you think about it. Both are super powerful, both are transformations, both are possibly inspired by dragon ball. If you think about it, Young Link turning into Fierce Deity Link is somewhat similar to Goku going SSJ4, both grow to their adult size when using them.

Poor microphone quality. Plus he sounds like he’s trying to sound professional but it causes the opposite as a result. It sounds fake and annoying. He needs to seriously work on how he puts huge emphasis on his sentences.

The fairy ocarina can do almost evrything that the ocarina of time can do(minus the time stuff oviusly)
Also I know this isn't Canon but in Hyrule Warriors, Young Link in Fierce Dirty Form is easily the most ridiculous character in the game, you can already clear hundred of enemies with any character but he does it so effortlessly that getting extremely high kill combos is a complete breeze. He even has an attack where he straight up cleaves the Majora's Mask moon in half like it's nothing.
You cannot really use cucco offensively, but you still have this insanely op item for some time in your inventory in OoT

I honestly would like a vid that even comes close to the idea I'm stumbling around on atm, mostly because my Zelda experience is mostly passive, only having finished Link's Awakening, Minish Cap and Wind Waker, didn't finish OOT (too scared as a 12 year old to fight Ganondorf, kind of a weenie move in hindsight)
Zelda Items That Are the Most Unique: Deku Leaf is a contender, given it's multipurpose, also the Cane of Pacci from Minish Cap, even if it's primarily puzzle solving
I completely agree with the fierce deity mask no matter how you look at it being given some power of the gods and turning into one is something entirely different like I feel like honestly his power could be a lot deeper than they are showing us

There is a way to use fierce deity outside of boss fights really easily on 3ds. ZeldaMaster did a video on it on his channel. All you need to do if equip any item that you can use like the hookshot to X or Y then you just open the camera replace the hookshot with the fierce deitys mask and time clicking both X (or Y) with L to close the camera. It still works it just might take a few attempts.
