      The first trailblazer got rear ended but was not street legal after the accident and the second one I currently own. It was a shame because the first vehicle still ran fine. I should have pulled the engine before it went to the salvage company. The second trailblazer is my everyday car rn it runs great. 👌

      @@lincolnbliss6046 I still have the same one my grandma used to own. Mine was made at a GM plant in Mexico and was used as a rental car. It's 17 years old and the motor runs like it just came off the showroom floor.

      Lol we put a flowmaster super 10 on my dads Envoy with the same engine. it made it sound so high performance lol Honestly that engine makes decent hp stock. like 285hp i think? But moving a semi-full size suv with the 4 speed auto limits it.

      @@frenchfrysz6695 I'm approaching 300K but the truck chassis had a lot of rust. So I have about six bottles of "Rust Dissolver" phosphoric acid - I use a toothbrush or wire brush to work in the gel - transform the rust back into iron phosphate. The two local mechanics don't want to deal with it. I just filled the front diff with 4 ounces of a magic snake oil Silicone Polymer from Titan Seal - to rebuild the leaking silicone inner shaft seal. Otherwise the whole front axle has to be removed - a serious pain. haha. I'm not a mechanic so - kind of a catch-22. Yeah it was my dad's car so I'm saving the car to save his memory. thanks for sharing. It's great for hauling stuff for sure. Big truck frame - unlike the Unibody Ford whatever.

      @@voidisyinyangvoidisyinyang885 theyre built pretty nice. Good ole body on a real full frame. His rotted away pretty good too. There was a hole in the frame the drivers side kinda near the upper control arm lol but my uncle owns it now and he had some patches welded in there. Its only got like 115k miles I think too lol but the salt up here destroys everything.

      @@voidisyinyangvoidisyinyang885 you have to undercoat it every winter to help save the vehicles lol all my first few cars you could literally lift up the carpet and "Fred Flintstone" your way across town if you wanted hahaha

      @voidisyinyangvoidisyinyang885 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@frenchfrysz6695 yeah I got a hole just behind the driver's door on the chassis - and the welder said I got lucky since it was in the neutral zone - that's what I thought when I researched it also. But the local mechanic insisted it could not be fixed! the welder disagreed and said I got lucky. Then I read how the spalsh from cars going the opposite direction is what causes that hole to appear by the driver's side frame. Yep - I'm in serious salt land and we had lived on a gravel road. I had no idea the road was covered in salt in the winter! Luckily the car was kept outside with no heat. Ironically it was the heated or insulated garage that started to really eat into the frame. ... Also the GM factory did not paint the frames - only put on a rubber coating that trapped water and wore off - and so anyone not totally scrutinizing their car frame would have it rotting away. I just had LOADS of sand and rust drop out from the body - just in front of the rear wheel. I replaced the lower rear control arms - and I had to take off the plastic cover dealy - and suddenly that whole body was rotted away with sand, etc. It was kind of hilarious. I don't really need that part of the body - apparently - since it had been only held up by the plastic for who knows how long. Hilarious!!
      So I'll see how long the chassis lasts - it's at 1/8 inch in parts of the chassis but I looked that up and that can still hold a lot of weight per square inch. So they did over-engineer the frame thankfully. I did read of one lady who had her frame snap in half on her!! I think it was the catalytic converter side - that gets vapor condensation and so rusts out quick. I think I caught that in time - again since the car was outside in the cold all the time maybe it was too cold to condense. Anyway - I need to do a check on that passenger side - with the wire brush on the drill. I did not use the wire brush on drill before - just sprayed the frame down with the phosphoric acid. haha. Then painted it and then sprayed on Cosmoline rp-342 - paraffin wax in a spray can. that does a great job of preventing the salt from getting through the paint. I need to go more of that stuff since when I jacked up the car then I revealed more rust as the jack cut through the paint. Luckily the rust seemed to have stopped spreading - so when I treated and painted it and sprayed the cosmoline that seemed to contain the damage.Also I used a boroscope to make sure I got the rust converted on the INSIDE of the box chassis frame also - using that special spray can system with the long nozzle.... It's a 360 degree spray nozzle also.

    7 seconds 0-60 is a crazy number for the size and age of these vehicles. I have an 09 GMC Envoy with this engine and ive beat almost every car ive ever raced from a standstill at a light. This engine deserves more love and attention and more people need to build these engines. They are sleepers! Imagine if this motor was put in a Chevy malibu or impala. Would smoke alot of the cars out there! Another crazy thing is how when you hammer it you are already at 45mph until you hit 2nd gear. Fuckin let her eat and it will beat a brand new car (not including sports cars) sitting next to you at a light!
