      It would a great help (especially using a Foxpro call) to show on screen which Foxpro sound or sounds you are playing at what volume number. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks!

      @@rognkidder7413 I have a video called "Top 3 Coyote Calling Sounds. I go over a good bit in this video about the sounds I use the most and what call volume I use as well. Each fox pro volume level is different depending on the unit.

    Good info. Imo I prefer to run my distress loud during the day unless I'm in the woods. A guy that kills a ton told me years ago rabbits don't scream in pain quietly. I just don't run it loud for 10 minutes. 2 minutes then switch it up to a different prey, slowly increasing the aggressiveness of the prey sound.. During September, October and November pups are dispersing and vocals will scare them more because they are being whooped out of the group. I lead with prey those months. When I made that change my success rate went way up During the fall. That's just what works for me. Great video!!

    I hunt coyotes in SW Florida. These dogs can get HUGE! I got one at 60lbs in 2012 1/2 the time they come in pairs, semi auto .22 mag is best. .243 shreds them, .22 LR isn't enough bullet velocity or range. My .22 Mag savage A22 semi auto is the shit!

    New subscriber here... & thanks for the content... I would like someone (including yourself) to give a set breakdown. Like just a drawing of where you sit, where your call is ( direction and distance from sitting position), & wind direction... yeah.... and anything else you think of along the way... Thanks!

    I hunt in northeast Ga and I can’t get em to answer at all in the day time. Any ideas??

    • @SouthernExtremeTV
      @SouthernExtremeTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Getting them to answer back is tough in the day time on this side of the country. Just use the bowl to start to let them know you’re in the area. Then use soft slow distress sounds to get them to commit. At the end of the set hit them hard with a pup distress incase they are locked up just out of range. Hope this helps.

    Need some help man! I live on eastern shore of Maryland. Coyotes are very very very rare here. I have 200 acres on the back side of Pocomoke state Forest. Last year I had a run in 20 feet from a coyote on my way to the stand by my food plot. He didn't back down away from me at all and was just a stare off for a while. This year I have 3-4 coyotes on trail cameras and barking/howling in the woods every night. A lot of my mature deer have fled the property. I don't know what to do or where to start. I do not have equipment (calls, night vision scopes, etc.) Last night on my way out of bow stand I played a rabbit in distress on my phone while walking back to my truck. They went crazy at about 100 yards but wouldn't close the distance. decided it wasn't a good idea to try to get them any closer with just a bow so I got to my truck. my woods are thick pines and a lot of swamp. Any clue how to kill off these pests? i do not want to trap them or have to check my traps everyday. What would be my easiest way for a rookie to get them in day light to put a 5.56 on them?!?!

    Brother how you hunt coyote all the time with the way ammo is? You got bulk ammo? You got the ammo hook up? Stay safe. God bless you.

    What time of day normally is the best for hunting? I see a lot of videos of mid-day mostly.

    • @SouthernExtremeTV
      @SouthernExtremeTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Out west where the population is thicker, the mid day hunt can work really well. Here on the eastern part of the country, my opinion is that first light until aprox 10 am and from 4 until dark would be the best times to call during daylight hours. But hunting at night is 1000% your best bet for knocking down a song dog. Thanks for watching! Might make another video based on this topic, been getting a lot of interest in daytime coyote hunting.

      @@SouthernExtremeTV Thanks for the reply! That was what I was thinking too. I am in north Louisiana and rarely hear them during the day. I have a night vision scope on my .300 blackout and plan to put it to good use for coyotes. I have already had success with the piggies.
