how are you getting the email for the rappers you send the beats to for placements? most bigger rappers I find only have a booking email in their IG bio
I just go through IG man and find the emails man

Make as many connections as possible with other producers. I got all my emails from producer friends. Also all rappers have some kind of an email exclusively for beats (a lot of them look something like this: beats4lilcock@gmail.com, lilcumbeats@gmail.com). Make a stash in an app like notes or docs where you keep all your rapper emails. Make sure all of them are organized and labeled properly so theyre easy to find when you send out for placements. Hope this helped ;)
Also those vst sale pages have them, just make sure youre not paying too much for them

@@tempo_808 I would think Mastered/No Headroom as just another layer of security. I have not sent out many beats via email, but if you have more than one tag, and there's no headroom, if it is stolen it's gonna be a bad mix haha. If they want to use it to record some lines to, they can just level it out a little bit and then if they're wanting to use it they'll purchase. From the rappers that I have gotten sales from, they downloaded my beats for free on Beatstars (I have tagged 2x and no headroom) and then later on purchased. One told me that's his process, and he just needs it to spitball ideas to

But I was also thinking whether this is the way to go to sell a beat. And there is a different approach in trying to get a placement.
Because a "famous" artist gets maybe tons of mails with beats and will not reach out to the producer a second time and wait to record properly on it.
In this case a mastered mp3 with no headroom could be a reason for not getting the placement.?

But like, when you send them the beats, should you take it down from the beatstore ? And what if someone purchase a beat and the artist you sent him the same beat also use it ?

I normally send the beats out before I upload them man, then if I don't get much interest I'll drop them on my store, or if they are already on my store I'll leave them up until I get a contract

So i get asked to send beats out, ill send em a pack but every time they open it it always says "You don't have access" When i clearly gave them access... This problem has been fucking me over good to the point the artist don't even msg back, PLEASE HELP

Why would you put your beat on Spotify. That will completely destroy the placement.

when i send out beats i send them tagged mp3s with about 4-5 tags, should i only do one? i normally leave contact info and say reply back for untagged wav files or stems. should i change how i do this?
It's totally up to you to be fair, I normally just send out untagged beats
