Going to look up more but I run stihl saws and I admit I only cut for firewood but my saws do not run that fast or throw those kinds of chips. Can someone show what your running and modifications done. Chain pitch and style of chains m the works because I want mine to run that fast and bury my legs in chips before I can pull it out.
@@ericharris893 that makes sense. I run 3/8 skip tooth with modified exhaust and carbon fiber bars. I am usually cutting hedge or Osage orange and it's the hardest and hottest to cut and burn. Best to cut green or it throws extra sparks.
We have more white and red fir, with a few Douglas fir in our area, and I first thought that might have been a white fir. I would recognize them by their needles, but the bark is very similar. Firewood is probably hardwood. Conifer trees cut faster. He’s probably running (my guess) skip tooth 3/8 square ground razor sharp.
