I thought Meksen was doing good early on with her leg kicks and her straight, but it seemed like she just kept doing that while Tiffany kept giving her different looks. Also I think Tiffany landed more major strikes overall. It was a good fight.

Amazing fight. Was even up till the 3rd round... Tiffany attacked Anissa's Liver and right eye with bad left knees and left jabs respectively. That affected Anissa's gas tank and maybe vision. Anissa's accuracy wanned and her ability to throw in volumes left her... Seemed like it was just a game of who can hit significant strikes better not just volume. Both are great fighters no doubt... Both showed amazing fight IQ, set up traps and distance control was top notch though. Very entertaining.
Just recently found Tiffany and have been binge watching her fights lol. How Many times did Tiffany and anissa fight? Seen a fight between them yesterday where anissa won by split decision but seemed like she got some favor from the judges that fight.
Im only at 12.55 but what is it with these two commentators, praising everything Meksen does and ignoring everything Tiffany throws. Think its pretty even at this point though.
I’m so glad my Tiffany got her belt back. I was quite concerned when she lost the first round but she stayed focused on the goal and did what she had to do and boom......it’s in the bag.

Van Soest won the fight though not that convincingly and it is one fight out of three. Mekksen is still number 1 by her record. I like Van Soest for her persistence and how she trains but what I like of Mekksen is that she stands her ground readily exchanging blows and not being the first to back off. She was not performing her best though for her punches were short but when she was in range she found Van Soest around her neck as she was never going to win a long exchange of punches. Should fight again, see if Van Soest can level it or Mekksen can go 3 to 1 and settle it.

She called Glory and they didn't helped, they have just said that if she didn't come to the fight, she will have to pay a lot of money and she will lose her belt as well. So a lot useless pressure then I don't think Tiffany won this fight legit though, although I give her round three. A lot of Tiffany's shots, especially her spectacular techniques, didn't land. Neither fighter had the advantage in the clinch, their knee exchanges there were pretty much even. Anissa landed more low kicks from what I could see, and they both had good moments with their straight right hands, although I think Anissa landed more of those. Tiffany got cautioned a lot for elbows and holding, and there were at least two places where Anissa defended the hold well. I wouldn't say its major a hurdle for Meksen, knowing you beat someone twice gives you every confidence you have your opponents number. At times though that confidence can transition into arrogance. I believe Meksen really wanted to put a stamp on the rivalry by finishing Tiffany, but got frustrated when she just couldn't find that opening for the killer blow as Tiffany gave her different looks every single time. In addition, Tiffany was hungry to win her belt back and get that win over Meksen which to her credit, she did.
Glory is hard. The rules limit Muay Thai and traditional karate fighters... And the judging is somewhat weird. The judges seem to have favourites. Glad van Soest won this time. It was close, but I think she should still have won even if they had deducted a point for the elbow... and they should have.
If in France with French judges I wonder what the scoring would be. The straight lefts and rights worked all fight for Meksen, she should have used them more, Tiffany was fitter in the end, but who scored more ? Close eh!

Kazuto Castillo ya this is one of those circumstance fights where even though she threw nearly double the strikes, it just didn’t do much to stop her opponents game either though. They liked how she was more aggressive n landed more “significant strikes” rather than just touching them up more often. I’d feel like for a number of judges, they get droned from watching so many fights that are generally similar. Maybe for some of them they’d prefer to see flashy effective stuff rather than pit pats the whole time.

Tiffany is awesome and deserved the W. but if you fight someone twice, and beat them twice, how inspired or motivated to fight them could you possibly be in the 3rd match. seems like a major hurdle on its own for Meksen
I wouldn't say its major a hurdle for Meksen, knowing you beat someone twice gives you every confidence you have your opponents number. At times though that confidence can transition into arrogance. I believe Meksen really wanted to put a stamp on the rivalry by finishing Tiffany, but got frustrated when she just couldn't find that opening for the killer blow as Tiffany gave her different looks every single time. In addition, Tiffany was hungry to win her belt back and get that win over Meksen which to her credit, she did.

Glad van Soest won this time. It was close, but I think she should still have won even if they had deducted a point for the elbow... and they should have.
If in France with French judges I wonder what the scoring would be. The straight lefts and rights worked all fight for Meksen, she should have used them more, Tiffany was fitter in the end, but who scored more ? Close eh!
Tiffany was stronger. Her kicks were more powerful and she did more damage.
Meksen had better hands but didn't land clean and powerful enough to back up Tiffany.

A lot better performance by Tiffany. Gone is that loud mouth manager that was all I could hear on another fight Tiffany had. I think all that shouting by the manager affected her performance that bout. Not so this one and she did good!

Kazuto Castillo ya this is one of those circumstance fights where even though she threw nearly double the strikes, it just didn’t do much to stop her opponents game either though. They liked how she was more aggressive n landed more “significant strikes” rather than just touching them up more often. I’d feel like for a number of judges, they get droned from watching so many fights that are generally similar. Maybe for some of them they’d prefer to see flashy effective stuff rather than pit pats the whole time.
